- Today Melissa and I did some work with Kubota BX23S and the MX 5400, We used pallet forks, Front loader, Mid Mount Mower and Land Plane to organize and dress up a spot by the new woodshed.

Mike, your years of experience operating equipment shows every time you get in the seat. Smooth, purposeful, precise and no wasted movements. Nice rig as well. Mike & Melissa - Another winner. Great to see RC back again. She seems to know when to turn her head toward the camera. Couldn't believe I was seeing mowing done with a bucket on the front and a backhoe behind. It works, and the machine looks very stable (I think I heard Melissa say something about a Ninja?). Always enjoy watching Mike spread rock so evenly - you are an artist sir. I like the sign for the Woodshed, and Hunter, you did a great job helping your Mom show off that new sign. That WOOD SHED sign is great! Mike...laying down a 3" stone base & adding a 2B topper. That was put down so neatly, right up tight to the wood shed...well done! If you come to Eastern Missouri, I'd let you do that to lengthen a driveway from beside my garage to a shed. 😄👍 It's always fun seeing Melissa enjoying driving a tractor! She loves it and I enjoy seeing her getting such a kick outa doing it... shorts, boots and a continual smile!! 😄😎 Way to go Melissa!!!👍

Mike, I learn a lot about operating a large tractor while watching your videos. Just something as simple as lowering the bucket instead of tilting the bucket to stream your gravel evenly gave me a good tip. Thanks!!

LMAO the first few times Melissa ran back and forth I thought she doesn't have the bucket down low enough if she is skimming the grass off then I noticed the mower was cutting the grass DOH!!! 😮
Wish I had extra cash for that Kubota... as I've got some trenching, light grading and gravel to spread.
With the lockdown and not knowing what our new normal is sort of puts the brakes buying something like that.
After having a Total Shoulder replacement a year and a half ago and my left knee replaced 8 weeks ago has taught me that I am not up to digging trenches by hand any more as Arthritis, chronic pain and age keep getting in the way.

After working on our lawn for the past 20+ years, I cringe when I saw that sod being peeled off, but the end result will be much better suited to your needs and that is what it is all about.
It was good seeing the BX mow. Looks like it cuts really well and evenly. That was one task I always wanted see Sherman do, but never did.

I'm bummed about that too. He had the RKs for 2 years and said on several occasions he would show the MMM in action on the RK24 but never did.
Has the Kubotas for 2 weeks and already using the MMM.
Nice job on putting down the rock. I'm still waiting on my barn to be finished, but after it's done, I'll need to rock an area for my trailers and tractor attachments too. I just hope I can do as nice a job as you did. Love the wood shed - I'm going to have to build one of those as well. Love all the things you are doing. Giving me some great ideas for the ranch. Mike and Melissa, great job with the mowing, sod removal and rock placement! Melissa, you're doing great on the new tractor! Mike - from one (former) operator to another - you've got some great skills - especially with establishing a level pad and spreading rock. Much respect and mesmerizing to watch. Have you ever considered doing some basic "how to" videos for folks who are learning to operate tractors? Simple things like scooping material from a pile, removing sod, loading a trailer, back blading, etc.? Keep up the good work!

The loader and the backhoe come off of the 23 so easy ! It would be worth it to take it off even for an hour or two of mowing. It mows so much better.

I think you have the perfect combination of tractors for whatever reason you have needs of what you will be doing around there. With the attachments you have you are pretty well set up. It is good to be out in the open. We have astroturf, plastic decking, plastic topped table (recycled bottles). 6 foot high fencing but we do grow trees ....exotic ones from Tasmania Dickensonia Antarctica now 8 feet tall. We also have Chausan Palm now very valuable as it is 18 feet tall. Thanks for your channel which I watch whilst having my lunch. Love the new puppy. Keep up the channel it keeps this 80 year old getting regular lunches.
