SNES had such an amazing launch year - Super Mario Word, F-Zero, Pilotwings, Super Castlevania IV, SimCity, Final Fantasy II, Actraiser, Final Fight, Gradius III, Super R-Type, U.N. While maybe not Rubberband -- the yellow car in RC Pro Am for the NES is a notorious cheater, as for several races he'll just start going 3x as fast as you and there's practically nothing you can do about it.
Oh my god you are right. I don't know if its worse than FZero but it has to be at least a tie... I remember that. It would make that "WooooOOOOP" sound then just literally take off at mach speed faster than your car could ever reach. The only way to not lose was to make it spin out/crash LOL!
cipherrrr I recently played F -zero again on my Snes classic and the AI is bullshit. A big complaint for me is that they give u a mini map of the course and show ur position on it but dont have other blips showing the other racers. How stupid is that.
Seth Warrior ahaha, right, F-Zero X for the N64 and GX for the Gamecube are the real massacre, and speaking about characters, Nintendo tried really hard developing them, and most of them are really well done and polished on both version, but they're also huge assholes when you have to race them, and that kinda makes you satisfied and pleased, when you have to demolish them in that alternate version of King of the Hill, that's more like "Destroy every other vehicle in the race"! ... that was an addicting hell of a game...good memories.
oohh, Beastman, i was using him too when i was a kid, but my favourites were Bio Rex, Captain Falcon,The Skull and Mighty Gazelle, because of their awesome shaped vehicle. Fun Fact: I don't know if Nintendo planned on doing this, but when i was playing both games X & GX, Pico and Goroh were always last place and second last place, almost... EVERYTIME, ahahah, poor bastards!
Oh, man. F-Zero. Freaking FANTASTIC game; I actually played more of this at launch back in 1991 than I did Super Mario World. (I know that's almost like blasphemy, but it's true) My friends and I would take turns on each track, shooting for the best track and lap times. Aside from that, there'd be a lot of conversation, much like James & Mike were doing here... although the subject matter was about women and music, as well as other video games-- such as what we were playing at home, if we'd beaten any games that week, etc. F-Zero was such a great community game... and, yeah, there was some trash talk that went on, as well. F-Zero was one of the games that I recorded the music from by running the A/V cables through my stereo and then taping music via cassette. F-Zero, Final Fantasy II, Castlevania IV, Batman Returns, and Wing Commander soundtracks would get play in my car... even with the windows rolled down during nice days. It was pretty awesome being able to bring SNES tunes with me on the go. F-Zero X is probably my favorite game in the series, with this game being a very close second. I'm one of the few who isn't really much of a fan of F-Zero GX; the difficulty spikes make the game far less enjoyable for me than the older games, and I'm not really a fan of the new music styles. F-Zero GX looks great, though... that's the game's best asset. Another great episode, guys; thanks for bringing some great memories to the fore for me. Thanks for making Mondays suck just a little bit less.
nice comment! I wish I was there with you my nigga. unfortunately my friends were not as big into games as I was ... yes the music is what does it for this game. the music is so fucking boss.
Peter Skerritt you're right Fzero X was the best of all,the sound track was fucking badass,i play the shit out of it when it come out....Fzero GX lost the fzero spirit,it became more like another wipeout-like to me,maybe because it was made by sega
James mentioned Super Metroid. That is probably the best action/platformer ever made. That game is near perfection for what it is. It has just the right combination of platforming, action, exploration, and progression and power-ups.
It's not my favorite game of all time (it's in my group of all time greats though) but the one thing I can't do with Super Metroid is find a legitimate flaw with it. There just isn't anything wrong with it at all, which is a fucking rare thing to find with even the most well made games.
linkno1 You can pull off some extreme moves with the walljumping. It just takes precision. I used to use it a lot to get certain powerups long before you are supposed to be able to. The Power Bomb, in particular, is one that you can get extremely early in the game if you are REALLY good at walljumping.
