    #interviewquestions #interviewquestionsandanswers #behavioralinterviewquestions
In this tutorial, Richard McMunn will teach you how to answer the behavioral interview question: TELL ME ABOUT A TIME YOU DEALT WITH A DIFFICULT CO-WORKER!
Difficult co-workers are a pain! They can make the working environment more challenging than it already is. Therefore, when an interviewer says to you, tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult co-worker, you need to be smart in how you answer it!
Do not say, you informed your manager about the difficult co-worker, and never say you ignored them. But how do you answer this challenging behavioral interview question without failing your interview?
Well, if you have a job interview coming up soon for any role or company, stay tuned because I will give you the perfect answer in a live interview!
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO THE CHANNEL AND GIVE THE VIDEO A LIKE. THANK YOU 🙏
THIS IS WHAT I WILL COVER DURING THIS BEHAVIOURAL INTERVIEW TRAINING TUTORIAL!
#1. I will explain why the interviewer is asking you the question, Tell Me About A Time When You Had To Deal With A Difficult Co-worker! If you understand WHY the question is being asked, you can give the perfect, top-scoring answer.
#2. I will tell you the number one BEST METHOD for structuring your answer to this, and any other behavioral interview question, that will get you the highest scores possible.
#3. I will then give you a brilliant example answer in a live interview to the question, Tell Me About A Time When You Had To Deal With A Difficult Co-worker that will help you be the standout candidate!
WHY IS THE INTERVIEWER ASKING YOU THE QUESTION, TELL ME ABOUT A TIME WHEN YOU HAD TO DEAL WITH A DIFFICULT CO-WORKER!
They are asking you this interview question for 2 reasons.
REASON #1. How you deal with difficult co-workers says a lot about your maturity, your interpersonal skills, and your teamwork skills. Unless you deal with a difficult co-worker in a smart and confident manner, the team’s progression can often be impacted.
REASON #2. They want to hear of a previous situation where you successfully dealt with a difficult co-worker because if you have prior experience of this type of situation, you will more likely be a great fit for their team.
Let me now tell you the NUMBER ONE BEST METHOD for structuring your answer to the behavioural interview question, tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult co-worker.
The best method to use is called the STAR TECHNIQUE.
The STAR technique stands for, situation, task, action, and result.
    - Start off your answer and tell the interviewer the SITUATION you were faced with.
    - Second, tell the interviewer the TASK that needed doing.
    - Next, give specific details about the ACTION you took to achieve the task.
    - Finally, finish off your answer and tell the interviewer the RESULTS following your actions.
LET ME NOW GIVE YOU A BRILLIANT EXAMPLE ANSWER IN A LIVE INTERVIEW TO THE BEHAVIOURAL INTERVIEW QUESTION, TELL ME ABOUT A TIME WHEN YOU HAD TO DEAL WITH A DIFFICULT CO-WORKER: 04:04

      It’s on August 3rd.
Basically I’m an investigator in financial crime compliance which is a back end job and one of my stakeholders are my relationship managers who would reach out to the customer on behalf of us. Not always would they be willing to go back to customer to get the information requested by us, sometimes they would even escalate back at us stating this information request is not necessary but we would still need that info as per process. I’ve been asked this question in all of my interviews and this is one question where I’m not sure how to articulate my answer or even give an appropriate example. Your video will definitely help me crack this one.

Would this be an ok answer
Myself and a co worker didn't see eye to eye due to a task held out at work. I remember I went to the crew room while she was there and I asked her in a calm manner,is there any difficulties between us,to which she replied oh not this again I don't want to talk about it. That same day the co worker was in a very foul mood and my shift manager called me and the co worker into the office. She explained what the situation was and the co worker blamed me for her ways. I explained to her that i understand our difficulties and the manager explained to the co worker to try and be more efficient towards me. She then replied OK and apologized.

As I say in the video, it is important that you can demonstrate you can resolve conflict yourself. You can of course tell your manager, but hiring managers will want to know you have the skillset to engage with people in a professional manner and that you won't need to involve others if it isn't necessary.

I work for Fedex, you see there all kind of things. From coworkers cheating on the spouses with their coworkers, men thinking we have it in our forehead. Never ever get involved with a coworker, is a dangerous mix, you can end up loosing your job in the process. Two days ago a coworker even had the nerves of threatening me in front of 15… other drivers. He got angry because I stand up after he began yelling at me and told him a few things in front of others. Still yesterday the guy didn’t had enough the day before and the manager talking to him about not getting near me. He goes with one of my packages and threw it against the cement in front of my truck and gave me a dirty look. A very difficult guy and I’m not the only he’s been into arguments with.
