Hey brother! You’re welcome! I always appreciate the kind words. I’m always learning, so I’m just happy to pass on what I’ve learned to others.
I never heard of the vectorscope tool. I'm definitely going to use it! Thanks for this great tutorial!!!
Yeah. It’s something that a lot of photographers have never really used. It’s only really used by video editors and colorist for video work.
But it can definitely be used for photo work!
Excellent job!
Thank you! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yeah. The vectorscope isn’t really used by too many photoshop but it can be a really helpful tool.
@@brgphotography welp. Now I’m all paranoid about the white balance tool in affinity.
Actually I’m gonna have a video all about the white balance tool in affinity photo soon! From my experience it doesn’t really work the way it should, so going to show how you can kind of manually white balance!
@@brgphotography can’t wait to see it, then go back and correct old shoots lol
Great video, full of awesome tips. Thanks.
Thank you! I’m glad it helped!

@@brgphotography Subscribed as well of course ;)
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! It really helps the channel!
Thank you for this very instructive tutorial. Perfectly explained. It has significantly expanded my horizons in the field of image processing. Sehr herzlichen Dank.
I’m really glad to hear that! I think it is important to learn some of the more technical aspects to help with the create aspects of photography.
I really dont know why not all photo apps gave a vectorscope. I do lots of video editing in davinci resolve and i always use the vectorscope to get skin colors right. Davinci has a skin tone line in the vectorscope , called skin tone indicator so its very easy to get the skin right
Same. I wish all photo apps had a vectorscope. It's so useful. I also edit a lot of video in Resolove, and FCPX and am always using the vectorscope.
What tool are you using to select patches of skin. How is that done?
Do you mean when I just show only a certain area of the skin? I’m just using the crop tool to just crop around the skin I want to show. Then I go to document->unclip canvas to restore the image before the crop.
@@brgphotography oh Okay Understood now Thanks!
This is a very useful technique.
Glad it helped!
Hello, very interesting but your actions are fast. I'm 80 and can't follow it very quickly, my English is not that good. My question: How do you get the full image right again after determining the correct skin color? I personally like to have the actions in text, so I can keep track. Can have it translated by translate. Kind regards, Wim
Hello! Thank you for the comment.
I do sometimes speak very quickly. I’m sorry for that. I think I try to give too much information in a short period of time.
To answer you question, you can return to the full image, you go to the top tool bar and go to:
Document -> unclip canvas. That will return the picture to full size after the crop.
I put the English captions on so you should be able to see captions I think.
Hope this helps!
Thank you very mutch
You can play the video slowe its the contol on the right of the video player
I take it, this is V2?
I believe it is, but all these features are available on version 1 I believe.
@@brgphotography yea, they are, just has a different look and organized a little different. I seen the price of the new version, I believe I'll just stick to V1 for now.
In all honesty, they are almost exactly the same I feel like. But maybe when the next Black Friday sale happens, might be a good time to pick it up. Sometimes they go down to half price.
But to be honest, there isn’t some “killer feature” that is only available in V2. I could still do all my work in V1 if I needed to. I just bought V2 to support Affinity.
@@brgphotography Yea, I kinda gotten that sense there wasn't any Real Big changes. just a little different look.
This is hard do there is another way to do skin tone color?
Yeah. Another way could be to pick a skin tone color you like, then make a new layer a change the blend mode to Hue. Then paint that new color over the image. This also helps to even out uneven skintone.
@@brgphotography do you have a video that it shows this steps that you explaining me?
In another words, is almost thesame steps like this videono? Thats what i want to learn change the skin tone to pop up.
I don’t have a video like that yet, but it’s a great idea, so I think I will make one in the future. I might talk about it in some of my full retouch videos, but can’t remember which ones.
@@brgphotography you should do a video like that. Please let me know if you remember the retouch video. So you used alot affinity right?
@@brgphotographyi also want to know do vectorscope it also can used to grabbing sking and tone sking to look more color? Do vectorscorp can also used for other things like items, house or food. What about food?