My favorite part of this series, is just seeing good friends game. I'm 36, and I swear, when I get together with old friends and do some gaming... It's just like these guys... Everyone has the game they love, but everyone plays... It's a lot of fun... It's why I watch James and Mike Mondays... I really enjoy their friendship... Also, for me, the greatest racing games of all time are Gran Turismo 2-3-4....
Fzero is truly one of the best gaming franchises, but its so underated. Each game in the series only improves on the last. Plus it gave us one of the funniest game characters, captain falcon. FALCON PUNCH! It combines high speed, kick ass music, and challenging gameplay. Pleeeease make another fzero game nintendo!
Expert isn't even the hardest difficulty in the game. If you beat all three leagues in the game on Expert you unlock Master difficulty, which makes Expert seems super easy. It also gives you a bonus ending cutscene.
***** No, but they present Expert mode as though it's the hardest difficulty when it's not. But as you mentioned, James is absolutely horrendous at games while Mike is pretty good. James mentioned recently that he couldn't even make it into the police station in Resident Evil 2, now that's a truly awful player right there lol.
I remember playing this game once at a friend's house back in '92 and we used to have fun on practice mode and go in reverse and hit the rival car head on, demonstrating Sir Isaac Newton's third law of motion. We both laughed so hard at that every time.
I love how James completely avoids competing fairly after zero gets destroyed on knight by Mike. Total gamer mentality and I love it. Keep doing you. Gamers are awesome.
When I was much younger I found this green silicon chip on the ground. I read it close it said something battery in fine print on it. When I took and placed it near some SNES games I realized... it was actually an SNES game without the gray enclosure on it. I tried to put in in my SNES and turned it on... and BAM it was F-ZERO working and all lol
I thought the best stage was the "Silence Stage", it also had the best music of the game on 7:48. Very relexing ending music as well...I used to hate the windy stages, overall it was a great game and I bought it together with my SNES Mario Allstars Pack !
11:58 The jump effect and angling is needed on the 2nd white snow stage.. the last jump if you dont do anything youll never make it unless you hold down to make a far angle jump..
This game is one of my all-time favorites. If you didn't grow up in the 8-bit era, it's hard to understand just how revolutionary this game was. Look at 8-bit racing games like Pole Position, Outrun, Pitstop II, Rad Racer, etc. They just drew a generic road on the screen, and it bent to the left or right in varying amounts and the car was slung to the outside of the turn with varying amounts of force. Even a hairpin turn where the road comes right back beside itself - you didn't see that coming up - the turn just bent really quickly, and then straightened up really quickly. In F-Zero, you can see the roadway coming back towards you after the turn, and see the cars driving along it towards you as well. That was what really impressed me about this game at the time. Of course the awesome music and different handling of the four cars were awesome too. ;)
Alright! F-Zero will always be remembered for me as one of the first SNES games I've played. Come on, great soundtrack (Mute City, Big Blue and Red Canyon are my top faves), intense driving and beautiful Mode 7 just made this one of the best. Fun fact: I've actually beaten the entire game in all leagues and difficulty settings in one run when I was 9. Sure I lost some lives occasionally but made it through. True story. 😃 Great video guys! Any chance on playing a Sega Saturn game some time soon?
Its always fun to live vicariously thru J&M mondays or my personal favorite AVGN. So many games on various system I was never able to play or experience but thanks to TH-cam here we are.
Cinemassacre And they make a new Mario Kart every damn 2 -3 years, I mean don't get me wrong, I like Mario Kart, but why not a new F-Zero? This game is fucking great!
We used to play this with the music off and blaring songs like Filter's "Nice Shot" or Smashing Pumpkins' "Cherub Rock" on the stereo. Good times. For that weird mix of zen and intensity, Wipeout XL and Gran Tourismo II on PS1 are right up there with F-Zero. All good racing games.
Regarding the tracks White Land & White Land 2, do you guys think that they didn't mean for them to come one after another and there was an admin/program error for the track listings and White Land 2 was supposed to be in the King League and one track from the King League was supposed to be in Queen League, but got messed up??
