They were in a prog rock band before they formed Magdalena Bay. The drummer that played on this album, and tours with them, was also in that prog rock band. I first heard Magdalena Bay on Sirius XMU (satellite radio) a few years ago.

First of all, this is the only reaction channel that feels sincere to me. Found ya’ll from the Jeff Rosenstock one and it was a blast to watch. Also just wanted to say it’s wild that this album has a whole second disc of b-sides that are also amazing, sometimes better. Definitely check out the “from the basement” video they put out. It’s fucking crazy seeing humans make this music and the change-ups are really cool.
