Forging a signature on divorce documents is NOT just a willy nilly crime, your commiting fraud and purjury right off the bat to start with.

It was twice as long as it should reasonably be. I suspect the writers get paid on a per word basis, so they pad out the stories as much as possible. This one was one of the most egregious examples.

The moral of this marathon story is: Don't demand a divorce unless you genuinely want one. Once it becomes official, it's too late.

I'm so glad that this time the wife had the guts to report that her signature was falsified in so many of these stories no one reports the forgery
This story annoyed me from start to finish. Forging someones signature would not be so easily dismissed, just because they both now want a divorce. Forgery is forgery. Once they actually went to court for the actual divorce, she would have had to declare her income as well before a financial settlement of assets could be decided. This would have taken months. And so much more, so this story just annoyed me.
Apple text universe has a lot of leeway for each role, crazy MIL entitled to their DILs maid service and cash for more than 2yrs up to 15yrs, crazy Sister or SIL/MIL crippling a nephew and getting it settled out of court *no jail time* , Cheating Ex-husband demamding a remmarriage believing the person they cheated on is _waiting to get back with them_ , gold digger returning the dud they stole so the lawsuit on them get called off, antagonist doing crimes like illegal parking, breaking&entering, assault, stalking and identity theft and having everything settled *out of court*
It annoys me because if my husband forged my name on divorce papers, I wouldn't be talking to him at all, talk to my lawyer loser.
@@arleneclark6369 I so agree, not that I have a husband anymore. lmfao But I do like law and reality, I can sometimes understand when these are are based on K-dramas and C-drama's. But the absolute ignorance of law gets under my skin. Especialy when reading to an english speaking audience.
Sadly these stories only remember certain laws when they want to, even then the people making these stories possibly aren't from the US despite making it look like the story is from the US which might add to things

Charges would not be dropped just because the spouse also wants a divorce. That would affect sentencing maybe.
Actually the person bringing the charges can drop the charges at any time. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.
@@ArthurRex131 It doesn't work that way in criminal court. Once the crime is reported it's up to the state, the only thing the victim can do is ask for leniency.
Suspended sentience in this case makes sense as she indicated she wanted the divorce for other reasons. It would still go on his record and he would be under suspension so he wouldn't technically have gotten away "Scott free" by any stretch. I don't know what his job is, but it's seems to be some form of business interaction, kind of surprised his company is comfortable with someone with forgery on their record.
This whole story is a load of crap anyway, she went through the divorce procedure claiming he supported her and she had no income. He could take her to the cleaners for that, I'm pretty sure the massive green bandage would heal his wounded pride pretty quickly.
How did we have an ENTIRE story about housework?!!

Ex-husband's picky cleaning standards as his weakness. Got a taste of "perfection" but only for a short time then tried to demand the ex-wife for a contract renewal he cancelled himself.

Lily has a lot of money to support herself without Sean’s help even though he never really did anything to support her in the first place and she doesn’t need someone like Sean in her life anymore. And he deserves what he got for being so arrogant.

I honestly wonder how many marriages are actually ended via forged signatures, considering how many stories seem to revolve around that theme. That is a crime (multiple crimes actually) that should have one immediately seeking out a lawyer, especially if the person who did it is dumb enough to confess to it.
In the US, not very many. In the US all divorces must go through court, even uncontested divorces. They are not just a matter of filing papers that are routinely handled by just clerks. A judge MUST be involved and almost always that means at least one lawyer. No reputable lawyer would risk his license to practice law by allowing a forgery on the divorce papers.

Why does this make me think of " the war of the roses" movie?

Men who cheat often accuse the wife of being a poor housekeeper as an excuse to justify their cheating. Finding fault with the wife is a classic dick move by cheaters. By pointing fingers, they try to gain a higher moral ground - and to tell themselves that the wife deserved to be cheated on. BTW, this story is twice as long as it reasonably should be. It'd say the writers get paid per word, so they pad things out and stuff quality. And this writer dragged it on and on, well beyond anything reasonable, to produce a wordy, tedious, boring - but presumably lucrative - tale.
My ex said that plus I quit working out. I taught and several of us worked out after school. We stopped two weeks before the end of school. He moved in with his other woman the second week after school ended.

🤔 How are all these court documents getting filed without notarized signatures? It's a recurring issue in these stories.
Within the first 10 minutes: Put his sorry a** in jail. Let him think about it. Then he wants her to commit purjury. Ain't he Mr. Truth and Justice? I actually use a cleaning service. They do not pick up or sort clutter and they don't always get some of the details. They also do not do the laundry, most of the time. And they do not cook your meals. Usually, unless an extra fee is paid, they don't wash dishes.
Sean forgot that what goes around comes around. There's a big bite coming for Sean, perhaps several bites.

That kind of work is hard. My sister and I cleaned houses my sister used soft soap on a glass coffee table I had to clean that table with glass cleaner it looked good after that so it not so easy of a job!
You have to have a judge grant your divorce in court to become divorced.
I'd rip into him for forgery, then divorce him a second time. Specially telling the lawyer.
I was expecting Sean to come back begging cause he couldn't do chores on his own but making your own business, getting him charged for forgery & then letting him find out his cleaning services are from OP's company before terminating the contract was another level I didn't expect. It's stupid but I can't help but imagine Sean's dad is a fat guy that looks kinda like a giant lazing around on a lazy boy or something like it's his thrown in a golfing/polo shirt & some fancy wrist watch. It only means that the court did not convict him of the crime *at that point in time but will so in the future* .
The court likely did only wait on the ruling of another court whether the divorce was actually in effect or not before ruling on the forgery. Very strange since a forgery is a forgery regardless of a divorce. Maybe it was so the woman is not responsible for monetary punishment as well since she is still married, meaning the court would punish the victim as well.
This story could have been about 20-25 minutes shorter.

Sorry but I kind of agree with Sean. She is leeching off her parents. She owns her own company making a lot of money. Saying she stays with her parents so they can clean and do chores while she runs her business... pretty much a leech. She's a grown adult. If she has so much money she should get out of her parent's basement and be independent. She owns a maid service, surely she can manage to hire a maid to manage her home.

If she didn't work, then she can get him for spousal support, half of the assets, and half of his retirement. Her lawyer can even set it up to where they base that spousal support off of what his income on his income tax reports.
She can also sue him for emotional abuse.
