I thought ceramic coated headers were good enough to dissipate heat without the use of wrap. And how did you get a hold of gold plated insulation on the firewall? That must've been very expensive.
You don’t want to dissipate the heat, quite the opposite. You want to contain it within the header and evacuate it through the exhaust. That’s what the wrap is for.
@@Gripworkz Interesting. Thanks for the info.
Milano red is the oem color of this Ej1. If anyone needs the paint code its R81. I'm not to thrilled about the paintball over the wiring harness however?
Everything in life needs to be Milano Red
Agreed
Great video, cant wait to see more on this Civic, im getting an EJ1 next week.
We have plenty more videos for the car coming soon! Oh...and another Honda project will reveal itself soon 😉
What headers are those?
I have a b20b swap ek with some eBay headers that are all banged up
I’m tryna upgrade
We believe they’re skunk 2
hi bro just asking if swap b20b none vtec phk ecu can i use p75 ecu it will work
Any obd1 ECU can be flashed for a b series swap. We recommend contacting HA Motorsports.
How much hp did that make with that set up
We haven’t had the car on the dyno so we don’t know the exact power but if we had to guess we’d say somewhere between 140-150 whp
This is my next move with my eg. Did yall use stock harness or harness out the integra?
Rywire obd1 budget tuck harness
Love the videos, builds are super simple and clean! Quick question, gathering parts rn to b20b swap my 93 eg sedan, keeping the engine stock would my factory eg harness plug into obd1 p75 ecu?
Yeah if your car is a 93 it’s an obd1 harness and it should plug right in
Perfect color combination😍
Luis thanks you lol
I have a automatic 01 crv with a b20z and a automatic 93 civic with a D series motor in it. The transmission is blown on the civic. I'm wanting to get the civic running as a daily while I rebuild the crvs b20 (has 175k miles). Would I be better off keeping the civic automatic with the d series and when I b20 swap it. Or should I manual swap it either with the d series or when I go to put the b20 in. This would me my first swap so any suggestions that a newcomer might need to know would be much appreciated.
What’s your budget?
@@Gripworkz I'd like to keep it as cheap as possible but still have room for me to improve it when I have money. I'm currently 16 and the civic is my friends dad's car (he put it in his garage 20+ years ago when the transmission blew and he said he'll keep it there for a few more years for me) but I'm trying to plan out and prepare everything I will need to do this. So budget isn't a major concern as I have time to save before diving into this. The crv runs great (I currently drive it) and the civic ran when it was put away but as I previously stated the transmission is blown.
The cost of doing any of this is pretty similar. B series manual transmissions are more expensive than d series. It’ll be less expensive for you to go d series since you already have an engine, b20’s are getting expensive. If you want to have fun you’ll have to do a manual conversion no matter what. You can find all those parts at a junkyard. It’ll probably be better for you to stick with the d series since you’re new at all this. Work your way up from there.
@@Gripworkz @Gripworkz @Gripworkz thank you for your advice. And when I get to the point of swapping in the b20 would putting the D series in my crv be a possibility or would that require custom fabrication of parts to mount the engine. Because I do live up north and would love to keep my crv because it handles snow quite well
I’m not sure if it has the power/torque to move the ceviche around efficiently. I’d keep the CRV b series and the civic d series
Did u have to rearrange the mounts or anything to do a d to b series swap
You buy b series swap mounts, we used Hasport
What radiator is that?
Oem aftermarket replacement for a DC2 integra with ASR relocating brackets
Thank you
Clean simple 😍👌
What transmission box did they use?
We used a b series Type R LSD transmission that we got from JDM of california. Theres a seperate video about that transmission on our channel.
Which harness you using?
Rywire
👍👍
My mom bought me this engine swap when I was 23. I had so many jealous racist haters.
It's a good motor 🤷♂️
@@Gripworkz I drove it from Longview, tx to Daytona Beach, fl and back easily. It had about 100,000 on it when I got it, 250,000 when I sold it. Only had a starter and water pump issue with it.
That's awesome! Unfortunately for us, being in California, this car might have to go back to a D-series
@@Gripworkz since I already had the b18, building a d series could be fun. Especially if it has VTEC. Go with a good cam, injectors, ram air, pistons, etc...
Yeah we'll see what comes out of it, but we're doing TONS of honda videos soon, we're stacking tons if parts for all 3 hondas on the channel and are all going racing at vtec club in January
Non vtec? Poo
whootysweat ha non vtec is the way! especially for route they going with budget, a nicely built civic in my opinion
