    Suzuki know how to build a car; full stop and they have been for years including the highly successful yet underdog supermini the Swift Sport and now they have resurrected the Ignis, the concept of a city car with it's SUV pants on.
    My opinion it is one of the cutest looking small cars on the road showcasing it's practically elements with tiny dimensions making most city cars look silly along with it's SUV appearance.
    Now before you say I'm a Suzuki fan boy which in fact is true but before you rip my head off, listen to my verdict and go try one out for yourself! It won't disappoint I promise.

      Wow M'lena! From a big Land Rover Discovery to a small little Ignis, just shows you how much spacious the Suzuki really is 👍🏼 ... Glad you're not disappointed, congratulations; thanks for watching!

    I rented this car when I was on holiday and surprisingly it’s actually a good car to drive and it’s big inside.

      It's a shame people get caught up on brand status, as the majority of Suzuki's range is top notch and great value for money! 👍🏼 Thanks for watching!

    Just found your channel. Fantastic review. Pity I love Ignis but drive on motorway and B roads as well as city driving. Maybe check out swift?

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Roberto, glad you enjoyed the review! Like any small capacity engine they tend to struggle doing long motorway journeys although it’s not impossible. The same goes for B Roads but again the Ignis was never meant to be a B Road Rally car, so you can forgive it. You’re certainly right to suggest the Swift it offers a better platform with more engine choices including the Swift Sport 👍🏻 Once again, thanks for tuning on PocketRockets!

    I had one as a courtesy car a few months ago. Really nice, chuckable handling. Surprisingly comfortable as well. Suzuki do have the knack or workaday cars that are a bit quirky and different.

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bet it was the “fastest” Suzuki Ignis in the world 🤣 👍

      @@PocketRockets well, I drive a Vitara S so the performance was a bit underwhelming. But the thing is, whatever you drive just feels "meh" after a few weeks. You just get used to it & it becomes the norm. Sad, but true. Character and charm tend to last longer.

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an old Top Gear saying "Rental/courtesy cars are the fastest in the world" (even if they are tragically slow) 😂 ... Vitara S is a good car, same engine used in the Swift Sport (1.4 Boosterjet) but yes after a few weeks it does become the norm, I'm terrible when it comes to cars!

    Hi ,how do I turn off the eco mode in my car I’m a new ignis driver and I can’t see a button for it . Thank you !! Lovely video 😊

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No idea, can't recall them having an Eco driving mode, it's more a menu to monitor how you drive
      Just toggle through your menu using the steering wheel controls to change the menu you want to view

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching Stephen! The Ignis is cracking little car, Suzuki has done a good job creating its own niche market 👍 I would say All Grip is more useful if you live in more rural areas otherwise the 2WD is a better option; less weight too! All the best

    Thanks! ...informative video.
    Suzuki have really taken a lead in reducing weight, and this is the current jewel in their crown - so much lighter than the VAG offerings. Weight is the enemy in car design, at a time when a Vauxhall Corsa can weigh over a ton. What?
    Some reports suggest that the published acceleration figures for the Ignis are excessively modest. Our old Liana is quicker now than when it was new.
    And the Liana's handling/ride is very sensitive to tyres, could it be that the Ignis shares this? Only the Bridgestones work well for us.

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Saving weight should definitely be the highest priority for any car, so many benefits! Thanks for watching

  • @hasenpfefer7

    Would this car be recommended for long 3 hour highway trips considering the low hp?

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Probably not no, it can do those types of trips but you'll find it out of it's depth if you do it frequently.
      But if you haven't got the budget for anything else, it's not the end of the world; the Ignis can cope.
      Hope that helps/answers your question, thanks for watching!

    What do you think of this model car as a used example, is this worth it as a occasion?

    • @PocketRockets
      @PocketRockets  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As all I can say is Suzukis are known for their excellent reliability, so as long as you're buying a looked after example (full service history etc) it'll do the job of A to B absolutely fine
      Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

    So why suzuki doesn’t make this car with the same 1.0 turbo that comes on the Vitara? ...oh yeah because then when people come to buy the vitara would say, “oh wait a minute , would i buy an SUV with an engine of a city car? ..no way” this euro emission crap really destroyed fun little cars.

      Yes agree, the engine choice does affect motorway/longer distance driving a struggle
      But for the price, it's a great value for money!
