Kyle was magnificent! Wow! Sophie has the best husband (even if he is some kind of gangster). He scared the #### out of Alexa! Looks like she will be going to jail for more than hitting a pedestrian on a sidewalk (ring door bell cameras catch this stuff), but also for extortion and child abuse. And who knows what else the police or Kyle will dig up on her.
The decision on whether Sarah takes the exam is mostly Sarah's, Sophie's, and Kyle's and it is not Alexa's business.

I really felt bad for Liza, having a mother that wouldn't consider whether or not she wanted to take the exams. If she had gotten a good job after graduation the mother would always be begging off her because SHE was the one who pushed her daughter for getting a better education, and felt she was owed.
Kyle his wifes REAL reason for not sending kid to private school is because they dont want their kid to become like Alexa & her kid, the kid hating her mom & her mom being a Karen xD

Modern phones have a button on them that makes them SILENT during the hours you choose, I never fail to wonder why more people don't use them rather than being woken up in the middle of the night by stupid phone calls or texts. Alexa, the gambling addict mother who blows more money than she can afford at the casino. She claimed to be concerned for her daughter's education, yet the child support money that her ex was paying was likely what was being blown at the slot machines. She never realized that the odds on all the games at those establishments are heavily in favor of the house. Trying to maim your neighbor and exhort money from said neighbor is beyond stupid. What you said makes a lot of sense. I was thinking that the husband would turn out to be an agent for the FBI who worked in the organized crime unit. He does not threaten Alexa in any way but he does have her picked up for questioning by other agents. Of course the reason why she was picked up by the FBI gets back to all the crime bosses and Alexa finds herself being watched continuously by both sides.

First thing I should mention is to anyone that is/is going to be a parent, what Sophie is doing with talking to her partner and daughter is the right thing to do, if you do not let your child have an opinion on what they want, they will become stressed out and eventually burn out if you force your opinion on them or maybe they would loathe you more than you’d think they do. This I know very well, my parents let me do what I wanted because they know they can’t control every aspect of their children’s lives (I’m the baby of six) and in my classroom, a kid was put into the class which was a different branch of the special ed program, they said constantly that they didn’t want to even be there and I could tell they absolutely loathed being there and from what I could tell I think they are trans because they seem to hate their grandma who they live with and I constantly hear them being referred to with either she/her pronouns or he/him pronouns. It was then explained to me that parents don’t give them a choice and they unknowingly are going to cause their child to cut off their parents when they’re adults.

Where are these supposed people living where they have to pay for high school??? There are a lot of these that talk about paying for high school, so where does that happen???
They are talking about going to private schools or schools you have to apply for and take entrance exam to be admitted, In america that's magnet schools or specialty schools.
In illinois, in the school district we were in, we had to pay for public school. It was $180 per child for high school and that didn't include the extracurricular activities.
Thank you for sharing what it is like in your area of the country. I do not have any children of my own, but I have always believed in paying taxes myself to insure that every child receives an education.
