Preece is a DAWG. Average running position bumped something like 2 to 3 positions after Pocono this season. Knows how to drive a variety of tracks. Genuinely a very very nice guy. The disrespect is CRAZY.
I’m glad Preece is finally getting a chance in good Cup equipment.People often seem to overlook the fact that back in 2017 he missed a couple races still almost won the championship in the modified tour that year.
I 100% agree with you. He is no spoiled rich kid with money they got him here. Nascar fans especially the older fans should appreciate the way he got here. Working his butt off. I think he'll do decent his first year but hopefully they keep him long enough to show people what he can do. He has proven with good equipment he can win.
Huge congratulations to RFK Racing and Ryan Preece. This announcement was the longest running worst kept secret in the garage, but now that it's official I'm super excited for the '25 season to get here. Next up, Jeremy Bullins reuniting with BK.
I thought Preece was doing well in Xfinity and was glad when he went to Cup. I always thought he was a very good driver (even if he was not in good equipment), and I think he will show how good he is with RFK.

Preece in a good car is dangerous at any short track and Nashville. Honestly with win and in, I wouldn't be surprised with all three RFK cars in the playoffs.
Brad Keselowski has a habit of picking great up and coming talent. There was one guy, I can't remember his name, but he was given an opportunity at a big time team and was basically fired and Brad convinced his boss at the time to give him a chance and now the guy is a three time cup series champion. Hate him or love him, Brad picked a winner. And I believe he's done it again.
Eric being a Buescher fan, I can remember so many fans saying the same stuff about Chris, and when they got the cars turned around at RFK he showed why Brad had confidence in him. He and Chris work really well together so that is a big plus.
Smoke wanted Ryan Preece for his dedication and real world experience. I can see Brad K wanting him for the same. I’m a Jack Roush fan from day one, a Ford fan first and a Brad K fan since he started. Brad is good at picking good drivers. RFK Racing is where it’s at for me.
These Kroger schemes look amazing! Especially with the blue and white! Also nice to see Preece and Buescher reunite together since they were teammates in ‘19 for JTG Racing!
I believe Ryan needs a fair shot, and am all for RFK putting him in a good car for a few years to see how he does. The problem is a good driver will over achieve when in below average equipment. Preece has not done that at any of his stops. There’s a lot of drivers that can do what he did when in good equipment.
I believe preece is a good driver but you have to have every piece in place and chemistry for the team to be competitive, fingers crossed it works out for him this time
My expectation is for him to finish top 20 in points. Not necessarily make the playoffs, but I think he should be able to finish somewhere in that 17th-20th area in points
Brad K has a fantastic eye for driving talent.. Look at the drivers that came out of his truck stable! He even saw the Joey had the talent to win after what happened at Gibbs.. Look at Joey now? Ryan Preece is a wheelman! It gives Ford and RFK even more alliance at the Super Speedways, I think he will at least fight for a Top 20 in Points and could contend for some wins. Awesome deal for RFK and Preece!
With RFK leasing from RWR where are the 2 charters from SHR going? The 4 from 23XI + Front Row are basically defunct now. So where are #31 + #32 going?
I trust that Brad Keselowski is a good judge of talent and we have seen the turn around at RFK so I trust his decision in adding Ryan Preece in the #60
I just think it's crazy how teams have looked over Justin Allgaier all these years for a cup ride. Hell right now he's only 3 years older than Greg Biffle when he was a cup rookie. Penske picked Stremme over Justin and he has never had a fair shot since
I'm happy that Ryan Preece is going to RFK racing. I wish him the best of luck and I can't wait for the new NASCAR season. I wonder what they going to do with the playoffs this offseason too.
I'm honestly rooting for Preece. I'm a big fan of RFK, they're my favorite Ford team. I've always found Preece a bit of a quiet driver the whole time I've known him. Hopefully he can get his shot with RFK. I'm praying he gets at least top 20 with maybe a win

100% agree on Preece. After we just spent 2 weeks dissing Logano for nothing but winning, you get a driver that's got great stats, but then people want to know where are the wins? The fandom has become a pretty negative place. BTW, LaJoie would likely be more popular if he embraced his CT roots, where the name LaJoie is legendary.
