i recently bought S20FE early 2024 february(not brand new) snapdragon variant 4g with 6gb ram. the ram management at first was really really bad, i feel like 6gb is not enough for android 13.but after a week of use it start to adapt to my usage and keep getting better in the ram management. Battery wise,it very very solid not the greatest though. on average i got 5hrs to 5hrs30-40min SOT(my mobile data is always on,cuz most of my activities require mobile data)85-90% of my usage my mobile data is on.but they're time the battery performed very worse than it does,in summer, the phone quickly heat and drain battery faster, during that time i got 4hrs SOT. but the best battery performance I've got with the S20FE was 6hrs40min SOT. gaming wise,i also play PUBG and when i calculate the battery discharge and predict how long it'll last if it maintain same discharging speed ,it can give me 4hrs or slightly less of non stop gaming, cuz i game for 1hrs40min to 2hrs 3min and in average it discharge 25-28% per hour of gaming PUBG(using mobile data)
Watching this on S20 FE with the snapdragon. This is the best phone that I ever had for that price. It is still really smooth and everything just works. The battery is also not bad. Still probably gonna have it for a year or two.
I am watching this on my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4g. Snapdragon version. Mine lasts me the entire day ranginf from 4-6 hrs of SOT with a bit of gaming, social media ext. My battery is three-years old now.
@mbgrg Still a great phone, despite its age and no more major or even security updates soon. Mine still goes strong, sometimes reaches about 3:30 mins SOT which isn't great, but gets me throughout the day though that's on mobile data. With WiFi, I can reach 5 hrs SOT sometimes.
it's still one of the best phones..tell me which phone nowadays can we have that can have 1TB plus storage at a budget prize ? My S20FE is a beast in all respects, processor, battery, camera, user interface, display, and a lot more, with more than 1TB storage(I have put in a 1TB SD card, along with the already present 128GB), unlike any phones that come at budget prizes with just about 256GB non expandable storage
I got one in February 2023, same color, 4G Snapdragon version, loving it since day one. Small issues here and there but most of them are fixable or just forgettable. I also use GCam with it and it just works so well, especially the selfies look incredible. Love the software as well, my first actual Samsung phone and I love it. I can only upgrade and get a S23 or just stick with it and I don't want to pay for that, I don't need it.

Very informative video. I've been using an S20 FE for around three years. It's been a great phone. I use my phone a lot, and it's not uncommon for me to have to charge it two or three times during the day. Since the phone is no longer being supported with software updates, I'm considering upgrading to an S24+ after the S25's launch, to take advantage of a discounted price.
S20 fe was the last price/performance phone by samsung, there isn't even a competition after this phone is released, and goes on after a few years. Samsung made a mistake by releasing this complete package with proper pricing, and stops this behavior after this phone. Sadly, Samsung acts like the apple nowadays...
Well made video! I've had the 5G version since December 2020 and it's been great overall. Battery life is still good enough for me, but that's very subjective. The back has started to separate from the frame in places so it's probably not waterproof anymore, but I'm not too worried about that. I'm only considering replacing it because it will stop getting security patches in a few months. I'll keep using at least until the end of 2024 and then we'll see.
I got the S20 FE back in 2020 and it has served me pretty well. Unfortunately, the past few months I have been dealing with charge port issues (I work construction and it would often get clogged). I finally switched to an S24+ today. Though my S20 probably still has a lot of life left and I could get the port fixed, which I may do and keep it as a back up phone. The best thing about this phone is expandable storage! I am so upset new phones don't have any SD card slots!
I had the Exynos version and had to trade it. Battery life was the worst I've ever had in a phone and it would get ridiculously hot when not being used.
Have mine (5g, snapdragon), since March 21, the back plastic started to separate from the phones body, the battery isn't good enough and drowning relatively fast, and the most annoying thing about the s20 fe is the notorious SIM card problem, the phone doesn't detect the sim and then you basically can not use it until its over (sometimes hour), thats the reasons that I want to replace it by now
I prefer the galaxy s20 fe 5g over my iphone 14 pro, i am planning of getting rid of the ip14pro, i mean, this galaxy phone is actually pretty awesome. And where i live, samsung pay doesn't exist even, so, i unlocked the bootloader, installed twrp, and installed a rom called UN1CA, which brings oneUI 6.1 from the S23 to the s20 fe. And the phone runs it like a champ, the exynos batterylife is worse than on the sd version. I got my s20 for free from my cousin. He went for a new phone, and it lasts me 2 days! I don't use it heavily, and the performance is great, the sd 865 is still a beast (can't talk about the exynos version). And i heard you talk about heat, the sd version doesn't get all that warm. But anyway, this device is everything i need from a phone, i was planning on moving to android anyway because of the customizations and stuff.
my s20fe 5g fell and the screen got damaged. I love the phone so much. Is it advisable to fix it or buy a new phone. If getting a new phone is the option, what is the phone close to s20fe with similar features?
I have been using s20 fe 5g for the past 3 years I get on avg sot of 5hrs with 85% battery usage with no gaming or 30 mins of coc a day The battery has degraded ,if i changed the battery i definitely would have 6+ hours of sot with 85% battery usage
asking pp using this phone in 2024 : does your camera experience in 3rd party apps like Tiktok, Instagram or Locket get good? bc like, im planning to buy this for daily using with social apps but didnt know how it will perform in 2024..
i got mine today change battery to 2 bad things it as a tiny crack on the bottom left but barely see it when screen is on and light burn in the 4g version
i have had nothing but trouble with this phone with the sd card, it has ruined old and new photos taken on this device and put coloured blocks and just last week the phone deleted all 22000 photos and videos from the dcim directory on the sd card which in turn deleted the google photos backup..NOT HAPPY!!!! clearly samsungs software updates is corrupting the cards as I have used 3 different samsung sd cards and had same issue with all of them
im not going to lie, this phone is amazing, one of the best, however, the snapdragon 865 version with the 6gb ram has really bad battery life for busy users. If I was someone who had to be outside 8 - 12 hours of the day, this phone will not last you all that time without a powerbank or thoughtful usage.
I have the 5g version of this device & everything works fine cameras, UI, 120hz. The worst part is the battery life, after software updates still nothing is improve & it only last for 6-8 hours under heavy or light usage.
The last update and I mean last update my 20fe battery life went down the drain. I researched and researched and could not find the fix. Broke down and did factory reset after backup to a Samsung solid state drive, T7. Back to normal now. There's two of these phones in my household. the other one went through that upgrade without issues. was looking at s24 and the plus but just keeping this phone for now as it still rocks.
