I used to only use single sleeves, and after playing a bunch I'd notice that the cards would still get dirty which really sucks - especially with foils because the dirt can stick inside the sleeve and scrape the crap out of the foil. I found out about Dragonshield inner sleeves a while back and it has been a game changer. It definitely takes a bit more time to get a deck sleeved up, but it's worth it. I always had that problem with loading the inner sleeved card into a standard sleeve and came up with a workable method, but the one you showed here looks a lot easier. One minor tip I would add: When you're putting your finger on the card to help slide it into the larger sleeve, do it on the back of the card to avoid putting fingerprints on the front. If you care about that kind of thing
It's such a bummer to think you're protecting your cards only to find the tops all dirty after a few months (I think that's a fairly common experience).
There are perfect fits that I refer to as "diapers". They have an extra tab of plastic that can slide behind your card and into the perfect fit. Also helps avoid the perfect fit sliding off or air pockets.
All the crud built up around the opening at the top of the outer sleeve is why I inner sleeve up and outer sleeve down. That way every time I shuffle or store cards, that junk falls out instead of getting caught between the sleeves and rubbing holes through them like sandpaper.
Great Video! My way to put down the inner-sleeved card: put an unsleeved card behind the inner sleeve a bit higher, then push both (inner-sleeved und unsleeved) card down. When the inner-sleeved card hits the bottom, you can push out the unsleeved card. Works perfectly.
Friendly reminder that in the 90s, sleeves were both really bad compared with now and, more impkrtantly, Illegal for tournament play because the terrible sleeves resulted in marked cards due to the lack of quality control in the production process at the time.
Sideloader innersleeves are bad, the total amount of sleeve needed for liquid to bypass is much less. The same with sealable sideloader innersleeves. Any gimmick is nonesense.
I used to play with two decks over the course of four days a week. FYI I found the only reason you need to replace an inner sleeve is if you riffle or ruffel shuffle, the edges tend to Crack over timeFYI
I personally like to use Dragon Shields Sealable Perfect Fit Sleeves for my perfect fit. Sure it takes a little added time but I like that little extra protection. I think double sleeving my cards makes shuffling easier.
I decided I don’t like compressing the air out of it and infact it made shuffling way hard and I was using dragon shields. I think the extra bit of air is essential for east shuffling. I ended up replacing the dragon shields this weekend from a deck that I’ve only played twice so far as it was just not easy to shuffle since I compressed all the air out.. used way cheaper sleeves and now it shuffles great!
Sealable Perfect Fit(the ones with that flap) Regular Sleeve Penny sleeve Hard plastic top loader Soft plastic sleeve Oversized-card sleeve Zip-loc Space grade tape
The onea with the flap are garbage. Ita literally just a sideloader with an extra step, it makes the card thicker and protects from liquids just as poorly as a sideloader. The best sleeves are dragonshield inner smokes. Makes your clear back sleeves dark enough to not make cards easy to tell apart.
Noone ever mentions how MASSIVE it makes your commander deck. I double-sleeved 1 commander deck and will never do it again! I needed to get a whole new, bigger deck box because my tokens no longer fit with the deck in the old box. That meant the proportions for the Arkhive i carry my decks in is now out of whack; i can only bring that one and 2 decks to game night as opposed to 4, and there is an awkward empty space in it. And there is the straight up awkwardness of trying shuffle a deck that big! I have big hands and i find it difficult, cant imagine how someone smaller than me would go. I feel all the extra effort i put into not spilling the cards everywhere is damaging my cards more than single sleeving them would, gotta rest it on my stomach sometimes just to regain some shape so they dont spill everywhere 😂
I double sleeve my commander decks, and yes, they do become much bigger. I use Gamegenics 100+ deck boxes, and those have enough space for double sleeved and relevant tokens :)
For storage , is a valuable card safe with an innersleeve and then inside a custom like psa slab ? Otherwise I was thinking on adding and extra magnet slab over the psa slab. Thoughts ?
Ha well I love the new music this crew made, but it’s a bummer to see them break up and cancel a tour. I’m pretty sure Tim owns AILD, so my guess is that this all comes down to one thing: money. 😞
Perfect fit sealable dragon shield is better than the inner sleeve this dude is talking about. Fully wraps the card before putting in your other sleeve or ultra pro binder sheets.
@@MagicMetalMoney excellent! I've been using on all my vintage and high value cards. need to be careful in how you slide them in if you are fussy about nicking the corners/edges. But, really like them and happy to hear you will be reviewing!
One reason I don't care to do it all the time is a 100 card double sleeved deck is considerably larger and harder to shuffle. I started to just double sleeve only the valuable ones. I only play casually anyways

Those can be great too!

That's the way to do it!
This jokester! Thinking I sleeve my cards!
lol you’re a brave soldier 🫡
This is a lot more economical than my plan to move into a biodome.
Lol You could do both....
Thank you!
I haven’t seen that method before, but it sounds solid!
Good idea. And you can use some common land card you’re not worried about wearing out.
Same. Using another card to push the first one in there works so well, no doubt the best method
You're not wrong- the air squeeze is the best part. 😊
Let's go!