12 years. It's been 12 fucking years since the last F-Zero game, F-Zero GX, which is also the best racing game ever made, came out. Nintendo are so blatantly out of touch with their fanbases nowdays. Their games are still pretty much the most polished games out there but seriously, they seem so oblivious of what their fans want.
Holy shit dude you're right. When are we gonna get another F-Zero game? It's been a while since I've been a Nintendo gamer but I'll be damned if another F-zero wouldn't make me consider buying a Nintendo console. I had F-zero X for the 64... man that was badass
Whilst I agree with you, I won't say that the lack of F-Zero makes them out of touch. It's kind of a 'tier 2' priority title with Metroid and Starfox and out of the three, it's the only one that hasn't received a sequel in the last 5 years. Remember when the N64 and GBC were the relevant consoles of the generation? Remember how many Metroid games we got across both platforms? None. Samus' appearance in Smash was literally all we got. I don't remember anybody calling Nintendo 'out of touch' then...
What would you do if every F-Zero game sells worse than the previous one? There is a reason Iwata was surprised that people want a new F-Zero since they sell so bad. Fans demand a lot but they don't put their wallets where their mouthes are often enough.
BrutalOffence Earthbound/Mother is a narrative driven game. Maybe Nintendo don't think it needs another sequel and that those 3 games should be it. I dunno, I just don't think it's a bad thing if a developer doesn't go overboard with sequels. It would be nice if a really good game could stop at a low amount of sequels (or even just 1 game) for once rather than running it into the ground...
I fucking LOVE that you guys are thinking about doing Metroid games! Hoever, may I make a suggestion? How about James and Mike Mondays through Fridays? I can't stop watching you guys and all the videos from Cinemassacre!!!! Being right around the same age as you guys, I feel like I am right there on the couch reliving my childhood!
to answer the guy on the left at around 11:55, pulling back keeps your speed maxed. If you don't your speed drops and you can use as many as 2-4 seconds per lap. As for the speed runs, the red cars is the ONLY car that is used in the snes Fzero because of its superior top speed.
FINALLY, someone other than me who understands Max Velocity and learned that you have to tap A to corner properly! I think Nintendo stabbed themselves in the foot by adding that mechanic in because it wasn't intuitive to the player that you had to do that to play the game. Max velocity took everything wrong with the Snes F-Zero and perfected it, and all because of the "blast turns" thing, it's criminally underrated. Shame, its an amazing game. My favorite however, is the King of Arcade racers imo, GX. And I really love X as well, a phenomenal franchise that Nintendo will never bring back...
F-Zero is one of my all-time favorite video games. I can't count how many days after school I would spend playing. I also used the red car exclusively. I practiced enough to where I could always get a good launch off of the line then swerve right to have Captain Falcon rear-end me and give me a nice boost.
If memory serves, the instruction manual went into depth on what the in-game universe technology is. The cars are hovercrafts and fly about as fast speeds above the planet. The barriers on the side of the track are actually very strong magnets that pull the car into the ground sharply to prevent it from flying off the track. For Silence: The name of silence comes from what the shape of the mini-map does to people (in game universe explains the planet simply has no medium for sound to travel)
Hey guys! I have been watching pretty much every episode of everything you have done, and really appreciate everything. I consider you guys pretty good gamers after what i've seen. Bootsy seems to be a gaming god beating games hard as shit and Mike beat Tyson, but now it turns out that James have been showing off on some titles (Batman NES, Ghosts n Goblins SNES, Shadows of the empire). So to the question: How do you two guys think you match each other i terms of game playing skill? And have you tried competing in a game or excelled compared to others in a computer game or console tournament? Keep up the good work! Cheers
The F-Zero that came out w/the N64 was absolutely phenomenal & a perfect addition to the F-Zero franchise. Other than the OG on Super Nintendo (the game they're playing ^), the 64-sequel is my favorite "racing" video game. Star Wars: Episode 1- Podracer rounds out my top 3 in general.
