As someone who has no plans to be a reseller but has always had an interest in entrepreneurship in general, I love your vlogs. I always like seeing what you and Tom get up to, and the yummy food you eat haha
You need to draw out the floor plan for the new warehouse to be able to visualize where everything goes. Divide it up for easy access. Shipping up front for easy loading. Easy access to receive new inventory up front. Photo Booth and shipping in middle of warehouse back to back that way they are close but separate and not using each other’s space and tables. Computer desk in front of both. In a T configuration. Photo side facing new inventory area. Shipping facing storage area for mailers, boxes & bags put these items on a large cart with wheels. Add hooks or straps to put fold up extra tables & carts on sides. That way it can be moved around warehouse where items are needed.
You are such a hard worker Mel. I Hang for your Vlogs all the time. You and Tom are going to corner the market. You can tell He looks after you and your future. Just love you guys xo
I love your vlogs. You and Tom are so cute together. Because of you I have started branching out my eBay reselling business into books. I was able to pick up a huge collection of 1980s Star Trek books for cheap from a charity shop and I talked them into a great deal because I took them all. They sold FAST in bundles of 15. I’d never have even tried bundles if not for watching you. Thank you for what you do!
Mel - a hearty congratulations! I have been a subscriber for a long time. To see where you are now vs when you had your world turned upside down is so encouraging! You should be so proud of yourself girl! And… you are happy and joyful with Tom. Your business is booming and you are a warrior! So happy for you! 👍👏🙌🥳
Mel due to the fact that you know, your brain can get a bit overwhelmed. Looking at the gravity of projects and that bundling is kind of the best way for most of your books to sell when you get to your new warehouse. A suggestion is when you're sorting books to make designated areas with shelves to sort your books by categories first with a large table near each category so you can easily bundle from the shelf then once you empty all ur sheles you pull books again to fill ur selves again. Also, think about as I'm not sure if ur current shelves are like this but also having ur inventory shelves set up by category and then media type all DVD's in a specific category on one shelf, all single books on another, all magazines on its own shelf and all bundles on it own for each genre or categoy will make how you source, pull and bundle easier as you can see what you need quickly visually what's moving out like hot cakes and what's slow moving categories, adding new shelves only for categories that you need anyway just a suggestion Hopefully make the whole process less stressful for your brain and more of an enjoyable new venture, anyway good luck when you move and I'm looking forward to seeing the final set up. 👍
even though its a lot, its nice to buy in large bulks, that way you spend less time searching for inventory and more time listing and making that money. congrats!!!
The operation that you guys have got going on here is so massive it's hardly believable. Massive kudos to you both. And best of luck with the new haul! If it's anything similar to like 100k books for $10k, then yeah, you've scored insanely, especially when you consider you could probably take that 10 cents per book and turn it into closer to $10 per book median price. That's literally 100x your initial investment. Well done Thom & Mel!! 🔥
It’s all Thom! His operation is massive, I’m still small at 6k listings. Im still in awe at everything he sets out to achieve to keep growing. I’m lucky to be able to watch on at how it’s all done and now having the extra space to allow me to try hauls like this is a blessing and that’s all come from Thom embracing and believing in me x
4:55 you might of mis priced that series lovely .. im a big bookworm and Sarah J mass fan and those original covers are now discontinued and highly looked for and sell for way more than what you listed and especially in that condition .. book 1 in the series sells for £80 alone in used condtion just a heads up
I might have! They sold very fast and because they had been on the shelf dormat so long I wanted them gone. I did price them though but maybe I undersold those ones. Oh well, it doesn’t matter, my bank account is still higher then it was after i sold them :)

Question: At minute mark 3 in the video Tom can be seen working near his 3 disc resurfacing machines, but a minute later you pan the camera past a row of larger machines. What are those? Label Printers? I didn’t recognize them, but they looked interesting. Looking forward to seeing your shift into the bigger warehouse, with more room to work.
They are also CD cleaning machines. They clean up to 50 discs at a time instead of individually and can get deeper scratches out. Makes packing orders much faster for him to have lots of discs being cleaned at once! Same brand, just the bigger version! It’s called the EcoMaster. Thom is the local Australian distributor for the CD cleaning machines also :)
Those are Eco Master machines, instead of working on heat / buffing they sand discs to get really deep scratches out. You can load them with up to fifty discs at a time and on the deepest cycle they take about 7 hours to process. We had 1 machine for a very long time and now have 4 of them. We are not using them to full capacity yet. Thom

It's funny you said the bibles are popular for you because I was at a recent book sale and all of the religious books including a large stack of bibles were near the door as I walked into the sale. Just as I was walking in, a couple were walking out and a woman scoffed at the large piles of bibles saying 'bibles, good luck selling those!'. There were a lot of beautiful old bibles and I think they would have sold just fine.

Great seller!
@@backfromburnout I own all the Reacher books and have read most of them two or three times! One of my favorite authors. Unfortunately, Lee has turned the reins over to his brother Andrew, and I haven't been enjoying the last couple of books as much. I hope they can figure it out before the character becomes uninteresting.
😮 wow Mel! I don’t want to see you picking up books at the charity shops now. 😂 the look on your face when he brought those books to your warehouse, PRICELESS! 😅😅 Every woman knows that face. 😂😂 the “STOP PUTTING STUFF IN MY SPACE!” face. 😣
I will be choosing only higher end books and very carefully if I’m in a thrift shop. Thom and I do like to shop the bookfairs and make road trips out of the weekend. I just have to be very choosy.
It looks like business is good and that's a great thing.
I enjoy it!
It's ok Mel, we're all mad here! Could you put a link for your ebay store in the information on your youtube videos?
Keep on truckin' ... even with the price of gas... yikes!
It’s linked now in my homepage bio
@@backfromburnout Thank you Mel! I've save you.
If you don't mind me asking (maybe you have answered this in the past), where do you source your books from? (other than thrift shops etc.)
?🍽😋What is he EATING on the TOAST at BEGINNING. ?

Hi, what is the software that Tom is using to scan his books, dvds and cds? Thanks
@@thrifty_beach_mom6680 he has just paid many thousands to create it for himself.
@@backfromburnout What is this software? Who created? What software language? what platform? android, windows, online service? This is key to saving A LOT of time listing items!!
Lol...good luck Mel
