Much better in terms of wanting to be father Rose even goingas far as pissing her so she wouldn't want anything to do with him. Slade also knows what each of them are doing, he may be emotionally fucked but he would without a doubt sacrificed his life for his children. That makes him somewhat or if not completely better than Bruce.
I agree. While Damian did kill Dick and it was his fault regardless if he meant to or not, Batman should have tried to patch things up with Damian instead of disown him. If Dick can forgive Damian, Batman should try to as well
Watching this just makes me feel more sad for Damian. In injustice, I cried when nightwing died and I loved how dick was able to forgive him even in death, aside from Bruce and Alfred, he’s always there for Damian. Also from JL: AW after being pushed away he’d still take a bullet for his father. He was more victim than he ever was, but kudos to needlemouse on this video.
In number #4: it also goes with saying that even tho Batman was being mind controlled, it was still pretty messed up for him to tell Damian that he was never his son, but instead only a burden
Actually sending him to the temple was the most fatherly thing he could do he took his youngest boy out of the fight so he could truly learn the way of peace. Damian’s main problem in those movies was the fact that he only knew the way the chaos/conquest and was way too eager to inherit the highest ranking mantels of his family.
Two moments I can think of are both Bruce unfairly disowning Damian the first time this happened was after Nightwing's death in the Injustice universe despite the fact Dick himself who by this point became the new Deadman(DeadWing) himself forgave Damian including giving him the Nightwing outfit, and actually confirm that his death was a accident, the 2nd time this happens is when Damian quits being Robin and becomes Redwing after the events of Joker War basically after Damian quits being Robin and becomes Redwing Bruce disowns both Jason, and Damian over their willingness to kill the criminals who deserve it even though Damian states that unlike Jason aka Outlaw he'll only consider killing as a method of last resort Bruce still disowns Damian simply cause Redwing is willing to consider killing as a option of last resort.
I have noticed that, in Batman vs Robin, when they fall through the glass roof and Bruce realized they were going to hit the statue, he grabs Damian and shields him from hitting the stone statue, which could have broken Bruce’s back, but Damian is to distracted by everything else going on to notice this action. It seems Batman cares more about protecting Robin then himself but, he doesn’t go about it the best way for any of them, and even if they’re physically unharmed there are still mental scars. Bruce isn’t even remotely close to being best father but at least he tries, at least when he’s not fight crime dressed as a giant bat. I don’t think Bruce really knows how to deal with his own trama healthily, what bad about that is he taught his children his unhealthy coping methods, Damian is the worst in this sense because one way he learns is by watching those around him, being raised as an assassin for 10 years in a place where emotions are likely seen as a vulnerability then living with his father who shows little to no emotion most of the time, it’s easy to understand why Damian is the way he is if you’re willing to take the time to try.
I mean, if he did do that he probably would've had some blood on his hands don't ya think? The kid's gloves were spotless. World's greatest detective everyone!
Damian literally killed all Goliath’s race ( I think), he was trained by the league of assassins since birth PLUS Bruce’s training and all, pretty sure he can pull out a heart out of someone’s chest
Your wrong about the last one Tim and Dick had loving parents who truly loved and cared about them Jason family hated him from birth hell he was sold out by his biological mother to the joker and his dad abused him so he and Damian both have bad childhoods
9:49 "Loving parents" Jason's parents were drug addicts. His father died in prison, and his mother overdosed. And Stephanie Brown's dad is the Cluemaster. (Edit: Don't take this comment seriously, I was trying to be ironic and funny and I failed. Sorry)
Damian Wayne: *exists* father.......please do your job and be my father Bruce Wayne: *ignores damian* Dick Grayson -in bludheaven-: why do i have the sudden need to complain about the thermostat and make bad puns and ruffling everyone's hair while calling them sport?
Talia was very wrong to force herself upon Bruce. That’s one of the reasons I like Catwoman, and I know she’s got nothing to do with Damian, but I’ll respect any talia supporters.
