This device is a beast. I have been running Vita and Wii games on it.
I have one of the older retroid pockets and I loved it and have been WAITING for something like this. If I can stream games and emulate GameCube and 3ds for $250!!! I’m buying it rn
Did you say “exspecially”?
Haha he *So Did!*
I was axing the same thing
@@nevertellmethaoddz8581out of the millions, I'm glad you were the first sperm to reach the egg bro

Hall effects sticks use magnets instead of potentiamtors. They still use springs.
Gotcha, so the potentiometers are more prone drifting due to wear. But why do people make such a big fuss about the hall sticks then? Is it because there is no physical wear on the sensors?
@@DaveyG yeah, potentiamtor wear causes drift and dead spots. They sort of inherently lose calibration over time. Hall effects sticks are not prone to this sort of calibration loss through use in the same way. Unless you stick a Hall effects joystick in the oven or leave it in a hot car next to a speaker magnet, it isn't likely to experience calibration loss in the lifetime of the device.
Damn, you beat me to it.
What if you or your child keep button smashing the analog stick and scrape it against the sides of the analog shell? @@charliebrownbat
@@suhtangwong this would not be likely to cause significant wear on a hall effects stick, but would cause excess wear on a traditional analog joystick.
i only had it for 2 weeks im already half way through wind waker. its my first time playing it. its already in my top 3 zelda games iv played. next im going to play twlight princess.
Was it difficult to get the bios for each emulator that’s the only thing stopping me from getting it
i think it comes preinstalled. getting the bios files are really easy anyways@@ItsRevelatiion
Does it run well? How is the speed? I'm wanting to get a handheld console so I can play childhood games like that on the go but I want to make the right decision on which console to get.
@@matthopkins2024runs flawless at 2x (for 720p, which is the screen's native resolution), though you will need to activate the highest performance mode toggle to eliminate frame dips
@@last.alicee Thank you! I actually went ahead and purchased it. Let me tell ya, I'm impressed.
Yeah it's good and all but I'd still buy a RG405V for the 10th time because the price is incredible for how much power you get (gamecube is awesome on the RG405V)
Yeah it’s nice but I prefer using the rp4 pro it’s definitely a lot more powerful and much more premium feeling
I love my 3+. I didn't know the 4 had triggers like that. Some games work better too but that's the biggest objective draw I've seen.
The Odin 2 is better, It's powerful enough to play PC games natively on the Odin 2 through Winlator...
I'm playing through Fallout 3, New Vegas and Fallout 4 on my Odin 2...
Price difference though
Of course it's better. It costs over $100 more for the base version.
Guys look up the retroid pocket S !😮
The 2S is dogshit compared to the RP4, let alone the 4 pro. Only reason to get one is if you want a low res 4:3 display
I want a handheld that can play ps2 games but with the miyoo mini form factor (give or take), the RG405V is the closest I could find, the reason I want this form factor is that it would really make a cool mp3 and mp4 player for my free time while also playing some of my favourite ps2 titles, it definitely supports ps2 but it's just not good enough, and this performance for that price is just not it 🥲, hope we get one someday, if not I'll definitely go for rp4 pro, or maybe 5 if it ever releases.
If it can play Star Fox Adventures…take my money 😭
It can play it with hybrid Uber shaders and anti aliasing. It'll blow the balls off Star Fox Adventures. You can download the never released "Dinosaur Planet" which is the N64 game that was repurposed by Rare and turned into Star Fox Adventures. You get like 80% of the experience of SF Adventures
Is cup head one of the games it can emulate?
Can it play Eternal Darkness: Sanity Requiem? Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance? Tales of Symphonia? Just asking.
Can I use the games SD card from my power? Kitty r g b thirty in the retroid pocket for pro
I used an old SD card too, as long as you pint the emulators correctly you should be fine
Is there a video that shows how to install all the emulators?
Does it come with the games already on it?
Oh hell no, this beardy voice can't be the owner of a beardless guy
😂 I wish the beard chose me....
Rp4 pro ftw!
which launcher are you using to display all the games? the one that says "platform" on the top left
Daijisho
@@lucgav thanks
What frontend are u using??
Looks like daijisho, emulation station and beacon are way nicer. Pegasus looks awesome too
How good does switch emulation work?
You have wrong link to the video ✌️
Because it has a built-in *FM radio!*
No way...
@@DaveyG As an old man, I appreciate an FM radio in my handheld.
Seriously though, why is no one talking about the FM radio LOL 😆
@@janX9 BEcause they're not old?
Do you need headphones for it to work?
Does it have marvel rise of the imperfect for game cube or def jam?
You can add any game you want by downloading the rom on your computer and file transfer
Are the R and L pressure sensitive for driving games?
Hall triggers.
If that device has an HDMI port, then I’m sold.
It has mini hdmi
Has mini HDMI and the usb-c port can transmit video
@@mikaelos "micro"
Do you know if this can play Rom hacks Pokémon Insurance and Pokémon xenoverse and games made with the same RPG maker
What systems are they on? And yes
Does it play Dreamcast games?
Fantastic.
I just wish it was bigger like the Anbernic RG556
Can we play it while connecting the desktop or laptop or tv???
