Phenomenal review! I have the same watch and LOVE it. Perfect size for my 6.5" wrist. I had the larger version and was never happy with it's size being too big for my wrist...finally sold it and bought this one and it is perfect.
It was pretty smart of JLC to only include lume in the dark side and not on the white side.

I am putting my deposit on the green/black Polaris this weekend, will take 3-4 months to arrive. Definitely tempted to try on the Reverso. It's a collectors watch, so how can you not own it. Another great review, enjoy your videos.

Designing a movement in such a small unconventional package for a 2 sided functioning watch must be an engineering feat in itself. I have always loved the Reverso, but my wrist is too small for the shape. Your particular model is one of my favourites with very elegant and clean lines.

I purchased the Tribute Duoface version of this watch because it speaks to me more, but boy, luckily you bought one before JLC increased the price so high... but I have to have one though. Love it more than my Rolex for sure.

HI M.M, may i know why you prefer the medium version? I have a 6.6 inch wrist, both fits well. But Since my body built is slightly large, im thinking if the Large would fit me better
If i have to imagine mature charm and elegance, that is one of the watches it rapresents those better

So as you can see I’m starting to binge your channel. I love this particular Reverso. It’s such a shame they took away that perfect pad where the brand name is printed on the silver side. I really don’t like the new ones with the printing on the guilloche pattern. Great pickup. 🙌🏻
Ha, I’m glad you are enjoying the channel. I totally agree. The new Reverso’s don’t feel as nice with the way the name is printed on the guilloche, the size which is a ‘grand taille’ and also the straps don’t feel as nice as on this one. It was a really lucky pick up
Assouline have just released a great book on reverso in conjunction with Jlc. Have a duodate and it’s my favourite- little piece of Art Deco on your wrist.

Not everybody's cup of tea aesthetically but it looks majestic and so unique, truly one of a kind piece... Your watch collection looks great, you are very precise and patient with each one, that's very hard to do.. With the disease called watch collecting. Cheers 🍻

Beautiful watch and I must say the best video I have seen on Reverso to date! So torn between a Reverso and a Cartier tank as my next piece (eventually).
Thank you very much for the kind words. Both are super watches and you won’t be disappointed with either. However, I think the JLC Reverso is a little more special, although I have been looking at the Cartier santos recently. 🥴
@@watcherofwatches1969 I agree that that Reverso is a more special. For me personally both have thier pros and cons. I very recently got the opportunity to try both a Reverso and tank on the wrist.
The Reverso I believe was a classic large? My first impression was that the case itself was super impressive in terms of quality, a completely different class to the Tank (Solo). The only downside was it felt larger/chunkier than I would have liked. I have relatively slim wrists (6.75) and prefer smaller dimensions.
The Cartier was a Tank Solo (large) quartz. Some may consider this a negative, it doesn't bother me and actually has some benefits. I love the designs/dial of Cartier (Roman numerals etc). I was very impressed with the thinness of the piece and how comfortable i felt wearing it.
My conundrum is as follows, the Reverso is undoubtedly the better watch however both my wife and store assistant agreed that the Cartier suited me better. The Cartier is a lot cheaper which seems like an obvious positive but I wouldn't want to feel like I cheaped out if that makes sense.
For context I currently own one "luxury" watch, a brand new Rolex 36mm Datejust 126234 black dial fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. I mention this to show I am obviously drawn towards dressier pieces but also want the second piece to complement the Datejust. My apologies for the essay but any advice would me much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
@@mazrashid6549 the Cartier is a super watch, and yes it’s thinner which I understand for your wrist size. If that feels comfortable then definitely go with that. Wrist estate is precious, so you want no doubts.
However I’ll make a couple of recommendation. Look at the Reverso, in medium, non duo face. It’s thinner around 9mm and with your wrist size I think would be a better fit. The large with my 7 inch wrist I felt was big too, so understand where you are coming from. If the medium doesn’t sing, well then you definitely know the Cartier tank is the one.
Also, the comparable Cartier tank is the Louis Cartier version. It’s more around the JLC money, but the finishing is superb. Do check that out

@@mazrashid6549 the grand taille fits in between the medium and large. I found the size perfect, unfortunately it’s now been discontinued by JLC. They wanted to reduce the range of Reverso’s as it became too many options.

Looks very nice. Did you take a look at the three sided version? If I was to buy one, I would prefer the original one sided with plain metal surface on the other side, it has a thinner profile as well.

You mean the Triptych?! That’s my Grail Reverso. Ingenious and a real marvel!
I had and loved the monoface but for me, I remember seeing the duoface released when I was 14 and I always wanted it. All the older guys I looked up to had a Rolex and even as a kid I wanted something different. Getting it this year, finally, was like a childhood accomplishment ticked off.
I now just need the Pontiac trans am firebird from Smoky and the Bandit or the Aston Martin from Goldfinger and I can retire… and refrain from putting in any effort in life knowing I have completed my work here on earth 😂😁
What are the differences between this model and the newer duoface classic?

Greetings!! Would like to know if you would go for Medium or Large for the Reverso Classic Duoface smallseconds. I have a 6.6inch wrist, both medium and large sits well but i just cant decide
My wrist is 6.75 inch and I preferred the medium out of the two, so possibly a medium for you with a slightly smaller wrist. However it comes down to personal preference