I like Talia a lot too :( I just hate the fact that they used a storyline which was literally retconned...It made so many people hate her 😔 That and the fact that the writers never even mention the SA after that, like, ever. Just randomly put it in there for no reason. In og comics Damian was consentual, but she pretended to miscarry Damian or smth to Batman. I wished they used that storyline instead
This got me thinking. What if Billy batsin new why his mom didn't come find him. I mean having to grow up knowing that one minute you and your mom were having fun at a carnival then the next she's like "nah I don't want this child" and leaves you...like that would've taken a serious toll on his mental health! And i feel the same would probably happen to Damian if he was a normal kid. But yeah I always thought Bruce was a not-so-great father to his kids.
@@eartht0ast755 In the terrible superhero father stakes Wolverine's worse than Batman. Guy's had so many kids over his long life he's either forgotten about, neglected, abandoned or killed.

I honestly just keep forgetting that she passed and just think she went to the store or something and sometimes I am waiting for hours while doing online and then it hits me and i just end up going through her videos shed recird of my baby sis i even forgot her voice
Damien is a trained assassin that had an established history of throwing Dick's baton at him when he was frustrated or annoyed. He just got use to Dick always catching it. Unfortunately, given THAT particular set of circumstances, he doesn't get to say killing him was an accident. Now if it was Bruce (because of his cowl being armored), Jason (same reason) or literally ANY super human, that would be one thing. But against Dick, who NEVER wore a helmet aside from when he was impersonating Bruce, he doesn't get that defense. That's like Kazuya trying to kill Heihachi all his life only to throw him in that volcano and then say "Oh shit!"
*Contains Spoilers* If people have read City of Bane, Damian's run of the Titans, the Lazarus Island arc and the Shadow War arc, you'll agree with the fact that no one other than Alfred and Dick have cared for Damien. Bruce never even bothered to celebrate his birthday like ever! The arcs I've mentioned above have led to the best Damian Wayne arcs in recent comics and make you want to smack the living s**t out of Bruce and Talia (Bruce way more so than Talia). Rather than comforting Damian after a changed Ra's's death, he nonchalantly blames him for Alfred's death (which was actually kind of Bruce's fault in the first place). At one point in the Lazarus Island arc, you literally see him admit that he has known very few things other than misery. It actually reminded me of broken Matt in Daredevil Season 3 who begged the random thugs to kill him.
Batman doesn't kill Joker who's done so much to him, the family, and essentially the world in Injustice in hopes of being able to help the man but is so quick to disown his son over one accidental kill? Batman is way too flawed for his morals to be put on a pedestal by fans and writers
I mean isn’t Batman vs robin about Batman trying to trust Damian enough and try to have a father and son relationship. True the ending of the film was a dumb idea but should the film be about Damian trying so hard to earn his fathers trust.
They would kill each other eventually. Both are similar and have tons of self hatred, people like them need people that are opposite to them to balance them out
To be fair, Damian was raised and trained by the Demon Ras for 10 years. Jason O Mara was such a great Bruce Wayne, it’s a shame Warner Bros replaced him after the newest flash point.
9:44 Actually, I think an argument can be made that Jason had a worse childhood. He was brought up in a home filled with drug addiction and abuse. He committed crime from when he was really young just so he can survive.
As much as we love batman… nobody ever said he would be a good father… how many kids did he take in to basically hunt down psychotic murderers? Lmao thats all he knows so he’s just passing down his traits
Batman's partner argument thing might *sort of* worked if said partner was an established adult who he trained specifically to get out of situations like being captured like Dick or Tim. The issue here is that this partner was *his own damn son* and he decided to NOT rescue him. Geez why do some writers make Bruce the worst father on the planet?
Batman disowning him for killing dick was reasonable but sure it was accident he still need to learn self control And it even worst that he joined Superman
@warwik Xio ho ho can’t wait until injustice 3 comes out when Damian finally finds that Superman the person he look up too like second dad is the person who put a hit on Alfred.
