Great job! I would recommend when you make those mounting holes for your welding table maybe to space them a standard width of other welding tables that have three-quarter inch or 5/8 inch holes that are spaced I think about 2 inches on center.
Depends how the weld joint is set up. If welding will deform the plates down on the dynamic jaw, then it doesn’t matter if you can burn the paper away - it will still be essentially an interference fit.
I think I may leave it bolted. It feels super solid. I don’t love it on my table though. I’m thinking I am going to make a stand for it. What are you thinking for a swivel?
Hi Moose Works ~ My computer is a bit long in the tooth, so I can't get very good resolution, which makes resolving the text, for example, nearly impossible. Is there another way to get your drawings? In PDF form, perhaps? I'd be happy to pay you for them.

In hindsight I definitely should have done that! I would like to add a hole pattern now, but those holes will need to be fixed👍 Great idea!

I am about to build one very similar, and was thinking that paper as a shim, would be very stiff, yet will burn out during full welding......

@@mooseworks I think a great design would be a magnetic base for the swivel part or even just a magnetic base for quick mounting on steel tables
