I was 11 when my grandfather took me to see The Last of the Mohicans in theatre. I saw this way too young! When this song kicked in at the end of the movie, I loved it! It proved you didnt need dialogue. A perfect example of show, dont tell! Wonderful cover!

even how they treated each other. the way horses were re-introduced into what is now usa. (as horses were there in prehistoric times but died out). the sioux traded their Navajo sslaves for horses with the Spanish. so yes humans were traded by one tribe as payment for horses that the spanish provided, with humans from another tribe. this resonates with me as one of my friends was navajo and he was the nicest person. so this is what his ancestors went through.

I’m in tears every time I hear this music because of how the Indian people were treated in early America
even how they treated each other. the way horses were re-introduced into what is now usa. (as horses were there in prehistoric times but died out). the sioux traded their Navajo sslaves for horses with the Spanish. so yes humans were traded by one tribe as payment for horses that the spanish provided, with humans from another tribe. this resonates with me as one of my friends was navajo and he was the nicest person. so this is what his ancestors went through.
