I could totally see AJ picking up a win next year, I would say Road America would be his best shot (won there in xfinity for Penske a while back). One seat where we differ is CGR. I see JHN in the 1 next year, however, the funding issues you mentioned may get in the way of that. Personally I think that’s the seat with the most uncertainty assuming KB leaves.

@@racefan7296 also i dont think joe gibbs will but his grandson ty in a different team thats not joe gibbs i think joe j wants him to be in the Joe gibbs stable
I predict that Ty will and should run for at least one Xfinity Championship before he races in one of the four JGR Cup teams for the rest of his career.
This might sound crazy but here who I think/want to be in these cars. #2 - Ryan Blaney #12 - Austin Cindric #21 - Ryan Newman #6 - Brad Keselowski #10 - Matt DiBenedetto #1 - Daniel Hemric 2nd 23XI - Kurt Busch 2nd TrackHouse - Aric Almirola Kaulig #16 - Kaz Grala Spire #77 - Justin Haley Ryan Preece to Penske Xfinity Series
Keselowski understands the importance of having a feeder program with rides in the lower series, he was very big on that with his Truck Series team, BKR, and helped develop Cindric and Blaney up into their XFINITY races for Penske as well, I expect Roush to remain a 2 car team in Cup, but perhaps also open 1-2 cars/trucks in XFINITY and Trucks, and I would expect Brad to race his allowed 5 races a season to help those teams shake down their racecars.
I want to say the least. There will be a lot of moving pieces like always. I will say as far as my predictions go. 1) Chip Ganassi Racing will downsize to one car and Ross Chastain driving. 2) Austin Cindric will be in the 2 while Matt DiBenedetto stays in the 21 car for the Wood Bros. 3) Kurt Busch will be in the 32 car for 23XI Racing, AJ Allmendinger and Justin Haley will remain at Kaulig Racing. Ricky Stenchhouse will be at TrackHouse
I agree. Alex is getting better and better. Hes no kyle larson by anymeans but alex bowman is better than alot of the other potential canidates and alex is at least making the playoffs each year.
I also do not think Jr Motorsports moves to Cup. I think in the long term Jeff Gordon and JR both end up as part owners of Hendrick (of course Gordon already has part ownership of the 48...or the 5). JR would be the figurehead of the operation to bring in the money with others running the company (maybe Kelly?). I believe that BK is out of the 2 car this year and that the plan has always been that Cindric would run the car but Penske announced the 21 car as a backup just case BK ended up staying. If BK does end up with an ownership stake in Rousch Fenway then I think is the beginning of Rousch leaving the sport.
Playing the "where does Kurt Busch land" game has been a lot of fun the last couple of months, and the Ganassi/Trackhouse news only makes it more enticing. One scenario I never thought of though is what if Kurt runs JR motorsports cup car? Dale gives little hints here and there about favoring Kurt, to talking about having him in fantasy or expectations on how he'll run. Jr definitely pays attention at least. I think it's almost certain that it doesn't happen, but can't say it couldn't!
I see two possibilities for Ryan Newman: 1. Trackhouse second car. I know you predicted Kaz Grala but I think new team, new car, go with a veteran. 2. If Newman does retire I could see him start a winged sprint car team. He's an Indiana boy, grew up around the dirt tracks and raced USAC in his younger years.
I know JR said now or never but I just don’t see that being the case. You mean the most popular driver of the past 20 years owns a team in NASCAR but it’s not in the Cup series? It obviously may not be next year but it’ll happen eventually.
Hendrick Motorsports and JR Motorsports have a good thing going with each other, so I don’t think that “now or never” is really the case. It would be “now or never” if Dale Earnhardt Jr were interested in breaking away from Hendrick and doing his own thing, but he always seems happy where he is. JR Motorsports will go Cup racing when opportunities present themselves (maybe full time, maybe part time). JR Motorsports may even field a fifth Hendrick car in the Cup Series at some point. However, I think the most likely way that Dale Earnhardt Jr becomes a Cup Series owner is as a minority owner of Hendrick Motorsports (possibly as part of a deal to bring Jeff Gordon into the JR Motorsports ownership group).
McMurray back in the 1 car?? That would be fun (I know it’s unrealistic). Hopefully Newman gets a ride. I like seeing him out there. We need to keep some of the “older” fellas out there. He could be helpful for a new team.
