So far been a great system and a big jump in performance experience since my previous gaming setup was a 2nd hand xbox one and a plasma tv😂. The card itself maintains below 70.C at full load maxed everything, running in room temperature. Averages fps in warzone 144 - 170 fps @ 1080 with medium to high settings. I got an RX6600 when it came down to MSRP this Spring. I had a rig I had built last year, but left in the box until the GPU prices went down. I had an old 2 gig card in the rig so it would have something until then. I have no regrets with the RX6600. I had to bring the settings down for CP2077, since that game is so demanding. Other than that, games run smooth as butter at 1080p. I have a 60hz Samsung monitor, so I don't need my games to go much faster than that.

    • @WTFBOOMDOOM
      @WTFBOOMDOOM 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I suppose your monitor is from the late 2000s? You can "overclock" it and make it run at 75 Hz. You need to create a custom resolution and in Timing Standard choose "CVT-RT" (reduced blank). It makes sense for older games that perform consistently.

I purchased a decomissioned from mining Biostar rx570 8gb with a surprisingly better than average cooler for 1650 TWD (about 46 pounds or $55). 2 of the 5 ratings on that shopee listing said that they met issues, with one saying that the fans were making noise and the other saying that theirs was completely obsolete. I've been running stress tests in softwares and games and so far it's been running fine and at low temps. It seems like it was repasted before it was shipped and seems to have a custom rx470 vbios with a stable overclock.
Overall, it performs much better than my 2019 laptop in gpu intensive games and I am very satisfied (Although the older rasters really hinders performance with anti aliasing turned on. That really makes it lame compared to my laptop's 1650m).

I just upgraded from an RX 480 to an RX 6700 XT after having it for 5.5 years and waiting almost 2 years for a new GPU. Got it for ~520$ (~434 pounds) which was really cheap (this includes also like 19% tax, so the price was well below msrp) and I am really glad I bought it.

While I paid more than the price shown in the video for a new card at 300USD, the RX 6600 cost less than an RTX 2060 and RTX 3050 while performing better, so to me it was the obvious choice. The card is very quiet, stays below 65 degrees while gaming for 1-2 hours, and I felt like it was a worthwhile upgrade. I like CCL but they are not the cheapest for some components as overclockers, and scan sell GPUs too at competitive prices,

I know you say xbox like settings but in reality there are settings completely missing if you check the coding on the xbox and ps5 versions. Alot of the time even high texture resolution packs aren't there. So tbh the settings will almost always be better on pc bevause there are settings missing and many other settings set lower then what some may say. Awesome video my friend!

In elden ring or other souls games the fps effects the physics engine of the game, i don't know why they made it that way but they did. If you try to run the game at higher framerate higher than 60 fps there is a good chance the physics engine will bug out.

Manage to get 100fps high settings at 1080p running cyberpunk 2077 at high settings with FSR 2.0 Mod running. Other favs like Project Cars 2 and Dirt 2 can run 120hz happily on ultra settings. matched with a ryzen 5500 i picked up unopened on gumtree for $130. Its paired with 16gn ddr4 2800 c16-18-18 and running at an all core of 4.5ghz. All up I paid $1280 AUD ($860 USD) for a ryzen 5500, b550 mobo, 16gb ddr4, RX 6600, 1tb nvme, 4tb hdd, Decent case and 450w corsair PSU alongside an MSI 1080p 165hz optix curved monitor. I play it at 100+ fps with a cap of 144 which never really reaches at 1440p with no dips (also ultra widescreen enabled) pretty much how everyone should play and enjoy this game. Also there is an online mod to play with your friends if ur so inclined to do so.

About the FPS capped games you mentioned. Fallout New Vegas (and Skyrim, and Fallout 76) and every other game made on Bethesda's Creation Engine, will have issues because their physics are tied to the framerate. It's only that line of games made by that game engine. Any other game you try, will have no problems running uncapped. It will not be great on your GPU, but there should be no game glitches.

Boss man, a question about the Power Color Fighter 6700 xt. I got an Open Box deal from Newegg and as soon as I install the drivers, the screen flickered whenever I moved the mouse over any windows 10 programs and desktop. Like getting hit with a tree shadow and then sunlight while driving near closely planted greenery during the dying light of the day. Or like the rave lighting where the lights go on and off making it seem like you are seeing the world move in slow motion. It worked fine with no AMD drivers, but I really didn't wanna be stuck at 1024 x 720. I returned it for a refund. :( Did this hqppen to you? Or is it just an AMD to AMD product miscomunication?
I honestly don't know if turning off "hardware acceleration" would have done anything as per AMD's suggestions. But whenever I moused over the adrenalin driver in the taskbar, the adrenalin application crashed. All games eventually froze but they did load enough to freeze on initial loading of the game. Prior to the 6700 xt, I had the MSI 1070 TI. I had removed all Nvidia drivers and stuff bar the Phys X. I have the stock 5600x cpu, msi bazooka b550m, 32 gb of ram at xmp 3200 MHz. I updated bios, windows 10, and tried the last 2 Windows certified Adrealin consumer drivers. I even tried the Pro drivers, but my desktop started displaying disco strobing colors. The only things I didn't try was disabling hardware accel in windows and my programs, and changing my mobo's PCIe gen from auto check to gen3 or 4 (a forum thread said changing pcie to gen 3 fixed his 6700 xt flickering.).
Have you or anyone here had this happen before? I really want to have my working freesync and multimonitor setup back. Nvidia's implementation or multi monitor, multi input type is laggy AF. Dp as the main and hdmi as the secondary is a crapshoot. Freesync sometimes stops working even though Nvidia said g-sync capable cards could also use freesync monitors.

Never heard of that GPU, but that GPU is pretty good for that price, maybe exceeded my expectations due to some of the GPUs in my country still being overpriced. Never a fan of the "4k gaming," etc, for me, 1080p is enough, and CCL did a great job, I thought it was gonna be a "Computer Components Company" who just gonna rip you off, but no, they're a legit company. Although it's not sponsored you made a hell of an ad for CCL. ;o) [Don't know them here in Germany.]
RX 6600 seems to be a really valid option, not only for 1080p but also for 1440p high preset 60 fps gaming as hardware unboxed tested it with 74 fps in avg. in 1440p. With that it's *much nearer to RTX 3060 than to RTX 3050* and when no RT required a really solid choice for 60 fps single player gaming.
It's interesting that you test used cards so "early" after the ending of the graphics card shortage. +RandomGaminginHD
Because I think the used market is only beginning to fill up...
Are you going to snipe another RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 3070/ Ti or even 3080 right before RTX 4070/ 4080 are released?
I do wonder if the older 2080 Ti should be the better buy before 3070 because of the VRAM?! I simply dont know if you can max out 8 Gigs in lets say Cyberpunk in 4K or 1440p with mods.

I bought this gpu for Rs.28000 in India (298 Pound sterling/350 Euros) 5 days ago from a reputable Retailer store
it took me one whole week to decide whether or not go for this gigabyte model or get a RTX 3050 with no VR support from nvidia for some reason and priced similar
6600 performance is close or similar to 3060 and 2060 Super in some benchmarks and most times beats 3050
it slower than 3050 in ray tracing that's the only cons
only time will tell if I made a good choice since more price dips are expected in coming months.
