🎣 when I put line on my spools, I wind line around spool three times, then I tie my knot. Line on spool will not slip, simple! I have seen lots of spools where line was not tied on spool properly; same in some videos that had dodgy knots tied on spools. Those spool "knots" were the weakest link,! 🙂 🎣
I immediately laughed at myself cause of your first hack with the toilet paper roll . I spent a little time removing the old line from a rod today and seemed to take a bit of a while. So here I am watching this video and within a matter of minutes your spool was empty. And I subscribed because of this.
New subscriber here, great hacks man,I always use mono for my backing if I'm putting braid on,I usually get the line from what people don't throw away around fishing spots, sad people can't pick up after their self, anyways man awesome video
You don't need to worry about what direction braid comes off the reel. Braid doesn't have memory l. You only have to do that for mono or fluro. Also, if you boil your mono or fluro first for a few minutes. It prevents curls.
I live and die over 3M double sided tape. I put a short piece in the Spool, remove the backer, and spool the Reel. Line stays put.. Paint Pen. Numbers written on the Foot...
Good video and suggestions. One to add next time is they make a Zip tie with a hole in it to nail or screw down. This eliminates needing any split ring or other clip to it. I bought a pack of 20 from Walmart and they work perfectly. You can even cut a small slit in them so you dont have to unhook a Texas rigged bait. Subbin and Keep em comin!
Your tips are very useful. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
Great idea with the fishing reels and re-spooling lines
Thanks
The heat shrink worm repair is a great idea.
Thanks

Good hacks for fishing line. I really like the toilet paper tube jack. 😊
Thanks for watching!
That's funny the pole and real you're showing on Heck number 3 I had the exact same setup it looks like the pedigree rod and the kastking reel.
I believe you are correct.
I got to admit hack number 7 it was brilliant
Thank you for watching!

Same here, learned it from some salt water guys and I always back everything with mono!

If you wet your hands before handling your fish you will not remove the "slime" and will possibly save the fishes longgivity!
True. Thanks.
Yeah but you don't want your hand smelling like fish when you're done fishing so it would be better to wash it off.
Why not keep old empty fish line spools and reload them. Also keep old line for sacrificial terminal line.
Useful idea. Thanks

I will look for those. Thanks for the tip!
Why not tape the electrical tape to reel then you can change reels and same rod can be used with different reels.
Good thought. Thanks for watching.
why not just heatshrink the sinker and ther rig it
I’ve seen that as well. I did not have a large enough heat shrink to demo. Thanks for the tip!
