Love your picture in the background "Live By Grace Not Perfection". So many of us struggling with guilt even after we have overcome a sin. It's very inspiring. 😊 Great message! Working on this for my husband. Already got him but he deserves it!
The story of king David makes me think about my David after he is saved I hope he comes and finds me. Til then its nothing but one day beginnings quickly ended. Unequally yoked gives me anxiety. I believe who I am in Christ and what I do in Christ isn't as much of a choice but is part of who I am and anyone who suppresses it gives me anxiety. A dread I like to avoid. When my David gets salvation I hope he makes everything right between us and claims me. Not that I know for sure he won't forsake me because I was in his soon to be old life. Yes father God can tell you someone will be saved after years of prayer he often tells people.
I hear what you are saying. I understand your points. It is refreshing to learn another way to see this story. What I have always seen is, a woman who went behind her husband's back, deliberately, disobeying his will. Speaking ill of him and degraded him to a rival. And stroking David's ego to save her people and herself. Please, don't get me wrong. I agree with what she did. She saved many lives. As for me; my husband was a total tool and it was very difficult for me to share anything negative about him to others. Because I am known for being very loyal and dependable... So... I understand this womans plight. It seems that she ran the household and was the actual power in the home as his servants had the audacity to come to her to contradict her husband. They would never do this unless it was customary to come to her to usurp her husband's authority. These are just my thoughts on this subject. This is a story line that I have often pondered. Personally, I like your viewpoint much better. It is a far less cunning and manipulative. Are you able to justify the two distinct ways to view this story? Can they find a balance? Or... is it one way or the other but not a balance or somewhere in between? Please, share your insights on this subject. 🙏🏼
I just posted something similar. I truly don't see her as virtuous either. I have no problem with her assisting David but after her husband died and David called her to be his woman she just upped and said yes even to the point of degrading herself from the position he was giving her to that of slave..... sorry there is no other side. Not condemning her but I can't say her actions were right....
Mr. Allen, my husband, my sister and I really love these teachings!! Thank you so much, and praise God for using you. I've read this story several times and until now, I hadn't seen this perspective. Praise Jesus!!! God bless you and your family. 💗
I believe God led me to this for my non believing spouse (we have separated) but praying hard God restores. I told my husband I wanted to win his heart, like Esther won the heart of the King.
The Bible says if a non - believing spouse leaves (divorce) then you are allowed to let him leave. In the eyes of God you are free and have not sinned. But God loves unity so if you choose to reconcile I would bless you in that and pray for your success in reconciliation.
kedean Duffus thank you, in the U.K. divorce is much more difficult. However, I believe God will restore my marriage, I’ve been seeking His voice and I’ve asked for confirmation about this. But thank you 🙏🏼
I'm thankful for this teaching. God has protected me from men that don't deserve me. I thought something was wrong with me but GOD said that I'm fine with the way he made me and to follow him so that he can prepare me to be the woman he's called me to be and to keep my heart for my husband.

Hey Brother Allen. I don't know how close we are in age (I'm 39), but I love your renditions/paraphrasing. Makes me relate and laugh aloud while not straying or conflicting with the Biblical account. "Hook a brother up" "we about to strap up and we about to take this fool out" "he ain't gonna give us jack" "yo, I'm sorry to hear hear what happened to your husband, but uh holla at cha boy" 😂😂😂 To answer to question you posed about being faithful & protective, I would say yes it is right to not engage or assist in harming him & protect him from a known harm coming. Also, we must be faithful in spite of a person's foolishness or ill temper as in we don't use their wrongs to rationalize or justify our own ungodly conduct. However, we do not need to support, promote or rationalize that person's foolishness, wrongdoing or ill temper. It's a matter of balance and Wisdom. Please keep up the great work as there are many practical life lessons we can glean from Biblical characters' lives and dealings with God and one another. You pose great discussion questions Brother. Grace & Peace to you
Allen, First off, let me say thank you for all that you are doing! I know that this is off topic but I would like to know what God has taught you through scripture on raising children and discipline. We have an 11 year old boy who has increasingly become disrespectful. I’ve searched the older videos looking for some guidance on the issue. If you or any of the audience can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Something my son and I can both watch together would be great. We are all blessed to have found your ministry. Thank you very much!
