That's always been a feature of Nintendo's E3 presence that I have enjoyed. Imagine if we could have gotten 20 minutes of Avengers following that big prerendered hype trailer.
I like that they still show for gameplay during the main E3 like Ultimate Alliance looks more interesting to me than the other big budget Marvel game that looks like the movies, has all the big name VAs, is very cinematic, and just... Safe.
The little logo at the bottom was a great addition! Bevause before I always checked what will be in the treehouse after the direct. Glad we are able to know in the direct itself.

While I’m enjoying rewatching their reaction of this Nintendo e3 direct, I’m back at the part they announced Trials of Mana and the Collection of Mana, and I just love how shocked and happy Blood was about that announcement haha! I mean, I’m now in the middle of the following video package showing Fire Emblem Three Houses, and you can tell that Blood can’t stop thinking about the Mana games, totally distracted and not paying attention to FE, while continuing to ask Ben questions about it. I love seeing them all get really pumped, and into their own different video game preferences. The excitement is the best part of these reactions!
I sent him the ost to Secret of Mana one year, and he went into this story about how he had recorded the music off of his tv when he first played it, lol. And...its been like 24-5 years we've been waiting for a western release.

Kinda surprised by the response to Animal Crossing. It was pretty clear to me right away when they said you were flying to a deserted island that you are building a village from the ground up on an island. Which to feels like a nice way of refreshing the series without abandoning the core feel.

What many of you don't know is, CD Projekt Red is putting the entire Witcher 3 game and DLC's onto one cartridge. Before anyone says 'No way a single cartridge can hold all of that', the highest space a Switch cartridge can go is up to 32 Gigabytes, with a 64 Gigabyte one coming out late 2019.
An AI controlled Zelda co-op with player controlled Link or vice versa exploring big ass dungeons would be amazing. So big that they have to prepare with tons of supplies, carried by what a huge animal. But that would be really hard to accomplish, especially where puzzles are concerned. But I think Nintendo would love such a challenge.
That would be really fun. And apparently the director said that they would want him to be focused more on his wrestling moves than the beam katana, which would mean that the jerk-off gesture he makes to recharge it wouldn't be important (and could be easily changed)

the design on it looks zonai to me. the were a powerful magic-using tribe who worked with the sheikah to destroy ganon so i wouldn't be surprised if it's their sealing magic. they are, after all, down in a cave system full of zonai ruins.

I think the guys are getting a bit ahead of themselves with the playable Zelda theories. It like they saw Zelda alive and not captured for thirty seconds, immediately lept to the conclusion of 'playable Zelda', and all of their analysis and theorycrafting from that point was just them riffing on that theme (is it coop?, is Link captured?, do you choose one of them at the beginning a'la Dishonored 2?) I want to see a playable Zelda as much as the next guy, but committing yourself to one line of thinking based on VERY little information is basically asking for disappointment once reality doesn't match the very specific vision of what you built up in your own head.
Love this reaction. I hope we hear more this summer. If you can play as Zelda maybe you're less of a close combat fighter and instead use tech animals to fight for you, like that robotic looking bull we saw.

Yeah, too soon, right? I mean, they are re-using assets from BOTW for sure, but still; I don't think it will be out next year. 2021 at the earliest, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a 2022-23.
Biggest problem of the whole direct was that Breath of the Wild 2 was the only new 1st party game announced (M&S Tokyo 2020 was in fact announced early this year at Sega Fes). I was really holding out for getting something new from another major first party series, especially one that we haven't seen in a while - or at least since the Wii U. I wasn't expecting F-Zero or anything, but a new Punch-Out!!, a new Pikmin, a new Kid Icarus - something along those lines would've brought the whole direct together and made it a solid A. Even a big new Mario Spinoff would've certainly been appreciated (and a new Paper Mario that actually looks good - or a remake of one/both of the first two - would have easily pushed it to an A+). As it is, its right on the border of B+ and A-; if I had to give a final grade, I'd say it's an 89/100.

the design on it looks zonai to me. the were a powerful magic-using tribe who worked with the sheikah to destroy ganon so i wouldn't be surprised if it's their sealing magic. they are, after all, down in a cave system full of zonai ruins.

I think the guys are getting a bit ahead of themselves with the playable Zelda theories. It like they saw Zelda alive and not captured for thirty seconds, immediately lept to the conclusion of 'playable Zelda', and all of their analysis and theorycrafting from that point was just them riffing on that theme (is it coop?, is Link captured?, do you choose one of them at the beginning a'la Dishonored 2?)
I want to see a playable Zelda as much as the next guy, but committing yourself to one line of thinking based on VERY little information is basically asking for disappointment once reality doesn't match the very specific vision of what you built up in your own head.
Love this reaction. I hope we hear more this summer. If you can play as Zelda maybe you're less of a close combat fighter and instead use tech animals to fight for you, like that robotic looking bull we saw.

BOTW2 is 2020 because I heard they started working on something Zelda after the fort game went gold in early 2017. And also it’s the same engine than BOTW too.

Yeah, too soon, right? I mean, they are re-using assets from BOTW for sure, but still; I don't think it will be out next year. 2021 at the earliest, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is a 2022-23.

Hearing "march 2020" triggers me - Animal Crossing delayed release date
Biggest problem of the whole direct was that Breath of the Wild 2 was the only new 1st party game announced (M&S Tokyo 2020 was in fact announced early this year at Sega Fes). I was really holding out for getting something new from another major first party series, especially one that we haven't seen in a while - or at least since the Wii U. I wasn't expecting F-Zero or anything, but a new Punch-Out!!, a new Pikmin, a new Kid Icarus - something along those lines would've brought the whole direct together and made it a solid A. Even a big new Mario Spinoff would've certainly been appreciated (and a new Paper Mario that actually looks good - or a remake of one/both of the first two - would have easily pushed it to an A+).
As it is, its right on the border of B+ and A-; if I had to give a final grade, I'd say it's an 89/100.
The lack of a second 1st Party Game is made up from the sheer number of third party games that they showcased in the Direct and the Treehouse.
They’re surely going to reveal some big new things in a Direct later this year.
