      Neither. If I was going to spend the money that Nissan is asking I'd buy the Outlander PHEV which has a real EV range of 70 - 80km, better driving dynamics, more power because it isn't limited by the petrol engine and equivalent interior. And in the real world 90% of most Aussie's driving would be electric. I just wouldn't buy the Haval but I do understand why a family on a budget would.

    No midsize SUV should be $73k, period. Especially Nissan that isn't a luxury brand. How a car feels for tou is a personal thing, but the X-Trail hybrid isn't $18k better than this H6. In fact it isn't better at wll. After having two X-Trails with failed CVT transmissions the wife bought the H6 Lux and honestly, good as any x-trail on the market. Also, the hybrid system in the X-Trail is a generator and the H6 has a proper hybrid system that will function as a regular car, should anything happen to the electronic components. Not the case with the Nissan, is it?

    Ive had my 2023 X-Trail Ti 2.5L petrol for 3 months, 10/10 would recomend. I've been getting 5.5L/100kms on the highway (Using Eco Mode and Pro-Pilot) which is amazing for a petrol SUV. Super premium inside, only payed $47K because it was a demo model. If you're tight on money I would go for this spec of X-Trail, there really isn't many down sides to it and I personaly dont think its worth paying $5k extra for the E-Power unit or spending the extra on going for the Ti-L unless you want the tan interior. The CVT is also surprisingly smooth, it doesnt bother me one bit. It's also a bonus that the regular version only needs 91ron petrol, so I would just buy a regular X-Trail

    At this point in time I would take the H6 & save the $15,000. it’s a family SUV & right now most families could use an extra $15k.
    This is a less expensive alternative please keep that in mind when you review. Stop trying to make it into to something that it is never going to be. Does it do anything that I want in a family SUV yes it does. I would much rather you make an acute comparison that focuses on more family stuff. Wood grain trim etc does nothing for me. I want to know if it will stand up to family life.
    Also I am a mechanic by trade & these capped price servicing plans are absolute BS you never end up paying what is quoted in your reviews. This is from personal experiences. For example if you need brakes or a fluid flush they charge you extra. Yet this is never mentioned in any reviews. Not all plans are equal they do Not included everything.

    • @sicimark
      @sicimark ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can buy a service plan from Nissan which will everything from on the schedule, you will be a lot worse off than $15,000 when you go to sell the Haval, have less spec and its only 2wd

    • @anakinskywalker4113
      @anakinskywalker4113 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@sicimark with respect the capped price plans in my personal view pretty are pretty much useless. They mostly cover oil & filter changes & other minor items. If you need other major work done it costs a lot extra. For example Mazda have capped price plans yet when my mate took his CX-5 in for a service & needed spark plugs that was an extra $400 on the bill.
      Also I would be happy to have a little bit less & pocket $15,000 right at this point considering money is tight right now. I simply cannot justify spending an extra $15k not everyone is going to agree with me on that one.

    I've watched a heap of Haval reviews and this one is incredibly biased towards Nissan. There's no way the extra $15 grand is worth it in the Nissan. Old mate starts smashing Haval from the very start when talking about how 'bold' the grill is on the Nissan and not so much on the Haval. Chasing Cars always say they aren't paid to do these reviews but this bloke is obviously on the take.

    We recently cancelled our order for the xtrail ti epower, primarily due cost, but also due to wait time blow outs.
    Went and ordered a H6, should arrive by August.
    Driving the xtrail was more refined but you should expect that for $15k more.
    In saying that we took the H6 for a spin and didn’t notice the combustion engine dropping in and out.
    Although all the technical stuff is nice to have and should never be relied upon as a replacement for the actual driver driving the vehicle.

      Waiting 2 years for a car in this economy is not a rational decision. Youre going to pay more for the car you deposited on, its probably not going to be the same car you test drove and in that 2 years life happens and you need to get that car now, but you just cant. Its better to get something now than wait for that Unicorn, car prices arent getting any cheaper and the day is fast approaching when loan durations are going to move because to pay monthly for a car over 3 or 5 years would see half of your salary disappearing.

This is excluding registration and insurance and the such. But it includes taxes. Do you think this price is reasonable for the car ? I must confess that prices in the middle east have all gone up and the tax went up too so it makes sense for it to be this expensive :) I mean the price for the car for the same class Ti-L is 53,000k AUD before taxes and now it's almost 63,000k AUD after taxes. I can afford it however I would love to hear your opinion about the car knowing the price and what i get for it. @@radissimo1 Nissan sold the same number of cars in March as GWM. Renault sold 70% of cars as BYD. Both Nissan (Datsun) and Renault have been here for the last 70 years. BYD has been here for about 6 months. LOL

    I have heard horrible things about the Chinese cars and utes that hit the market a few years ago. I wouldn’t touch one with a 10 foot chopstick.

      People said the same thing about Japanese cars when they started to take the market, so was the case with Korean cars and now it is repeating with Chinese cars. It's just apprehension about different car makers than the ones we're used to. TBH, everyone who has owned or used the Haval has nothing but praises for the car.

    Haval vehicles have been returning to the dealer with faulty electronics within months, looking beyond the distracting interiors, at least the Nissan will still be on the road in 10 years time.

    A lot of people are falling for the Haval and likes. People who sold their old crapy BMWs and who just bought the car saying it’s fantastic. Of course it is, it is new. Problem with Chinese cars is durability, engineering and safety. This Haval is obviously a replica of the old generation Kia Sportage … with new cheap tech. I mean Chinese people here is Australia drive German cars BMWs and Mercedes. Think about that
