I used to own a CU2 before my G8. I did a K&N intake, catless downpipe, 2.5” catback, and a remote tune. Never got it dyno’d but I assume it was probably 205/210whp lol. Having 220whp in that car with a 6 speed manual would have been a blast, I would def love to see what improvement it will have with upgraded cams
@@DUCE20Kit’s a manual. I own a 2011 accord euro cu2 luxury with a modified 6 speed manual LSD. These k-24z3 engines don’t have vtec on the exhaust only the intake cam. I’m getting drag cartel cams for my engine and doing a heap of external mods soon.
@@sickofthebullshit1967 What LSD did you fit and what parts were needed? I saw some old forum posts from YEARS ago about fitting the 9th gen Si LSD but it also needed a different final drive gear and a few other pieces
@@SBBUK A 9th gen Si trans will bolt right in, cheaper than getting a LSD installed. Only difference between the two is the Si 5th and 6th are a wee bit longer. All the mounts line up and bolt on

I'd be interested to see how the torque curve here compares to my CU2. I have a similar setup with 3.5in intake pulling from fender area, J35A8 TB, RDX 410s, the skunk2 downpipe but to the stock catback, and retaining the stock manifold with some porting and polishing to the aluminum injector base. It's good to see the 2nd Gen TSX get some love.
Stock r40 manifold def feels strongest down low imo, I have an rsp intake manifold on my 2g and it feels good but not as strong down low but the midrange and top end is night and day and make up for it. I ported a stock injector base and tb for My Brothers 2g tsx, we installed them along with a modded stock intake box. Even Untuned power kicks in down low and strong but then falls on it's face. It def gets moving but runs out of steam fast. R40 intake manifold is def designed for low and midrange power

Why does the k24z3 in the tsx have flat torque from vtec engagement untill 6000 rpms but all the k24z7s have the spike and then drop of torque once vtec is engaged than another spike?

I just used a dremel tool and smoothed everything down until the casting marks were gone. Should be smooth to the touch when done.

Its wierd because vtec is only on the intake side of the z3