Cinemassacre The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure for Nintendo Gamecube, even though it requires Gameboy Advance and those adapters to connect the Gameboy Advance to the Gamecube. c:
The instruction manual explains that the guard rail-type things are actually anti-gravity devices that suspend the track at some height (I forget how high - I think a few hundred feet) above the ground, hence the fall and subsequent explosion should you happen to hit a jump and land off of the track.
Hey mike, I'd just like to know what makes the Atari 2600 your favourite console of all time? I mean I'm 31 and I even consider it a bit to old and dated.
I also always played with the pink car as a kid. Sometimes I'd lend the game to a friend and have to clear the records when I got it back because I hated having other cars on the leaderboard.
The music of this game kept me playing for hours. Developers now a day try to over think all the aspects. Sometimes they need to remember KISS. Keep it Simple Stupid.
F-Zero GX was the best racing game I've ever played. I really would love to see a sequel to this series. It was so hard that I sometimes wanted to break my TV though!
Usually I find that you can actually get a smoother and faster start if you are keeping the engine sound at a lower pitch, and THEN gunning it. Instead of just bursting forward and then instantly losing 90 percent of your speed right off the bat, you actually get a firm kick off the line that doesn't slow your cruiser down instantly after starting. It takes practice but it's helpful.
If you haven't gotten the memo by now then leave. If you haven't noticed they tend to play games that predate anything before 2000 for James and mike Mondays.
You area bit dense arent you? Of course they will play a few new games. But you arent noticing the trend of these new games are you? They tend to revolve around nintendo... And even then they play the new games they usually end up talking about older games anyways. Out of many james and mike videos how many are really considered new games that arent nintendo? Go find out
"On master it sucks" lol well perhaps I'm the greater master here haha, just kidding no disrespect. It's no problem for me, I love the relentless challenge, except I will admit the Giant Hand course is reallllyyy tough. I think that's the one course I've never won during a Master GP. GX imo is the best in the franchise but by a small margin because they're both soo amazing. GX's Chapters 1, 3, 5, and 8 very hard are among my favorite things to do in gaming all together.
F-Zero is one of my most favorite games of all time. I was hoping for an F-Zero game for the Wii, but let's hope that at least we have an F-Zero title on the WiiU. Last F-Zero game was F-Zero Climax for the GBA which was never released in the USA.
The reason the races take place so high up in the stratosphere is for less air resistance. Also, I liked the lore / flavor text the manual had for each track. IIRC the planet Silence takes place on was a popular honeymoon spot for vacationing newlyweds.
Red (pink) car has the slowest acceleration, but it has the highest top speed, and unless you crash a lot, you'll be going at top speed most of the time. The yellow one has the fastest acceleration but lowest top speed, and I seem to remember it having slightly more acute handling as well. The blue one is like a balance of everything. This game is probably my absolute favourite SNES racing game.
I have so many find memories of this game, but I remember my mind being blown after you finish a race because the camera circles around your car and you can tell that it's not just a static back-view only model. Mario Kart did that later. Also, I never played as Red Stingray even though he has the highest top speed. He's the bad guy. Always Cpt. Falcon. NEVER Golden Fox. Total crap. Great video, guys!
You guys said something about not playing with donkey kong in Mario kart. The reasoning you have for him being fastest on a long stretch of road is exactly what the pink car on f-zero is/does. It has the slowest acceleration but the highest speed. I am totally with u guys and always picked this car. Loved this video!!!
You both mentioned playing a racing game with guns on your cars. One of my favorite racing games was Extreme-G for the N64. It had futuristic motorcycles, not cars, that had mounted weapons and you could pick up other weapons on the track Mario-Kart style, but it was every bit as fun and intense as F-Zero.
When I played this as a kid, I never thought the tracks were high up in the air with cities and roads beneath. To me it looked like the track was surrounded by some kind of circuit board.
True, but very bada$$ circuit board.
Same. The fact that the “city” goes past the same speed as the track is why. If they wanted it to look like a city below, you shouldn’t be passing it so quickly.

I seriously wish Nintendo would just take a break from giving us Mario Kart, and just fucking bring back F-Zero.