#60 Is A NASCAR Staple Number And with this RFK equipment I Believe Preece will make the top 15 at season end and let's throw a win or more. the Teamwork between #6, #17, #60 will be GREAT AGAIN
Eric, I think you're kind of simplifying the things fans say sometimes. Obviously we want to see self-made drivers succeed, but when you see Preece go out every week and spin with 10 to go, its hard to be excited about THAT self-made guy. That statement doesn't mean we cheer for those guys no matter what, they do still need to actually be good. And I don't think the modified record and the trucks/xfinity record really hold up when he's been so bad in cup. Sometimes guys who are great in the lower series end up being bad at the cup series, it happens.
I agree with your defense of Preece. I understand that he hasn't had great performance in Cup, and that's a fair criticism. But the counterarguments about the level of the equipment was equally valid. Preece obviously can drive a race car, at least at the Xfinity level. He will finally get a better shot at succeeding in Cup next year, but he will have to perform. People forget that multiple factors go into these decisions. The sponsor and manufacturer have input. Preece may be a good fit for the current RFK lineup in terms of his personality and his style of driving. I think a guy like Brad appreciates guys who worked their way up like Preece did without having huge money behind him. Preece seems like a no-nonsense type which probably also is a good fit. Plus, he has a good amount of experience. Brad has good judgement. He stuck with Buescher when he didn't have to. He knew things about Buescher and his driving that us spectators didn't see, like having good awareness on track, when to take smart risks, and getting to the end of races. I liked his decision to keep Buescher, even before it paid off. The same arguments made against Preece could have applied to Buescher. So I think it's a reasonable signing. But, as I said, Preece has to make the most of it now.
I hope that BOTH Todd and Ryan will perform even better next season, since those two have just got promoted: Todd in the flagship FRM car (yeah sure, the 38 is also good, but the 34 seems to have the higher priority at Front Row), and then Preece in RFK (yeah, that's in general).
Agree with what you said fully. He’s never had a good cup ride and he deserves a shot. Top 20 in points sounds about right. Depending on how well RFK is, I’d say 2-3 spots below the worse of Buescher/Brad would be a successful season for him.
Preece is going to break all sorts of records next year. I would bet money on it. Most DNF’s recorded in a single season, most finishes outside the top 30 and most penalties. HOF numbers.
I agree Eric Ryan is a dam good driver .I drive late model and know how hard it is to get a shot .He will do better than both rfk drivers next year .love the show
I can’t wait to see what he can do in that equipment! They said at the tire test when he was in the 60, they said he was super fast. I think this is a huge win for everybody at RFK
Which parts and "equipment " will preece have now that he didn't have with SHR? Can you name one single piece of equipment, or are you just talking out of your ass?
23XI & RFK Racing in 2025 now have their 3rd full time car like Hendrick Motorsports... This could get real interesting with Preece driving the #60 and Herbst driving the #35 23XI Racing Machine.
There's an argument for most of the midpack/rear end drivers being a lot better than they get credit for. People seem to forget at times that being in those areas leads to you get involved in way more wrecks than normal. Ive seen some people call Preece a wreck magnet, but everyone (even down to Cody Ware) would be involved in less wrecks if they had the space that the front of the pack is able to get. If every race was ran like a superspeedway with bumper to bumper, 2 to 4 wide, top speed traffic, everyones DNF stats would skyrocket. Preece deserves atleast 2 years to actually show what he can do. 1 to get comfortable, and for the #60 to find its footing as a team, and another where he just has to go out and show that theyre building off of something from the previous year. I don't think hes gonna be a consistent playoff contender, but I do see him as being sort of Brad's replacement. Brad and Chris contrast perfectly skill wise, with Brad being much better on the Supers and Shorts, while Chris is arguably the best Road Course driver in Cup atm (where Brad really struggles), and theyre both fantastic intermediate guys. Preece has always been a good short track guy, and he has ran well at supers even if the results don't always show. I 100% see him (assuming he performs to the standard needed) taking the reigns in a sense from Brad, with a younger prospect driver taking the #6 when that happens so RFK has a franchise driver to build around once Chris retires.
I think this is going to be a great fit .Ryan is a hard core racer Smoke picked him for Kurt's replacement and Kevin has nothing but good to say about him and I think Brad was smart to pick him too I see him running top 15 just like Josh and Noah going to be nice to watch these guys continue to grow!!
