  • I had some scrap sucker rod laying in a pile so I thought I would make something cool. I always wanted a heavy hammer to use as a piece of workout equipment and thought Thor's hammer would be a cool object to replicate. This is my first video to do such a crazy build that took over two months. The amount of grinding/sanding would make your head spin!
The hammer turned out great and I enjoy using it to complete single arm shoulder presses, 'hammer' curls (pun Intended), and hammer holds.
The porosity is pretty bad in my welds because the shielding gas was not flowing correctly. Comment below if you want to see me fix the porosity in another video.
Final Thor's Hammer Weight = 23.6KG or about 52 Pounds!

Student: How were the pyramids built?
Professor: We aren't positive, but it seems there was this guy with a 4.5" angle grinder....

I suppose forging would have been a bit too much.
Will you use this hammer to make the next one?
    🤤

That’s a great idea! I don’t have a forge setup yet, but would like to in the future. When I do that will have to be my first project!

Can we see a hammer test? Sample workout?

I plan to do a video in the future that explains the build AND shows how I use this hammer in my work outs.