Great call out! Thanks!
Team Penny Sleeves
The first time I saw sideloaders I fell in love with them immediately. But now I actually use sealables 🤷🏾♂️
Sealables are solid!
Sideloader innersleeves are bad, the total amount of sleeve needed for liquid to bypass is much less. The same with sealable sideloader innersleeves. Any gimmick is nonesense.
Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
This is a great educational video! Sideloader inner sleeves (although I am not a fan) are viable if you use Sideloader outer sleeves
Glad you liked it! Good point! Then you can get the opposite directions. Shuffling seems like a pain though.
Many magic the gathering players want to know How do I double sleeve my cards...
Tight dragon shield perfect size and katana play sleeves!
I used to play with two decks over the course of four days a week. FYI
I found the only reason you need to replace an inner sleeve is if you riffle or ruffel shuffle, the edges tend to Crack over timeFYI
Great point!

Extra effort for extra protection 💪
Hahaha! Loved the ziplock sleeves. Imagine this company entered the sleeve market after this video
Haha they better give me a cut 😂
Dragon Shield Perfect Fits are my instant go to💯
Very nice!
Great video! Fortunately, we are safe from anti-gravity technology... 😆 Happy you are back! 🙂
Thank you!! Great to be back 🐺 Just finished polishing the script for the next video!

But it's so fun... lol - interesting that you find them easier to shuffle, I could see that helping
@ yeah I’ll never be compressing them again lol was a waste of $12 dragon shields oh well!
Seeing you come back is 5/5 Raphael’s
Appreciate it!! Already got two more scripts written for ya
Finally someone else realizes this lol yay ty
Ha double sleeve is the truth!
3:57 if you think 15 years is a long time, just play me with my deck in jester sleeves!
😨
Very good video!
Glad you liked it!
dragonshield resealable inner sleeves..... game changer
I'll be reviewing those for sure!
KMC perfect fits + katanas for me. Will be interesting to hear your opinion in the brand video.
I’m also on KMC perfect fits! Katanas will definitely be part of that review!
Rad hoodie 🤙, but no sleeves 🤨
Ha got this hoodie almost 20 years ago. Cut the sleeves off after the first decade
Could you elaborate on reasons against side loaders?
Yes! Dirt can still get into the inner sleeve easier than a card that has the double sleeve going the opposite direction of the regular sleeve.
I like to finish it off with Saran Wrap
That extra layer is smart!
Welcome back! Still have to get used to the haircut though.
Thanks! And haha yeah, me too! 😂
Sealable Perfect Fit(the ones with that flap)

haha shoot! I missed a few layers of MAX protection!
The onea with the flap are garbage. Ita literally just a sideloader with an extra step, it makes the card thicker and protects from liquids just as poorly as a sideloader.

Doublesleeving my Vintage Cube is work.
Haha that's a lot of cards...
Ty. I missed you.😢
Ha feels good to be back!

Fair point! I don't play commander and don't have experience with a double sleeved edh deck.
I double sleeve my commander decks, and yes, they do become much bigger. I use Gamegenics 100+ deck boxes, and those have enough space for double sleeved and relevant tokens :)
Well here is 20$ lol for double sleeve one deck .. 7.99$ for inner sleeve and 13.99 for dragon shield.. well Canada
Hopefully buying inner sleeves in bulk can help! 🤞
CHILDREN OF THE FENCE
More coheed easter eggs to come.....
For storage , is a valuable card safe with an innersleeve and then inside a custom like psa slab ? Otherwise I was thinking on adding and extra magnet slab over the psa slab. Thoughts ?
Storage in a slab can be great! I have another video about storing your cards that I'd recommend. th-cam.com/video/fBu3GHjxWpM/w-d-xo.html
WOLF PACK BACK ON TRACK 🤘🤘
Excited to be back! 🤘🐺🤘
Card Sleeves? Sounds like a scam to me.
Lol who needs 'em?
I just go single sleeve. Foils are much more visible.
That's true - the double sleeve hides the beauty of foils
:> thanks for sharing the video. do you need a graphic artist to work on your YT logo and banner? for a cheap price...
For me, the shuffle "myth" is not a myth to be honest.
Hey man what do you think of the whole AILD debacle?
Ha well I love the new music this crew made, but it’s a bummer to see them break up and cancel a tour. I’m pretty sure Tim owns AILD, so my guess is that this all comes down to one thing: money. 😞
@ Sadly you may be right.
there's a guy at my lgs who refuse to use sleeves or a playmat
Lol that's some real pick me energy
Perfect fit sealable dragon shield is better than the inner sleeve this dude is talking about. Fully wraps the card before putting in your other sleeve or ultra pro binder sheets.
Will be part of the sleeve review video for sure!
@@MagicMetalMoney excellent! I've been using on all my vintage and high value cards. need to be careful in how you slide them in if you are fussy about nicking the corners/edges. But, really like them and happy to hear you will be reviewing!
that man is hillarious
If they printed MTG cards on a waterproof material instead of cardboard ...well Dragon Shield would never allow that. 😅
Hahaha DS is sounding like the mafia in this scenario 😂
🥃
🤘🤘
YeS!$!
Good to be back!
all of your cards have a nice big fingerprint on the inner sleeve lol
Idc ill use sideloaders
bro is in foil
Lmao that's my new excuse for terrible lighting
Adjust white balance please.......eesh
directions not clear, dual land now obstructing angus
🤣
I can't tell is he's trolling

Fair enough! I don't play commander, so I didn't even think about the size of the commander deck
I will simply never spill any drinks.
