I’m noticing you hold your yarn the same way my grandma taught me 70 years. She always kept her hands busy making doilies and I have many of them. I’m 76.
Hi laurel I'm an older crocheter too 74 this year.its a wonderful hobby I crochet for charity here in ireland.happy crocheting.💝💝
I hold my yarn the same way as well. I will be 61 in 2 weeks. My mom and I looked at a book on Crocheting, and that was the suggested technique.
I also hold my yarn the same way. I am 71 and was taught by nuns in my sewing class in my first year in high-school.
I hold my yarn the same way. One of my mother's friends taught me about 54 years ago. I just couldn't imagine holding it any other way.
I hold my hook the same way too, my Nonna in Italy showed me 47 years ago when I would go the summers in Italy to see my Grandparents, all my grandparents lived in Italy and most of my cousins too, I was born in Canada, I am 62
I just recently found you and I have been binge watching your videos. You are an excellent teacher.

Hi Jennifer. Very pretty scarf. I love your color choices and layout. Really lovely! I join my yarn like you do. I actually think I learned it from you, lol. I do this on the ends when starting a new color. I find it clean and neat and not bulky. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial!💞

What a beautiful scarf and lovely colors! I've done a lot of projects following your patterns. I haven't done this ripple stitch yet but it was already on my list. Now it's probably going to be my next project, I just have to decide in what colors and yarn. Thanks Jennifer, I always love your tutorials! 🥰 Greetings from Portugal!

Hi Jennifer, I got the substitute yarn for this project and I just love how it's turning out.
I purchased the yarn and I started 4 times. I was so confused. Don't know why. It's worked out great. Thanks
I like this ripple pattern. I wonder how it would work up with mandala yarn? 🤔
love this pattern. Am I wrong but is the 1st row UK dc and the 2nd row US dc.
I wonder if this would look nice in one solid color?
Have you tried watching the many left handed crochet tuts out there
14:41 start row 2
Am I the only one that had to change the multiples from 10+2 to 10+3 when I tried the multiples of 10+2 I always only ended with three chains. It was not enough?
When I get to the end I only have 5 chains left, not 6 like the written pattern says. I'm so confused
No, you’re not the only one. If it’s 10+2, then maybe it’s starting in the second chain rather than third(?). I just did 10+3 and it worked. 😊
While chaining do a few extra chains and when you get it right, just unravel the extra ones. That works well.
Me too. I thought I was losing it lol. Thankful I was finally able to figure it out!
I have the same problem. Tried couple of times and decided to add one more chain to it.
Is is possibel to say how many grams of yarn instead og yards?
She said each ball of yarn equals 50 grams
They do not have the crochet furl hook with the steel end like yours on that link
It’s the odyssey hook. They might not make it anymore. Also, fwiw-I bought that hook and found it to be too heavy to work with.
sorry dear but i follow your instructions multiple of 10 plus 2 chain at the end of the first row i don't have 4 chain left but just 3, could you check again your instructions? it seems like this should be multiple of 10 plus 3 chain and then third chain from wook, is that correct?
Did you end up doing 10 + 3 and that works? I’m getting ready to begin and I am changing the size also.
exactly. I frogged my work twice and couldn't figure out where I went wrong (after repeatedly counting). I thought I was going crazy.🙃
@@socgrrrl Thank you so much for your response! Greatly appreciated!!!!
So is it multiples of 10 + 3 ??
i think so, at least i did like that :)

How many balls of yarn does this take to make
984 yards.....to compete the project.
As a left handed person I find crocheting hard
There are a few tutorials for the left handed
