Sorry it's been awhile since I've uploaded a new video but I just wanted to thank everyone for allowing me to reach over 3,000 subscribers. I hope you enjoy this video and the many more to come!
I thought: Oh, almost 40 mins, I'll watch about half, and later, I watch the second half. I started watching and, while it was still very exciting, it was already over. In other words, it was an excellent and informative tutorial. Thank you for that! 🙏 Congratulations on the 3000 subscribers... You should have many more!
Thank you so much for those really kind words! I’m really happy to hear you found the video engaging enough to watch the whole thing. It’s always a balance, trying to find a length that will prevent people from getting bored, but not making it too short that you speed through the important information. And I think especially with new users, sometimes it just takes a little bit of time for some of the information to sink in, so I’m glad to hear that even at almost 40 minutes you were able to watch the whole thing! I really appreciate it!
Congrat's on 3k Ben! Honestly your channel should have 300k but I know it's a grind. Your videos are top quality and the best consistent guides to Affinity Photo available IMO. Hopefully with the recent Adobe terms of service debacle and Affinity promoting 6 months free trial many more people will try the software and see how good it is and in turn find your excellent content to assist them in learning the software.
Thank you very much for the kind words! And I think I’ve definitely already seen a lot of growth since the whole Adobe debacle. So, I guess I can thank adobe for my new subscribers lol. I really appreciate your comment, and it’s comments like this that really motivate me to continue making, and improving my videos. Thank you!
@@brgphotography I'm one of those Adobe "refugees" but only because I saw all the complaints about the TOS changes. While I personally was not concerned (I'm a hobbyist and not a working photographer) it got me to look at the alternatives to Creative Cloud. I do like the perpetual license that Affinity has and the 6 month trial.
@jrbolton-jp2js Yes! And if you were able to pick it up when it was 50% off, it’s such amazing value. While I use Capture One for my RAW processing, 100% of my work goes through Affinity Photo for retouching, color grading, and other editing. It definitely rivals photoshop, and with all the hate Adobe is getting right now, we will hopefully see it being more widely used.
Re the Selection tool(s), you’ve virtually turned a “butter knife” into a “Swiss Army knife”. I’ve been using Photo for a couple years and was never aware of its vast versatility. Thanks.
I wish I had listen to this at least a week ago, because the impact of having an active (not deactivated) selection made me mad before I realized why nothing is working as expected....
@@antonzvanut9542 Hey there! Yeah, I've definitely had that same frustration! Sometimes it's hard to see the marching ants so you don't realize you had something selected, and you're wondering why nothing is working. Or worse when you have your selection hidden, so you can't even see the marching ants. Yeah, saving selections for later use is really useful, and something I didn't start doing till awhile ago. Now I use it all the time. Really glad you were able to pick up some new tips for Affinity Photo. It can do so many things, it's a never ending learning process. But that makes it fun!
Thanks for the input! Yeah, I think some of the tracks especially in the beginning have this warp/reverse effect in the song. Makes it sounds backwards. I’ll be a little more careful when choosing background tracks. Appreciate the feedback!

Thank you very much! Yeah, there are so many options, even with some of the “simpler” tools, I’m sure I’m not even using them to their full potential.
I really like your explanation that was so useful thank you a lot ❤❤❤❤
Thank you very much! I’m happy to hear you found it helpful! 🙏🏼
Great tutorial as always 👏
Thank you very much!
New subscriber! I found gold here 😁
Thank you so much! I’m really appreciative! I hope to keep this series of videos aimed towards beginners going.

Thank you! Always appreciate your support!

Two more discoveries: the precision of brush selection depends on the brush speed, and, selection can be saved for later use! Uau!

Nice video but please leave out the background music, it sounds like it is played backwards.

@@brgphotography I appreciate your reply, glad you took that as constructive, as it was meant to be.
