- In this video we compare the new iPhone 5 with the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 has the new A6 dual-core 1GHz Apple CPU with 1GB of RAM, while the iPhone 4S has an A5 dual-core 800MHz Apple CPU. The display on the iPhone 5 is 1136x640 while it's 960x640 on the iPhone 4S. The battery is also a bit larger on the iPhone 5, very much needed for the larger screen and inclusion of the LTE radio.
We compare the devices on hardware, specs, web browsing speed, app updating speed, gaming, and more.

I always thought the 4s looked more premium than the 5. In fact, I think the 4 and 4s are among the best looking iPhones ever. I never really cared for the designs of the 6-7 other than them having larger screens.

I absolutely LOVE my 4s. After comparing my phone with the 5s at the Apple Store, I really couldn't justify upgrading to the 5s. The size and feel of the 4s was simply more comfortable and less awkward than the taller 5s. My 4s is lightning fast and the resolution is beautiful. No need to upgrade, imo :-)

When times were simpler. My first iPhone was the white 4S. Still, the best looking iPhone yet.
I love my iPhone 4S and it's still very fast.. Though it slowed down a bit after jailbreaking and adding alot of tweaks.. But still fast.. iPhone 5 just has a taller screen and small additions that aren't that big of a deal to not have. Besides iPhone 6 will be way better

sonicfan653 Umm. this years' iphone 6 is only coming in at 4.7 inch. The 5.5 inch is said to be pushed back till next year. And, I also agree with you on the 4s and 5(I personally own the 4s).

You're so right about the colors on the 5 being warmer than those on the 4/4S. I was using my iPhone 5 side-by-side with my old iPhone 4 and the colors on the 4 look so much paler and colder compared to the 5.

I just got a 4S on Saturday (it's Monday now) and I love it. I have an iPod Touch 5, and I honestly like the 4S screen size better, which is the only thing that's changed other than specs. The only thing I don't like about my 4S is the 8GB size, but it's not that big of a deal.

Trust me, once you get familiar, you'll never experience soft crashes. I still have my 3Gs and I never ever had any error.

I had a 32Gb iPhone 4 then upgraded to the 5, hated it's looks and design and feel and bought a never used iPhone 4S 64Gb off eBay from a local business man who had surplus stock. I'm so happy with it. Much nicer design and build quality and is much better than my old 4 which I loved. Maybe the 6S will be good, but i'll wait this time. Just bought a new high power battery for the 4S and it helps with the performance as it no longer get hot in use !!!

No offense, but this video sounded a bit like an advertisement for iPhone 5. In my opinion, although 4s is not so fast as 5, its much better looking with glass in both sides than metal back and Gorilla Glass 2 in front. Yesterday I bought iPhone and still prefered iPhone 4s over 5, 5s and 5c.

I've had my iPhone 4s for 3 years now and I loved it. But it had begun to crash and have lots of problems. I didn't have the money to fork over and fix it. So I waited it out, cleaned out whatever I could from my 4s and just tried to make it last until it decided to all of a sudden start changing volumn by itself when on headphones, and also stopped making any sound whatsoever with texts or phone calls. So I miss any and all calls and notifications. I really didn't want to stop using my 4s but I think I did the best I could with it and took great care of it. I'm no techie, so I just tried using my phone for email, internet, and just a couple social networking apps. I also had conversations with the Apple people and followed their advice on what little else I could do. Other than that, I had to stop multitasking on the phone because it would crash on my all the time. :( But I've been able to take advantage of my carrier plan and upgraded to the 5s. For the price it was a steal, and paid exactly what I paid for my 4s, so I'm happy. I don't even like the 6+ and like others have mentioned I really dislike the attitude of thinking one is superior to another simply because they have the "best/newest" phone on the market.
It's the crappy updates. There was another release to try to fix issues. All iOS users are dealing with it. Not to mention EVERYBODY in the app world is rushing updates too. I am a techi... Hang in there! My guy wants to get me the 5s and I'm not really excited. I will be when I get it though!! :-))
Phree Panda I am really enjoying my new 5s now. :) I still have my 4s and have some apps left on there that I use with wifi only. But the 5s is very nice. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours when you get it!

i just go the iphone 4s today and i came onto this video to check the difference between 4s and 5s/5c because i was suppose to get 5c but i got 4s instead (before anyone calls me selfish i bought it out of my own money) and i'm seeing lots of people say good things about it so i'm glad i got this one :)
this was on older versions of IOS the 5 now runs on more optimized versions it is now fastter then the 4s. the 4s is still a good phone though.

James A the 4s is STILL outdated and dose not get new updates, its slow as balls, its gross and heavy and overheats in 3 minutes, the screen is too small, it sucks at running good games. i can keep on going the list is endless.

The wifi range for a lot of the iphone 5 models are so short. Apparently it's a common hardware issue for a particular iphone 5 model. Thinking about downgrading to the iphone 4 because of this, because the iphone 4's range is so much wider, like many other iphones. Hope this insight helps.
