Literally watching every video of bob and brad right now trying to find what works for me. My therapist told me my pain might be permanent and I don’t believe that because I been trying things on the videos about neck and shoulders, I been finding some relief. My friends and family said they can even see a difference in the way I move my neck now.
Hello Nicole, I was in the same boat as you, this is why I found this channel. But some relief is nice, but I couldn't even raise my arm because of an elbow injury 3 years ago doing snowboard. There was no way I would wait a few months to get a piece of advice from a specialist (8 Months wait), so I bought myself an infrared light and went through my own treatments. *months later the specialist could not find anything, want more in-depth scanning, another 5 months - LOL So, basically, 8 months later 95% of the pain is totally gone.. thank god I didn't wait for them. Anyways the 500 hours of light study at my University and 33 years of working in the Engineering fields with light and frequencies, gave me a head start. :)
@@thesonhaslife You have 2 Companies that do stand out and they are - Redlight man - and Joovv - Here are some links to smaller devices that don't cost as much but do the same,. I'm very surprised you don't recommend them because in my personal experience these units are magical. As a fibromyalgia sufferer I've been helped by ultrasound many times. Traditional massage to break up muscle knots is very painful for me and will often cause bruising because my knots are so hard and deep. Ultrasound followed by gentle massage breaks up even my deepest knots usually with a pleasurable sensation rather than pain.
Also, Krystle, do you have your own personal device? What brand would you recommend? I suffer from Lyme Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis, and would love to look into a home-unit as well.
From what I hear you say, my inclination is to the infrared unit you have described before. That unit seems to penetrate deeper into the muscle tissue, doesn't hurt bones or joints. TENS units also appear advantageous for muscle stimulation and I have wondered if you could combine TENS and Infrared! You don't seem too positive about ultrasound, so my question is: TENS, Infrared, or a combination/ alternating of the two?
Been going to a chiro for a month straight. Nothing helped until they did ultra sound therapy . The first day I felt better. Second one I feel like they wasted 1 month when all they had to do was give me the ultrasound on my lower back and I would have been as good as gold.
I have Achilles tendonopothy with a bone spur will this help me with anything? PAIN, reduce bone spur, help the tendon? I'm desperate surgery isn't an option right now
Thanks for this helpful video, Bob and Brad. I'm considering getting an ultrasound device for foot pain and I'm glad I watched this first before going ahead and buying one.
Hi an uncle have one of those METTLER ELECTRONICS SONICATOR ME 730 W/ 10cm & 5cm transducers and it appears Err1, is there any way to make it work again ? Thanks great video
I had ultrasound treatment with my OT. We used at the end of each session and (treating my hand) my hand was submerged in a basin of warm water. Can you tell me how that different from direct use like you talk about? Is there different benefits? I had great success in pain reduction and joint mobility, at least I feel like I have!
Could it be used for very painful to touch and swollen trochanteric bursitis? Or would the heat from the u/s cause increased swelling? And would it heat up the hip bone before it reaches the trochanteric bursa? Do you guys EVER answer people’s questions?? Ice packs are NOT helping!
Years ago, I had brusitis in/on my elbow. It was very swollen and painful. It went away after only about a week of after daily castor oil packs with applied heat. I wrapped the pack with plastic wrap around my elbow and then used a hot water bottle on top.
Hi, my PT used this machine on my cheekbones for an injury. He used it at 1 MHz, which is too high for the face and at 20% pulse and I believe around .6-.7 setting. It caused stinging and burning and I am concerned about facial fat loss as ultrasound can damage the tissue. He only did it for 4 minutes. Do you think I should be concerned?
What about “cold laser” home-use units? I saw the benefit of cold laser therapy at my veterinarian’s office when my dog had a terrible back sprain. It really worked and he was much better even after the first treatment. Of course they were using an expensive medical unit. I do see hand-held units sold for personal use.
It increases cellular activity which can help the cancer grow faster. It also increases local blood flow which apart from improving the growth, can also help the cancer to spread. Probably shouldn't risk it, even after the surgery.
Love your videos. Would ultrasound be beneficial for a quad tendon tear therapy during the rehab process? If not, would anything else be helpful for direct heat?
Get a Cold Laser Therapy device. I got a cheap one from Amazon helped my whole body. I splurged on a Laser TRX they offer a 6 month monet back guarantee it is easier to use then ultrasound too. I have a home ultrasound device a also it has been helpful but it requires you to manually do it. The Laser can just be placed on the area.
Hi Bob and Brad..great uploads but can you help me as I can't bend my right knee and when I do it clicks and hurts like the pattela is out of place and the tendon at the back of my leg feels swollen..please respond..thanks.
Appreciate the info, guys! These devices sound like they could be quite dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing. I think the FDA should ban devices sold for home use!

Krystle Poulin ty for sharing your experience and with chronic pain, from a chronic illness. ❤️
Also, Krystle, do you have your own personal device? What brand would you recommend? I suffer from Lyme Disease and Rheumatoid Arthritis, and would love to look into a home-unit as well.
I agree . You can see muscle twitching while ultrasonic barely touches the surface of the skin .absolutely awesome. They think they know better.
Can you plz tell me you are using 1 mhz or 3 mhz machine ?
I have had a couple since the 80s/90s and I have had great success with them. Do not use over any metal in your body. Make sure you keep it moving.

just curious what is the wavelength of the cold laser, or the color.
Does NeuroMD NeuroMuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) use ultrasound or is this different?
Wow! I was thinking about this and boom this video popped up! Thank you
Just wondering why not on cancer? Spreads it? How about after MOHS surgery that removed cancer, for scar tissue? Thx!
Chance that it can increase cellular activity so cancer may metastasize