Please don't ask stupid questions. :)
does it play Wii U?
Retroachievements working on this device?
Yup
Does it look good with TH-cam and streaming movies?
TH-cam works good but I had issues with Netflix with app store saying it needs to be a registered device.
@@DaveyG awesome man thanks! Also, do you know if it’ll run Wii U games?
Can you play xbox360 games online?
Where can I buy
Link in description
where is the full review that is mentioned, I cant seem to find where the link is?
😂 still working on it, I'll link it when it's done this week. I've been sick the last two weeks.
No worries, i look forward to it. Sorry to hear your I’ll mate, hope you feel better soon.
The console come with daishijo?
No but it's free to download from the app store
@@DaveyG thx
Expecially 😂
Isn’t that an anbernic?
Can u play vita games
How pocketable is it compared to something like a psp?
It's like a switch lite, but bit smaller.
about the same size id say
Can it play games like mario and contra?
Please don't ask stupid questions. :)
Does anyone know if the Pocket 4 pro comes with pre installed games on it from retried website?
Well no and you obviously should not expect unless some kind partnership between the manufactor and some publisher like Starfield key being given together with a AMD gpu.
that would be illegal
What about wii?
I've been playing Tatsunoko vs Capcom. It does really well but make sure you turn on performance mode to smooth out the frame rates. Every Wii game I've tried using performance mode has ran smoothly.
Is the form too small to be comfortable for more than a few minutes, though? 🤔
No
What about xbox og 360 one ?
Xbox runs good and 360 I would stick to streaming for.
It this or the anbernic rg556
Hall effect joystick use magnets instead of springs? Wtf?
Nes , snes , Sega mega drive supported ?
Please don't ask stupid questions. :)
Y atari 2600
Can’t you show us how to set up yuzu
No, Nintendo won't allow it...
@@suhtangwong nah bro it’s good 👍 it was easier to set up than I thought 😅
rip
Can it play steam?
no
It can use moonlight and streaming services but not steam directly. It's front end is android.
Price?
$199 for the pro $150 for the base model
We can play any Pokémon????
Likely not switch, but it should be able to handle everything else. 3DS might be glitchy. So yes!
*WRONG PINNED VIDEO*
😂 I didn't have it up yet. Just swapped it

"HAPPY2024" coupon code for $4 off.
In the description!
this came too late. odin 2 is the king. the bar has been set too high. For $200 in needs to do more and do them better.
Does the battery drain even on sleep mode?
Yes, but better than the 3+. This one is now like android standby on a phone.
Retroid really needs to recognize that everyone buying these for 3d games and that left stick needs to be on top now. Made sense at a lower power level to have dpad up there but clearly if someone wants to mostly focus on 2d games they will get something cheaper at this point
For this price i would take steam deck
The Steam Deck is double the price and not everyone wants a device so big
I know I’m in the minority but…
I get nauseous when I see people Emulate Switch Games
Just go & buy them people!!
& don’t steal Indie games, most Indie Dev teams are made up of a handful of people that are pouring there heart & soul into there game
u cant buy switch games in this
I won't by the most underpowered console that you can get new. I don't care about pirating indies cause I own the ones I like on Steam not paying twice for the same game
You are in denial if you think I will pay $60 for a 4 to 5 years old game, if it's an exclusive that is, since switch games are basically the full Wii U library and a lot of remasters. And badly emulated games themselves like the mario collection.
GameCube look stretched
he did that in his settings for some reason.
Reviewer with 2x and squeezed sceen on gamecube.. ugh.
It's surprisingly disappointing
X?pecially 😂
Can it play ffxiv
Csn it play fortnite
is there a reason why nobody ever mentions Xbox when it comes to handheld emulators?
Because you can stream the games...and he DID mention them
It's about 200 dollars btw. Tbh i would just save for a Steam Deck
Steam deck can’t play switch better than an arm device do
@@mkel91The steam deck is superior to any arm device at running switch games, ive no idea where you got it wasn't.
Yeah, just chip in another $200 on top of your $200, that's no biggie. It's free money
@@suhtangwong Yeah for a far more powerful device
Looks cheap
The triggers are analog, who would have knew 😂😂😂
Digital triggers: on or off
Analog triggers: on or off + it senses the travel on L/R buttons.
The price 📈📈📈
I'd spend an extra 400 dollars and get an asus strix laptop
then do it
Or just get a controller for your phone and emulate up to Nintendo switch, Xbox, PS3 and pretty much anything unless you have a crap phone all for 50 dollars and you have a way better screen and it's easier to use .. I still can't believe people still buy these underpowered overpriced handheld emulators when you have the best emulator you can get and every mostly already has one
Because most people like to have a dedicated console for that stuff. And not a bunch of shit on their phone.
El telefono recalienta y no tiene ventilador, no se conecta a la tv como estas portatiles de bolsillo
EX-pecially 🤮
The price for this is 200 bucks, i prefer to get a switch lite instead.
With a Switch lite you can't emulate nothing unless you know how to jailbreak it
Block this guy
Proof? 🤔
I call cap on the 3ds game
Piracy
This or the rg556?
