Every time I hear a Native American flute being played it just guts me... I can't handle it. It's the sound of my ancestors and reminds me of the Trail of Tears. (The Gael is a great iconic work by the way)
This song is called the Gael...this is a Scottish song...js...Hawkeye was a Scott lol it literally has to do with how no one accepted Native Americans or Scottish both were persecuted lol..just saying somebody knew their history pretty well
The Gael (later used in Last of the Mohicans) was written by Dougie MacLean as a commission for the Loch Ness Monster Centre Scotland . The idea being thinking about the ancient Gaelic peoples who lived around the Loch and watched for the Monster .Its from the album "the search" 1990 where many other tunes are also about Loch Ness .