Speaking of Heart, Brethren have you ever heard this modern day Saying/Phrase: You just got to follow your heart. Most folks don't realize this but, your heart and feelings are one, and your feelings are attached to your Thoughts. You cannot trust your heart/feelings, because if you choose to be led in life by your feelings, instead of God, it will eventually sear your conscience, and drown you in Sin. Genesis 6:5-6 (KJV) 5And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination(fantasies & desires) of the THOUGHTS of his heart was only evil continually. 6And it repented(Saddened) the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. I heard a lesbian once ask a Brother in Christ by the name of "Frank" in a Q&A, if her having romantic (Lustful) feelings for another woman was a Sin. And He pretty much said no, because we all have feelings and thoughts that we should not act on, that it became a sin only if you physically act a pond those feelings/thoughts... when i heard that i immediately thought of Gen.6:5, and said to myself, "No brother what are you saying to that Lost women, just having those feelings and thoughts are indeed a Sin." This is why we need to rebuke and crucify our flesh and carnal mind daily. Anyhow, God bless brethren, in Jesus name. I added the (subheads) for clarity sake. Remember, Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I'm not sure what you mean but it depends... For example sex... It's good in marriage not outside of it... Yes your heart can deceive you but if you submit to God you will go on the right path... And it is good to love and we do it with our hearts Let's say me personally I liked this guy who was clearly not good for me.. He was leading me away from God... Liked wild parties... Worshiped idols... (I'm in Africa) I wanted to be with him my heart longed for him but the word of God led me away from him 2 Timothy 3:1-17 and you know that bad company corrupts good character it's in the book of Corinthians... So we dated for a week and a half and I had to break it off... And my heart longed for him.. Just with your hand you can use it for good or bad The point is it's you can use the things of God to glorify him or yourself... But he will guide you not to listen to your flesh so I think that the heart is deceitful is place in that context.. Allen also has a video of how read the Bible you should check it out it helped me a lot...🤗
@@bk7259 - it's a little hard to understand your grammar Sis, but i hear what you're trying to say. Don't allow yourself to be controlled and led by your feelings, nor the World standards of living. Let the Holy Spirit who dwells within the born again believer, lead you instead, so you can live a Godly lifestyle that agrees with what the teachings of bible. Also Sis you should know this by now, you know that the word of God, warns us to avoid being unevenly yoke (courting or marrying) with a unbeliever. Because they will eventually always try to lead you away from God, and get you to compromise on your Faith, thus hindering your relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If God through his word (bible) says NO, but your carnal feelings/heart and the World is telling you YES, who are you going to submit to ??? Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man (or woman) will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. The Christian life can be lonely at time, i know this myself from personal experience. so if you Sis want a companion, pray and ask the Lord to guide you to the man/brother in Christ, he wants you to marry. "Courting" is the biblical way to date someone, God bless you Sister, in Jesus name.
It’s great when a man can recognize a woman like Abigail, and not get intimidated or think being submissive is just shutting your mouth and serving him...
At the end of your videos, will you please recap/summarize your lists?? It will be very helpful in getting/solidifying your points, so they are memorable and helpful to your audience. Thank you!
There are way too many messages aimed at women and it’s honestly a burden as men are not working on themselves to be partners worth serving. The odds are unequal and unfair. The way this shows up in real life is by meeting men who expect you to be so much and do so much while having terrible character and not having their lives together. Every woman has a few stories to share. Do a whole series on men, please! They need it.
Thoroughly enjoyed this!! God bless you for the way you teach the bible. Makes me want to read the bible more. Can I pls request for you to end the videos with the written key points?
Beautiful. 💯! Thank you for sharing this wonderful story in such a rich and relatable way! Gotta say this... Brotha', you sure look a lot like Denzel and ya got some theatrical chops too! Y'all related?!? 🧐 Thanks, Soldier, and bountiful blessings~
Let me say this was one of your best deliveries yet. Definitely brought it down to a level that any young man or woman can understand. You had my laughing a couple times so BZ my brother. Keep sharing God's word!👍🏾
Top Martin Bro, that hit me so much! I knew this verse for a long time, but «For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.» Hebrews 4:12
If you have a fool for a husband, be nice to his enemies, and God will deliver you from the fool by death, and a righteous king will marry you. (Lol. Just kidding.)
I have a few questions. Sorry I am just asking, also something about part of it doesn't feel right. Don't get me wrong either. I love your videos. They are very helpful. However, yes we may be visual but isn't beauty in the eye of the beholder. Minus the obvious things. God bless those who have both or do not. But, Is it sin causing us to be judgmental visually? Does God judge our heart or our exterior? Are we supposed to judge by appearance? What about people who cant fix their situation, who may be mentally or physically ill? Or have an illness causing them to be incapable of fixing this issue. If someone who lacks exterior beauty but has the mental capacity, or vice versa. Could this have a negative impact on someone like that who may struggle with such a thing? Could this chase someone away from God if they are insecure? What if they lack both but have a good heart ? Aren't we made in God's image, so if a person is lacking one of those traits would be basically saying God is lacking one of those traits as well? Since we are made in his image? Isn't that like judging God's work if he hand crafted us? I have to disagree with some of this unfortunately, I believe everyone is beautiful in their own way. I agree with God to look at the heart and motives.
