  • The 2023 Suzuki Ignis is quite literally an abomination. But I love it to bits.
    Suzuki calls this a compact-SUV, whereas most people would call this a micro-hatchback... especially considering the Ignis weighs - get this - 865kg. So what makes me love this micro-SUV so, so... so much? Well, this review will tell you everything you need to know about the 2023 Suzuki Ignis!

    Hey bro... Don't underestimate ignis... I have using it for 1 year... I drove 13000 km... No problem yet.. And I have drive in hilli region of himalayas several times... Much better in fuel economy.. Much better torque... Best economic car for a middle class Indian.. Obviously... More the money you drain for car.. More the features you gain.. But what I needed I found in my ignis... I am satisfied with it.. And no trace of doubt

      Hi. Thanks for your comment. I am considering to buy Ignis to drive in a rural area with hills in Mongolia 😀 Ignis is not so popular in Mongolia (for now I guess) and I saw Ignis only once or twice and got interested in. More I research more I find it appealing. In case I buy it, I will buy hybrid version which is kind of 4wd from Japan. We mostly import second hand cars from Japan. What is the reliability and built quality in your experience? Another option I am considering is a second hand Toyota Prius 20/30 which is the most driven car in Mongolia. Are you familiar with Prius?

      @@RealeaD if it is made in japan, than you have nothing to worry about. The used cars and electronics from japan are still good. Ignis with AWD or 4WD is just the best in its class. I hope you will get the best out there. Make sure you do proper car inspection before buying it. Bring someone you trust who understands car. My friend has FWD ignis and it can climbs on smooth road very good.

      @@RealeaD with the constant operation over one year, ignis is basically made for city ride, due to it's less fuel consumption...i have manual patrol version of ignis in overcrowded city like Delhi.. And it is fantastic for fuel economy.. Though I had long travel several times in Himachal pradesh, kashmir and uttarakhand those are in Himalayas, I have drive through kunzum pass greater than 4000 ft, very smooth driving in offroad due to admirable ground clearance... Talking about built quality: it is to be improved( India made)..
      Mongolian terrain in similar to our ladakh region, where ignis prove itself eligible for driving... Thank you

    My adult son has a 12 year old Suzuki Alto which he bought brand new, and he intends to drive it until it dies, and then buy a Suzuki Ignis. He drives daily from Macquarie Hills in Lake Macquarie to Ramm Botanicals at Kangy Angy on the NSW Central Coast, and he won't even think of anything else but an Ignis. Where he lives the driveway is very steep, and the Ignis is the only small car with enough ground clearance to make it easy to enter the driveway without bottoming. Add to that the fantastic turning circle and it's a no-brainer!

    The 2018 Ignis that I purchased from Japan, has every feature that this one has. Additionally, it is a mild hybrid system that gets me more miles per gallon and launches me from 0-100km in 11.1 seconds. It also has dual camera brake support (DCBS) attached to the front windshield, to warn me in advance of a collision, or to warn me if I accidentally swerve onto another lane. (Lane assist) The dashboard flashes or lights up in a bright red colour in addition to beeping, to alert me to engage the brakes or get back onto my lane. If I do not engage the brakes in time, the computer engages the brakes for me. I absolutely love this feature. Mine also has 4-wheel drive, 360 camera, shifters at the top of the steering wheel, and heated leather seats.

    I´ve been driving the Ignis Hybrid CVT for 3 months now, and ignoring the fact, that you cannot get it here with the full equipment, automatic a/c, cruise control, and keyless go, I absolutely love this wee car. It´s not a racer, for sure, but it´s comfy, spacy, doesn´t need much gas, fits into every parking lot, and is even able to pull my tent-trailer.So, what else do you want? A bonnie wee car. I just can tell, try it, and you will fall in love.