Mario Kart's theme is just better imo. I don't think F-zero is necessarily that much harder Though, but Mario Kart is definitely more random.

"Fast RMX" from 2017 on the Nintendo Switch is very similar to the "F-Zero" games in lots of ways, so there is that at least.

Seth Warrior ahaha, right, F-Zero X for the N64 and GX for the Gamecube are the real massacre, and speaking about characters, Nintendo tried really hard developing them, and most of them are really well done and polished on both version, but they're also huge assholes when you have to race them, and that kinda makes you satisfied and pleased, when you have to demolish them in that alternate version of King of the Hill, that's more like "Destroy every other vehicle in the race"! ... that was an addicting hell of a game...good memories.
i know wright , i love to use the Hyper Speeder , thats my favorite machine (and pilot)
oohh, Beastman, i was using him too when i was a kid, but my favourites were Bio Rex, Captain Falcon,The Skull and Mighty Gazelle, because of their awesome shaped vehicle.
Fun Fact: I don't know if Nintendo planned on doing this, but when i was playing both games X & GX, Pico and Goroh were always last place and second last place, almost... EVERYTIME, ahahah, poor bastards!
Nintendo please make a new F-Zero game ;_;
Oh, man. F-Zero. Freaking FANTASTIC game; I actually played more of this at launch back in 1991 than I did Super Mario World. (I know that's almost like blasphemy, but it's true)
My friends and I would take turns on each track, shooting for the best track and lap times.
Thanks for making Mondays suck just a little bit less.
very beautiful
Do you know about the price
nice comment! I wish I was there with you my nigga. unfortunately my friends were not as big into games as I was ... yes the music is what does it for this game. the music is so fucking boss.
Peter Skerritt
you're right Fzero X was the best of all,the sound track was fucking badass,i play the shit out of it when it come out....Fzero GX lost the fzero spirit,it became more like another wipeout-like to me,maybe because it was made by sega
That's Pink, not Red!
Who's with me? I'M not the crazy one, right?...right?...........RIGHT?!!?!?
Mike is likely just color blind, and likely James too as he concurs?
three years later its still pink, definitely.
It's Lightish red!
Ask a girl....they can differentiate colors much better than boys.
@@MabuseXX no girls here.
James mentioned Super Metroid. That is probably the best action/platformer ever made. That game is near perfection for what it is. It has just the right combination of platforming, action, exploration, and progression and power-ups.
Agreed 100%. One of the few games I have 0 qualms replaying over and over again.
It's not my favorite game of all time (it's in my group of all time greats though) but the one thing I can't do with Super Metroid is find a legitimate flaw with it. There just isn't anything wrong with it at all, which is a fucking rare thing to find with even the most well made games.
Ash Boomstick
When the game came out, it had a very tight control scheme. Your problem with the controls are probably just that they are dated.
linkno1
You can pull off some extreme moves with the walljumping. It just takes precision. I used to use it a lot to get certain powerups long before you are supposed to be able to. The Power Bomb, in particular, is one that you can get extremely early in the game if you are REALLY good at walljumping.
imo Metroid Prime is better
My favorite part of this series, is just seeing good friends game. I'm 36, and I swear, when I get together with old friends and do some gaming... It's just like these guys... Everyone has the game they love, but everyone plays... It's a lot of fun... It's why I watch James and Mike Mondays... I really enjoy their friendship...
Also, for me, the greatest racing games of all time are Gran Turismo 2-3-4....
My eyes let in more light when I saw the Title to this video.
These are great! I find myself watching them around 4:30am PST every Monday now. It helps put me in a good mood at the beginning of my work week.
It's now been over 10 years since GX came out. I would love dearly to see another addition to the franchise.
Over 20 years now
@@townsjim I continue to wait.
Expert isn't even the hardest difficulty in the game. If you beat all three leagues in the game on Expert you unlock Master difficulty, which makes Expert seems super easy. It also gives you a bonus ending cutscene.