@@preciousamorpiscador1474 Well yeah that's what I meant by the obvious things. I know some people cant help it though. What about the homeless who cant afford or help that situation at their present time. Like people that been in a fire or accident etc. Or has home health aids, but what if the aid wont do that for them. Some get abused. Not all but some. I was just concerned for those who cant help it. Thank you though.
God does look on the heart, but if you're honest, you would admit that all people have visual attractions. The Bible teaches women to adorn themselves for their husbands along with having inner beauty.
@Graft Me I am being honest. I am sorry if this is how I perceived the message. God can check my heart. If I am wrong I will repent. I work with special needs I can't be judgmental in that profession. It helped teach me not to be. I asked God for the love he has for man. Not everyone is the same. Yes I'm aware some women do, but some try to and is judged harshly and get crushed. I am a women. I am aware. Just makes me think of the part of the bible with Jacob, Leah and Rachel. One God blessed with children one was not. Even though Jacob found one attractive and one not. Everyone has a different opinion on beauty too. I do agree with grooming but I am just asking about those who can't like the homeless or incapable due to illness. I guess my heart goes out to them who can't help it. From my experience I've learned the hard way to look at what's on the inside with men. In the past I was like that and would be picky but I learned a lesson from that to teach me not to. Due to being a victim of abuse a few times by guys who I thought had outer beauty. That taught me a very horrible lesson to look at the heart.
We are all made in God's image but, the one that GOD favors most is the one servant with a heart. Jesus was God in the flesh, but he had a servant's heart. If Jesus and David's wife had a servant's heart why can't YOU. Your disagreement is from the Satan he's making you question a servant's heart. Satan doesn't have a servant's heart he's selfish at heart just like his seed and those who follow him.
With all due respect Allen, we know that David loved a beautiful woman and so that's why Miss Abigail was able to calm him😏. Trust and believe if David wasn't attracted to her he wouldn't have listened. In my experience if a man wants you he wants you no amount of support or wisdom will keep him but good video as always🤗
even as a man this is a good lesson, makes me appreciate the woman I want to marry even more.

So the heart is deceitful thing is placed in that context I believe*
Matthew 16:24
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man (or woman) will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
The Christian life can be lonely at time, i know this myself from personal experience. so if you Sis want a companion, pray and ask the Lord to guide you to the man/brother in Christ, he wants you to marry. "Courting" is the biblical way to date someone, God bless you Sister, in Jesus name.
I think you would enjoy Christian TH-cam guy Marcus Rogers.
@@jamestateIII - yeah I'm already a sub of his, though i don't watch his videos regularly. Thanks and God bless brother, in Jesus name.
Wow, what a lesson...
Thank you!
I have just found you on TH-cam, and I am thankful. You just break it all down and make it so relatable! Thank you so much, may God bless you.
Hahaha the way you explain and talk.i imagine David talk like that.i laugh so hard😁thanks brother
Omg😂😂 I love his breakdown 😂
Awesome! Hopefully this helps!
It was great meeting you today sir. Thanks for being warm and friendly!
Hey man like can you put the scripture down in the discription sometimes I just want to see them myself so like sometimes I loose track on the screen
I love how you told that story! Do more like that!
I love the “Urban” vernacular! Be careful tho with the I’m not doing “Jack” reference! I hear what “Jack” really means! Great teaching as always!

The paraphrasing was slaying!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏽
This us good stuff brotha Parr
Can you make a video on a topic “when it’s hard to pray”, and how to deal with this problem, please?
Top Martin Bro, that hit me so much! I knew this verse for a long time, but «For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.»
Hebrews 4:12
Top Martin Evey Christian did or is experiencing this problem.
If you have a fool for a husband, be nice to his enemies, and God will deliver you from the fool by death, and a righteous king will marry you. (Lol. Just kidding.)
😂 !!!!
Basically lol I’m reposting this 🤣
😂😂😂
Ey yo Nabal!
It's ur boy David. Just wanna holler at ya.
Blessings!
Anything 4 ur guys this season?
Much obliged. Thanks man!
I think he means "neglect". Some women would not even brush their hair or cut their fingernails when they get too busy. 😅
You Allan this video was ur best in my opinion!! Great stuff!!
Now that's good stuff!😊🙌🙌
Love this :) thank you!
Thanks for my red wall
With all due respect Allen, we know that David loved a beautiful woman and so that's why Miss Abigail was able to calm him😏. Trust and believe if David wasn't attracted to her he wouldn't have listened. In my experience if a man wants you he wants you no amount of support or wisdom will keep him but good video as always🤗
