"Joe's Pleasure Palace, Vito speaking" always gets me xD
Great way to answer a call at a friend's house... I might try a version of that sometime... xDD
Don't know if you know this already, but if you have 1 star you can just stop they let you pay the fine.
It's the same with 2 stars when they want to arrest you.
and let the cops win?
...hell nah! xDD
You might notice that Derek Pappalardo and Joe Barbaro are both voiced by Bobby Costanzo :)
Same voice actor who played Harvey bullock on Batman The Animated Series. I played this game before watching that show and was so pleased to hear his voice.
Compared to the original Mafia 1, Mafia 2's police signals are a blessing xD
No rocky you can't do jobs from characters because they got cut from the game. But characters will make reference to this cut content from time to time. The only things you can do is bring cars to the crusher and rob stores.
That's probably good tbh, keeping the game linear and keep the story going seems better! :D
15:12 Heh, yeah, my buddy got in trouble with his (then) girlfriend over that. She didn’t believe him until he brought up the collectibles menu and proved it. Mind this, this chick also had her own collection of magazines from what he told me.
LOL wut?
Yeeeeeah, getting in trouble over game collectibles is ludicrous! xD
15:07 eah, those are collectibles in this game 😂 They can get very naughty, saying just in case 😉
I do enjoy naughty magazines, but maybe we'll have to avoid my desires during this playthrough. xDDD
@@RockyRockhead it’s very tempting 🤣
If you had explored the lower level you could’ve deactivated the alarms. Lets you get out without tripping the alarms until you’re already leaving in the car.
That is something nobody notices in their first playthrough because it is never mentioned. But those who are careful and patient or even like to search every corner of the world are rewardedfor that.
So next time... search around more and see what else I can do?
I will do that! :D
@@RockyRockhead It impressed me they included that alternative when I came across it, but it was appreciated. I think some guard mentions it.
GTA
This is fucking great Rocky. 2020s best Playthrough channel handsdown!
My advice for the lockpicking, let it go all the way to the top and slowly drop, you'll have an easier time reacting to it turning green that way rather than trying to do it on the way up.
Yeah letting it slowly fall is much more efficient than trying to time the chambers going upwards!
Thanks buddy! :D
You can take any car to Mike's Car crusher and get exactly $400 every time. Alternatively, if you have a really nice car, you can take it to Derek to sell over seas and put on a cargo ship for $2000. I think the paying off debts money happens in the story only, so you can't actually do it sooner then you're supposed to.
If there is ever any need for some extra cash, I shall do this! :D
Damn. Got to wait an hour till i get home for watching
I would like to see you go straight into 3 after 2. But it's ultimately your call. And I will be honest, yes, it is the weaker of the 3 story wise, but I still had fun with it when I played it. Worth a playthrough in my opinion.
We shall see if the story of the game hooks me... if it does, then the playthrough will be easy!!
If the characters, story and gameplay grab me, then I'll probably enjoy my time! :D
38:09 is that andrew bongiorno??
What an awesome game! more mafia characters I hope they will live a long and a happy life🥰🥰
💀
When you were driving to the petrol stations you could've placed waypoints.
I will remember this for future episodes! Thanks!
Mafia 3 is very different from the first two games, indeed. Personally, I never managed to fully finish it. It just felt way too jarring, jumping into it after completing Mafia DE and this one right here, cause the first 2 titles are more story-focused and linear. Playing through them is more like watching a very high quality mobster flick. As long as you don't suck too much, the story will keep moving forward at a very comfortable pace. Mafia 3 went into more of an "open-world" GTA-style gameplay, and in my opinion, didn't manage to execute it as gracefully as probably intended.
The story, the atmosphere, the soundtrack and cinematography are still very good, but you are constantly stopped in your tracks to do a lot of grindy stuff, which in GTA games would usually be classified as "side missions", but in Mafia 3 those side missions are what the main gameplay loop is made of, and it gets old real fast in my opinion. At a certain point I found myself asking: "Do I really want to see the next story cutscene SO BADLY as to keep playing this?" - and ultimately I said "Nope, not really".
Not to mention a plethora of technical issues which STILL bug some versions of the game. The whole thing has this "we barely finished developing it" vibe, whereas Mafia DE and Mafia 2 are mostly well polished (aside from some minor things here and there). Overall, I would still recommend you to try Mafia 3 out, Rocky - but bear all of the above in mind as you do. The experience may be very different from what you see here.
I'm intrigued to see what they tried to do with the changes and tbh I could enjoy it, we'll just have to see.
I've heard that there are missions for grinding money which I'm not too interested in, but if the story pulls me in, I'm sure I'll enjoy my time!
Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it!! :D
Wonder if it's possibleto jsut do crates until you get the debt paid mmm.
Henry’s appearance really threw me off. I’ve only ever played the original Mafia 2, so seeing those eyebrows made me do a double take. Lol.
Great video Rocky you are as funny as ever in this video and mafia 3 is very different then the first 2 mafia games but anyway I enjoying this series and I did watch the Jessie Jamie movie you talk about
It'll be interesting to see how Mafia 3 is different to the others, I'm intrigued! :D
Glad you watched the Jesse James film, I really hope you enjoyed it!
Thanks Nicholas! :D
@@RockyRockhead you are welcome Rocky
Henry looks bad in this remastered version
Yeah his eyebrows look like clumps of crude oil smeared on his face. xD
What a beautiful day when you are so fire and the video was so cool to see and interesting 😊😮😊😮(☆▽☆)