If jr motor sports is going into cup. It would not be a surprise if they align with Hendricks. It makes sense since their drivers went through jr motor sports before going into cup. Plus it also could give Hendricks more drivers to use.
I like the idea of Justin Haley in the #1, but based on your analysis, I also could see him going to the #10, and Ganassi taking Almirola for the #1. Smithfield brand loyalty could be very valuable to them, and if Almirola doesn't improve in the 2nd half of the season, I don't see SHR resigning him without SERIOUS team changes.
@@williambrant3214 He never ran the 17 in cup. He ran a couple of races in the 98 for premium in 2015 before his first full time season in 2019 for jtg with rookie stripes.
Trackhouse might be in luck with Ryan Newman. He's extremely consistent and may give them a leg up on setting these new cars up. I want to see that team and Suarez succeed.
I would assume because of his results in the number 6, which isn't really indicative of Newman. Fenway Sports group was a bad partner and Roush has not been the same since they teamed up.
I don't disagree with any of the silly season predictions. I had the same predictions in mind. JRM would most likely not go to Cup next year but if they did in the near future, Justin Allgaier would be my choice as well.
If not Justin Allgaier then I can honestly see and this of course if he doesn't take over Ryan Newman's ride but my pick is Brad K reuniting with Dale Jr at JRM knowing that Jr was the one Brad drove for when he came up through the ranks.
Last year you shared the statistical advantage of experienced drivers vs new/young drivers. Ryan Newman brings the same experience as Kurt Bush so Newman won't retire, he will be in the 42 to mentor Ross Chastain.
This is something that Alan Nadeau mentioned, but if these teams were to join or expand their team with a charter, then Rick Ware Racing will have to give up on their charters. Imagine Rick Ware Racing being gone in the Cup Series after so many teams wanted to expand or join in. I’m interested to see what the 2022 driver lineup will look like.
If I'm any driver I'd be talking to Trackhouse if they are planning on starting a 2nd team. They have done an incredible job with Daniel Suarez this year and I can see them doing great next year.
I would love it if Kurt went to 23XI and Trackhouse chooses Brett Moffitt. The latter has been passed up for so many rides over the years and joining Trackhouse would be a great opportunity
I think that a team like RFR, JGR, or CGR might retain an existing experienced driver like Newman or others for helping to "further" develop the Gen 7 car. This would help teams transition quicker.

I'd love to see an unchartered team win a championship in 2022
I think personally Noah gragson goes to the 1 next season if busch leaves he has sponsorship and he brings some aggression to the team
a team of Gragson and Chastain would be… Something.
Hhahhahaha No the kid Dangerous Need more work before going to cup
Track house adds Ty Dillion for their second car as u said they already have that technical alliance with RCR so that makes more since frfr
Performance wise I think it makes more sense for Kurt to go to Trackhouse.
For me 2311 racing is a good spot cause the more teammates the more information you will have to improve your skills on the tracks and not to mention it would be nice for kurt and Kyle to work together for the 1st time
I don't think Bubba is getting the most out of that car though honestly
@@MitchCollins15 he has the speed its just bad luck and pit calls and if kurt goes to 2311 and help bubba not just kurt but bubba will get better with the next gen car
If Almirola leaves the 10 car so does Smithfield
Exactly
Heres my thing, if ganassi needs funding, he might not have alot of talent, but noah gragson, while a bold prediction, is possible. kurt drives the 97 at trackhouse, hamlin or ty Gibbs go to 23XI and the other goes to the 11 at joe gibbs.
Hamlin has a multi year contract extension and so does is sponsor FedEx
@@Cloudy341blade oh that kinda why I put one or the other either gibbs or hamlin but that's good to know thx
Ganassi should really consider JHN, he might be the best driver not in the Cup Series and he already has driven for Ganassi in the xfinity series.
I've been saying this for a long time. It's super similar to Chastain where they both drove for Ganassi in xfinity and both win
I think he's wants to be with the Toyota camp, even he got to run a Xfinity Gibbs team
This might sound crazy but here who I think/want to be in these cars.
#2 - Ryan Blaney
#12 - Austin Cindric
#21 - Ryan Newman
#6 - Brad Keselowski
#10 - Matt DiBenedetto
#1 - Daniel Hemric
2nd 23XI - Kurt Busch
2nd TrackHouse - Aric Almirola
Kaulig #16 - Kaz Grala
Spire #77 - Justin Haley
Ryan Preece to Penske Xfinity Series
If almindinger or grala goes to to cup series, I would love to see either Zane smith or Noah Gragson take over the other xfinity car.
