- Suzuki in South Africa is posting record sales numbers in a market which is contracting just about every month. As a small car specialist, they already have a few on offer: the Celerio (current title holder in our Cars Awards), two versions of the Swift and in the slightly larger C-segment, the Baleno.
But the Ignis, in many ways, is an altogether new torchbearer for the brand. With its quirky looks - it has bucketloads of character - a funky interior and a plucky 1.2-litre engine, it seems to be everything Suzuki wants to be as a brand.
In this video, we take a detailed look at the Ignis's engine, interior, boot space and real-world fuel economy. We also compare it to the Renault Sandero Stepway and the Volkswagen Cross up!

I bought this car. This review is spot on. Zippy little car with attitude. They didn't mention the LED headlights and running lights, which are awesome! The back end is ugly, so I reverse park everywhere. :) I needed a car that was light on fuel and had decent ground clearance, the Ignis was the answer.

Can we get a review with the Renault Clio? I need to buy a small hatchback but the only Renault Clio video you guys have is that of the GT line and Trophy. I need more help with the small hatchbacks. My limit is R250K
2020/2021 facelift is great.
In highest trim Level 5 stars for Security. Three Assistent Systems, Dual camera lane control and automatic pedestrian Emergency Brake. More airbags. Better mild Hybrid and funky new grill.

Some like its rear view verymuch hay bro if u feel ugly just paint on that black part with body colour afer it looks awesome i did that and i stick a lean hard reflector now it have very nice looks
Ignis 2020 model looks is very nice both front and rear also side profile..I think it is excellent looks and very unconventional.

Mini cooper founder name is Sir Alec issigonis. Is name ignis related to Issigonis? But the purpose he made mini is to create cheap small good gasoline cunsumption car. Same with my ignis. I use this ignis in indonesia petrol tipe since 2018 that use AGS matic transmition that actualy manual transmition with computer so has only two pedal.
Very valueble money car with price same as the cheapest toyota or daihatsu car in indonesia we get the Nexa car branded from suzuki in india. Imported to indonesia. Very top in gasoline consumption in indonesia 17 km/ L in trafic jam, quiet car , good looking exterior and nice interior design, we get extrem Air conditioner panel, LCD monitor music player JVC.
I like using AGS transmition we can use manual that can fast aceleration in city and use automatic mode in highway.
In maintanance fee and oil is 1/ 3 daihatsu or toyota. Body plat ignis is so thick, more thick than the highest price Toyota car Fortuner SUV. Ground clearence is high so match with the majority bad road in my country. Before i use Daihatsu Sirion hathback low ground clearance that often body repair because road condition. Since 2018 until now 40.000 km

Hello it is a creat car, but not made for gravel roads, the steering rack is very direct not like other vehicles

It is a very nice looking car. However - why every other country has a touch screen with Android auto as standard- and not sa- only suzuki can answer. Instead they fit it with a rather 1985 looking radio. Your Renault comes standard with nav.
Hi Gareth, good point. As we released the video, Suzuki did announce that the touchscreen infotainment system is available in SA. We're still trying to track down a price for the upgrade, we'll reply here when we have it.
Hi Gareth, Android Auto is not available in South Africa. Android's choice, not Suzuki's. You can get a touchscreen radio that's set up for Android Auto so that you can connect when it's here, otherwise you can download the Pioneer AppRadio application.
I went to Suzuki this weekend the touch screen will cost you an additional R 8,000.00 more or less.
Should I keep my Fiat 500?
Its a pity it cannot take a towbar . . So i'll keep my Sandero.
In Denmark it can take a tow bar and 1000 kg. on it. Just bought One Black Ignis with the tow bar😃

front and sides are looking quite good (and special!), the rear on the other hand is just ugly.
There are much more good looking cars in this segment and I can say so because I drive a Nissan Micra K13