It was NASCAR that cut Jack Roush from 5 teams to 4 teams. They made the rule that no team could have more than 4 because Jack had 5 teams in the playoffs.
Hello Eric, I wanted to react about your statement on Ryan Preece, and I must say : while his results were promising in the lower divisions, it doesn't necessarily translate into a great cup future, even with good equipment. Erik Jones, Daniel Suarez, Ricky Stenhouse and so on are good examples of that. So while I can understand that Preece hasn't got in any good equipement, I'm still a little bit dubious on what he can do behind in Cup, I'll wait before praising.
Wait so let me try to keep track of the charters here: SHR had four and theyre shutting down. The 41 stays owned by Gene Haas as Haas factory team, driver Cole Custer. The second goes to Trackhouse to become the 88 for SVG. The third might be sold to FRM, or that deal might be falling though because of the lawsuit. And we all thought the fourth charter was going to be bough by RFK, but since they are leasing from, RWR instead that is still up in the air too. Who do you think gets these last two, since FRM and 23XI are out of the picture. Not to mention the 4 current FRM and 23XI charters are in legal limbo, so there are currently 6 charters we don't know what is happening with.
Keselowski brought engineering excellence to RFK. His company Keselowski Advanced Manufacturing does some really high end shit, and I wouldn't be surprised if they get involved with RFK at times.
Todd Gilliland in the 34 opens up the 38 for Zane Smith. Allow me to remind you, that is the same number he had in trucks with FRM. Lastly, 4+34=38. Great moves all around for the team.
What a whirlwind of a career for Todd. The poor guy went from being kicked out of his own ride in the middle of the season, to now the leading franchise driver with the main sponsor for the same team.
Went down like Supreme Scream, but shot up like the Maliboomer to gain a good spot

Well I trust Brad's judgement given the talent he's picked over the years
Love Brad, Chris and RFK couldn't agree with you more about Ryan Preece!
Yeah Preece is a great driver
I hope that BOTH Todd and Ryan will perform even better next season, since those two have just got promoted: Todd in the flagship FRM car (yeah sure, the 38 is also good, but the 34 seems to have the higher priority at Front Row), and then Preece in RFK (yeah, that's in general).
I watched Preece in modified. I was shocked when he came to Cup. I have been amazed at how he has done.
Agree with what you said fully. He’s never had a good cup ride and he deserves a shot. Top 20 in points sounds about right. Depending on how well RFK is, I’d say 2-3 spots below the worse of Buescher/Brad would be a successful season for him.
Preece is pretty dam good folks. Bad Brad gonna make sure he’s got goood cars 👍
Happy Belated Eric …. Hope all is achieved this year
Preece still runs well and wins in the modified tour, he also won an arca west race at Sonoma last year
I do recall seeing Preece (when he was in the #37 cup car) getting a good handful of top 15s.
I think preece will be a dark-horse candidate for the playoffs. I’m not saying he’s a lock, but I think he has a chance.
Preece is a lot more consistent than people realize, it’s just that he was always around 15-25.
Tony picked him to replace Cole Custer
It was NASCAR that cut Jack Roush from 5 teams to 4 teams. They made the rule that no team could have more than 4 because Jack had 5 teams in the playoffs.
I'm with you Sir. Ryan will not SUCK next year and that limb cracking behind me is he Will win a race next year at Nashville or Talladega.
Happy belated birthday.
Thanks for keeping me updated.
Hello Eric,
I wanted to react about your statement on Ryan Preece, and I must say : while his results were promising in the lower divisions, it doesn't necessarily translate into a great cup future, even with good equipment.
Erik Jones, Daniel Suarez, Ricky Stenhouse and so on are good examples of that. So while I can understand that Preece hasn't got in any good equipement, I'm still a little bit dubious on what he can do behind in Cup, I'll wait before praising.
Nice move , good luck Ryan Preece 😊
Lets go New England!
Chris and Ryan reunited with Kroger once again
2025 is going to be wild. Cant wait for clash😁😁😁
Todd Gilliland in the 34 opens up the 38 for Zane Smith. Allow me to remind you, that is the same number he had in trucks with FRM. Lastly, 4+34=38. Great moves all around for the team.