+what? Yeah but look at them play, especially James. You dont honestly think they would ever get to see that would you?
***** No, but they present Expert mode as though it's the hardest difficulty when it's not. But as you mentioned, James is absolutely horrendous at games while Mike is pretty good. James mentioned recently that he couldn't even make it into the police station in Resident Evil 2, now that's a truly awful player right there lol.
+what? Look he beat Street Fighter 2010 all on his own, give him SOME credit.
WrongButtonGames Unless that was Mike beating the game for him
what?
Mike confirmed that it was James in a Q&A.
Tbh I miss content like this. Would be nice having Mike back on the channel.
Same, it's not the same since he left.
Better watch it guys, Nintendo might strike ya... =(
Five years later, Nintendo still didn't.
I gotta say, playing this on the New 3DS has me hooked, especially with how perfectly sharp the game looks in perfect pixel mode
the n64 version was amazing too, the random track generator was a great leveller for multiplayer, as there was no advantage from learning the tracks.
I would enjoy watching the Metroid games. Especially Super Metroid.
I'd even settle for return of samus, but it sounds like a few metroid games are in the pipeline.
No, you didnt. r/quityourbullshit
F zero basically means zero friction which is why they hover they don’t touch anything therefore there’s no friction to slow down the vehicle
I love metroid, one of my favorites is metroid zero mission for gameboy advanced.
True story. 😃
Great video guys! Any chance on playing a Sega Saturn game some time soon?
The Rebel of Gaming Cool
Which vehicle did you always choose?
Ernesto87 mostly Blue Falcon but sometimes Golden Fox
+The Rebel of Gaming I always choose the blue falcon
Its always fun to live vicariously thru J&M mondays or my personal favorite AVGN. So many games on various system I was never able to play or experience but thanks to TH-cam here we are.
Hey James review Spirit of Speed 1937 it's the last LJN game made in 2000 for Dreamcast
You better fuckin do it too!
"He will."
- Me from the future
So glad you guys are playing this. Takes me right back to my childhood. One of my all time favourites.
This game was awesome.
Was? It still is!!
-Mike
Cinemassacre WORD.
Cinemassacre And they make a new Mario Kart every damn 2 -3 years, I mean don't get me wrong, I like Mario Kart, but why not a new F-Zero? This game is fucking great!
Cinemassacre Tru dat James, luv u dude
F-Zero GP Legend came out one year after GX. It's also an amazing game, and the best non-3D F-Zero by a longshot.
James, Mike, please review NiGHTS into Dreams... on Sega Saturn. Thanks and keep the show on the road. Kind regards from Spain :)
to answer the guy on the left at around 11:55, pulling back keeps your speed maxed. If you don't your speed drops and you can use as many as 2-4 seconds per lap.
As for the speed runs, the red cars is the ONLY car that is used in the snes Fzero because of its superior top speed.
Silence looks like a revolver
Mike and James get stoned and play games Monday is what they should call it.
I'm gonna come out and say it. Nintendo is never going to bring F-Zero back.
***** Yep
"everyones just ramming me" lmfao
Mario Kart is the sequel to F-Zero.
Which sucks because it’s the best racing game.
I like playing this game when I was a kid
I've just got this game and I'm finding beginner mode quite difficult! Haha.
If you like it you should try F-zero Gp legend, it's really fun
Also check out F-Zero X for the Nintendo 64!
F-Zero X for the N64 is golden, that game does an even better job than F-Zero in making you feel like you drive extremely fast.
+Laurelindo whats your opinion on GX?
Lmfao at that seinfeld imitation
Cheers
Also you should consider Pocky & Rocky for James and Mike mondays. Hard as a fossilized turd when I last tried it, but beat it as a kid =)
When are you guys playing a Legend of Zelda game?
I definitely plan for us to do a Zelda episode for J&MM sometime this year. I don't know which game yet, but we'll get to it. - Mike
Cinemassacre THE CDI games...hey are masterpieces.
Cinemassacre
zelda 2
A link to the past! Play the whole game through. That would be really rad.