I can see Zane Smith taking over the 16 in xfinity tbh
Noah Gragson is such a little punk. The only reason anyone likes him or even tolerates him is that he drives for Earnhardt.
Eric, my diecast new diecast season has Justin Haley driving the 1 car and Dibenedetto driving the 2 car so it's basically a silly season 4 me lol
That would be great but it's unrealistic
Team Estrogen will be the new team on the block. The owner, Caitlyn, with Deegan and Decker driving will dominate for years.
They'll share the 69 car
Keselowski understands the importance of having a feeder program with rides in the lower series, he was very big on that with his Truck Series team, BKR, and helped develop Cindric and Blaney up into their XFINITY races for Penske as well, I expect Roush to remain a 2 car team in Cup, but perhaps also open 1-2 cars/trucks in XFINITY and Trucks, and I would expect Brad to race his allowed 5 races a season to help those teams shake down their racecars.
What if Kurt Busch goes to 23XI, couldn't Newman slide into the 1?
Maybe Trackhouse, since they recently bought out Ganassi Racing for 2022 and beyond
Bowman will sign at least a 3 year deal
I agree. Alex is getting better and better. Hes no kyle larson by anymeans but alex bowman is better than alot of the other potential canidates and alex is at least making the playoffs each year.
Eric Estepp to the 48 rumors restart
@@johnhaas2523 No.
I've signed on for a 22nd consecutive year as Nascar couch fan for 2022
I see two possibilities for Ryan Newman:
Newman needs to retire. All he does is block people and cause wrecks
Shr should get Preece, he has a strong connection just look at the truck team his running for this weekend
I think he will try to do a Nematruck and run full time in trucks next year and try to work his way back to cup.
If jr motor sports is going into cup. It would not be a surprise if they align with Hendricks. It makes sense since their drivers went through jr motor sports before going into cup. Plus it also could give Hendricks more drivers to use.
@@johnhaas2523 I agree, if JRM are entering the cup series. That would help them greatly. Like with Stewart-Haas when they were a Chevy team.
Preece signed a 3 year deal as a rookie so unless he has signed a new deal since then this is the last year of his contract.
But he was a rookie in the 17 car?
@@williambrant3214 He never ran the 17 in cup. He ran a couple of races in the 98 for premium in 2015 before his first full time season in 2019 for jtg with rookie stripes.
@@noloh1386 yep no excuse on that error maybe I was having a I'm an idiot day
Trackhouse might be in luck with Ryan Newman. He's extremely consistent and may give them a leg up on setting these new cars up. I want to see that team and Suarez succeed.
Honestly I’m surprised no one else has said this yet Trackhouse could use a driver like Newman with experience
Or maybe Jr comes out of retirement for a year to drive the new cars which is why he stressed now or never
@@shawnporterjr2890 Possibly but I don't see this happening, imo.

@@johnhaas2523 Dude. It's MY prediction. We're allowed to have opinions here bud
I think Ty Dillon might be in the 2nd Trackhouse car
Hopefully it’s Erik Jones
I like ty dillon but trackhouse needs someone with more talent.
Junior may not leave Xfinity next year but in 2 or 3 years his team will be with the big boys.
Noah Gragson to Track house would be pretty exciting. Two drivers that can fight.
Have fun at Nashville Eric!!!
GMS racing "you forgot about me!!"
Silly season prediction shows are my favourite shows!
I better see you at the truck race Eric! I'm just past the Start/Finish line
If I'm any driver I'd be talking to Trackhouse if they are planning on starting a 2nd team. They have done an incredible job with Daniel Suarez this year and I can see them doing great next year.
Preece needs a good ride he is a good driver
LOL
I would love it if Kurt went to 23XI and Trackhouse chooses Brett Moffitt. The latter has been passed up for so many rides over the years and joining Trackhouse would be a great opportunity
After I finished this video I got a notification for it
Same
I wouldn’t be surprised if 6 car turns into 29
If Brad races the 29 I would imagine that the 17 is the car that turns into the 29 and Buescher just moves over the 6.
I think that a team like RFR, JGR, or CGR might retain an existing experienced driver like Newman or others for helping to "further" develop the Gen 7 car. This would help teams transition quicker.
The question is how will each team perform in the new era?