    Well done guys! Great fun, and informative too. We just bought a (used, 2017) manual shift hybrid 2WD Ignis, and it is delightful. It replaces another Suzi - a Liana - after 20 years of immaculate reliability...
    Yes, I'd recommend doing a long term Ignis test, they do seem to wear well, and just think of the fun you can have pulling unexpected U-ies!
    We found a Latin-American site with a comparison of off-road between a slew of cheaper 4WD cars, and their 4WD Ignis was not quite the best at the severe dirt hill-climb test.
    The trick seems to be to throw it at the hill . . . but then if you have one on long-term you can experiment with different techniques. Thanks!

    I drive a July-2022 model Maruti Suzuki Ignis in India with a Peppy 1.2 litre Engine & it's a Front wheel Drive.
    It is very steady at 80kmph at Highway and DOESN'T BOUNCE if you keep company recommended Tyre Pressure. STEERING is Precise and 180mm GC makes this car bit tall but not so tall.
    My 83 years old Precious Mother found Ingress and Exit So Easy which is the main criteria for me in choosing Ignis.
    I am SO HAPPY with my Ignis in Nexa Blue Color 💙

    I am now on my second Ignis. Bought the first one in 2018, I had a manual Mazda 2, but needed a small automatic to teach my grandson to drive, I had attempted to teach his mother in a manual. At an intersection, I was checking traffic and looked across to see her looking under the steering wheel watching the raising of the clutch. Then in early 2022 I was checking-out cars online and saw one, same spec (incl colour) as the one tested here ready for delivery (unusual what with COVID); could not resist; had to promise the family accountant not to buy another high end video camera or laptop for a couple of years. The car is everything these gentlemen say. I mostly use mine to transport the youngest grandkids to and from school, shopping and shorter (Penrith to Parramatta) volunteer work trips. On the freeway it is great, have experienced it on a not so good road from Nowra to Canberra recently, bumps were felt. What was not mentioned was the speed limiter, a great feature, desirable alternative to cruise control in traffic.

    it's a great city car or micro suv like somesay. It's compact, fuel efficient and the departure angle is quite high for its size never been stucked while other minis did (like brio, agya or old yaris). So good and looks like suzuki still making formula for the next gen (we got only facelifted so far from a 2015-ish first batch)

    Only cons i find is lower thigh support in rear seat & yes agreed harder suspension to avoid wobbling for tall boy cars, but still could have been little softer. Also would recommend to have Bridgestone tyres with more wheel base, gives more confidence when moving above 100 kmph( downside drop in mileage), still easy drive car

    Welcome back to Oz Matt. And Jacob thanks for holding the fort (not fart). Wish Ignis had a digital speed dislay 'cos as I get older, I rely on it compared with a clockshape device.(speedo I think). And. How does it stack up against the Kia Picanto, one of the last cars in this segment even though I recognise the Ignis is actually an SUV, albeit a very small one.

    The Ignis which is sold in India scored 1 Star in NCAP rating. The one sold in your country appears to be built stronger.

    • @pallavraj1923
      @pallavraj1923 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This ignis is sure better probably because it has 6 airbags vs 2 in India but if you only consider the old protocols it’s a 3 star rated car, just like the tiago is 4 under old protocols…without side curtain airbags no can score above 2 stars as per new rules…its fairly safe tbh in frontal crash safer than the creta and seltos lol

      @@pallavraj1923 Is it safer than Creta and Seltos? How about Ignis against Maruti’s own Baleno and Swift?

    • @pallavraj1923
      @pallavraj1923 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In frontal offset crash yes the ignis has a better protection rating than the creta or the seltos…as for baleno and swift…it is safer than the swift sold in india but no information regarding the 2nd gen baleno is available as of now but the baleno seems to be better built on the outside and offers upto 6 airbags in some variants.

    I don't understand why Suzuki has priced it at US $18000 it's quite high, in India the same top trim costs US $10000 whereas the Mahindra XUV 700 is similarly priced as in India. Damn, that car is super expensive and not an SUV.