This is only correct for those living in Eastern Time.
I go by eastern time because that's where I live. - Mike
Cinemassacre thank u mike
I'm on eastern time, and this was released on the 22nd. I'm going to sue.
And a vast majority of the rest of the world.
Cinemassacre How about you go by greenwich?
7:48 Is my favorite moment.
Damn straight I have!
Lol
F-Zero GX was the best racing game I've ever played. I really would love to see a sequel to this series. It was so hard that I sometimes wanted to break my TV though!
Play Super Punchout for SNES!!!
So...Nintendo thinks people don't want another one?
F-Zero X is one of my favourite games of all times. I never was able to get into F-Zero on SNES though.
Hes like Stan Lee....you mean Jack Kirby.......
the war continues
"Cars bumping you all over the place."
You're going 300+ km/h. Those bumps would completely destroy any other car beyond repair.
These have shielding.
When are you guys going to show off some VR (Oculus Rift) stuff? That would be very cool as it's a very cool device. Think about it! :)
It's HIGHLY unlikely, they review the awesome and terrible old school games. Which is why i love them.
If you haven't gotten the memo by now then leave. If you haven't noticed they tend to play games that predate anything before 2000 for James and mike Mondays.
***** because its NES REMIX, games that are still from before 2000, but with a twist.
Go find out
I can't remember, was force unleashed a review by mike only?
Beautiful MODE 7! Notable mention to the music too. This game was definitely ahead of its time.
jesus christ Mike is so focused on the screen
These guys do the best Let's Play videos on TH-cam IMO
on f zero on the n64 i beat all of the levels on master
I have as well and beat one just for fun from time to time. I think Joker and King are my favorite cups.
Those were fun circuits, but on master it sucks. F Zero X in my opinion was the best in the franchise.
We can all agree upon that the X cup was the easiest.
Giant hand was easy if you knock everyone off, and if you practiced it so you dont fall off.
F-Zero is one of my most favorite games of all time. I was hoping for an F-Zero game for the Wii, but let's hope that at least we have an F-Zero title on the WiiU. Last F-Zero game was F-Zero Climax for the GBA which was never released in the USA.
L and R? Speed boost? What the???
I really enjoy coming back and watching this one.
Gotta get me a super nintendo again. Screw emulator's
Starman Deluxe,
Nope, Real hardware or nothing!
Zsnes works great though
The Jar, and "Hey look what can I do" reference is so true... Happens
When you beat "expert" you unlock the "master" difficulty. That's when the nightmare beginns. That game was so much fun back in the days.
Love F-Zero! I always used Captain Falcon because he was the most balanced of all the racers. This is still the best game in the series.
I feel you, Mike. Those other cars are a pain in the ass. I sometimes call them "drunk drivers" and "Sunday drivers."
The reason the races take place so high up in the stratosphere is for less air resistance. Also, I liked the lore / flavor text the manual had for each track. IIRC the planet Silence takes place on was a popular honeymoon spot for vacationing newlyweds.
wow its been over 15 years since ive seen or played this game...my god this takes me back.
Wish you would bring this series back. So many fun moments
Loved the Slowpoke Rodriguez reference. Nostalgia x2!
F-Zero X and Star Fox 64 were my favorite N64 games.
It just looks like a gray minus sign...
Schnookums ok
Schnookums done and done
I still can't see it! D:
Can you post it privately with just me so that I can see it?
I'M SORRY BUT IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY D:
Schnookums its ok
Red (pink) car has the slowest acceleration, but it has the highest top speed, and unless you crash a lot, you'll be going at top speed most of the time. The yellow one has the fastest acceleration but lowest top speed, and I seem to remember it having slightly more acute handling as well. The blue one is like a balance of everything. This game is probably my absolute favourite SNES racing game.
the word you were looking for at around the 1:20 mark is "mesmerizing".
Mike's a Beast in this Game! It's no Doubt that F-Zero is the most Underrated Racing Game series Period.
Thanks for the long J&M Mondays videos, guys