@@theguythatonlylikesmainpro0816 You need to follow the injustice comic for Alfred part. Damian has revived Alfred and I think Damian let Alfred to join Batman again (comic of Injustice 2) Also there is Injustice vs King of Multiverse where the heroes joined hand with He-Man. The main antagonist is Superman and Damian alongside Cyborg had defected themselves from Superman. The story is taking on the bad ending of Injustice 2. Ironically, when the first mission is to rescue Batman, Damian died by the hand of Wonder Woman. Fortunately, Batman is rescued in the overtime of Damian's deed In the comic of Injustice 2, Damian is the one to convince Jason to stop following the wrong deed of Rash-Al-Ghul completely Anyway, Damian is my number 1 favourite to be Robin. But for Batman's bat family member, it's Jason
I won't lie, I feel like had batman just given superman a hug instead of pulling the red solar grenade at the beginning of Injustice 2, he might've been able to stop him, or reach some sort of a breakthrough
A child has no control over the circumstances of their birth thus they cannot be blamed for anything that happened. They didn't choose to be conceived but they were and the parents have a responsibility to take of that child or make sure it has a decent life. That means doing what's best for that child and Batman fails real hard at that lemme tell you. At times he can come off as a good parent but overall he ain't good.
I think it’s because he’s been Batman for so long and after failing all three robins, he has to do the opposite of what he did for them or that’s what he thinks Long story short he is more Batman than Bruce Wayne
I think the worst thing was not send the kid to therapy Damian since birth has been trained to be a killing machine put through physical and mental trauma seen things that no adult should see let alone a child raised in basically a ninja cult have his own mother and grandfather endorce this life style and force him into it becoming a social out cast by normal standards and eradicating any chance for him to live a normal life the second Batman got a hold of him he should have sent him to round the clock therapy and rehabilitation there's no way he's mentally stable one of the first things we see him do is go out and cut the head off a guy like it was expected of him he has by far the worst childhood of any of the Robins maybe of Sidekicks in general
5. I mean he had a bomb to take care of and as you guessed he assumed damian could take care of himself and is way more likely to be able to defend himself more than normal citizens.
"I know that he... troubles you, but he's here. And you need to get over the how and the why. Trust me on this -- this boy needs his father." - Bruce Wayne This is word for word what Bruce Wayne said to Clark Kent in order to get him to Man of Steel up, and work things out with Superboy in Season 1 of Young Justice. It's a shame the other versions of Bruce Wayne couldn't have taken this attitude with Damian; excluding the Bruce Wayne from The Brave and The Bold of course. I honestly didn't realize how similar Damian Wayne and Young Justice Superboy were to one another until I started rewatching Young Justice. Both of them were created from the D.N.A. of superheroes who did not give their consent, they were both given top notch educations, they were both conditioned by evil people, and they were both brought up to be living weapons. Granted, Young Justice Superboy is exponentially more likeable and sympathetic than Damian in many regards, but they both struggle with father figures, and they've had a hard time finding themselves. I honestly think that these two could have become great friends if they ever met. Although, given their tempers, they may try to kill each other on a few occasions. P.S. Did anybody see the costume Mal Duncan was wearing in the episode "Secrets" by any chance? He was dressed like the '90s version of Superboy. Mal told Conner point blank, "I'm Superman done right." Just seeing Conner's reaction was priceless.
"He is his father. And as such, Batman should not be hitting his son" Batman did more talking to that kid and it didn't work. Damain only respected fighting and bloodshed. He considered talking to be weakness. His grandfather is Ras Al'Ghoul. What kind of talking could stop Damian from being a brat? The only reason he started to calm down was because he started spending more time with Grayson - whom Damain also fought and also threw the first punch. He started to calm down AFTER fighting the 2 of them. Talking didn't do squat.
It feels like you’re taking stuff out of context while at the same time treating Damien like a normal kid when he’s not hes said that he was climbing mountains as a young child
In the immortal words of Flashpoint Batman aka Thomas Wayne: I love my son but why did he raise my grandchildren like this!? Batman's parents reactions to what he does in response to their death do not help them rest easier. They feel like they failed to protect their son and they fear for their grandkids.... In short they're disappointed in Batman. Ironic. They would've preferred if their son had been a father not a crime fighter. Yet he did the EXACT opposite.... I love Batman but I think he should seriously get better parenting skills.
Bruce: *helps everyone in any way he can, be it financially or through actively offering emotional support even to those who wronged him* Bruce when bad writers get a hand at him *abuses his fucking kids and sleeps with his son’s ex*
Batman is actually a very tough hero to love. Doesn’t kill any villains that do the worse to him/family. Doesn’t do anything for his son and treats him shitty (even tho I really don’t like Damian Wayne). Doesn’t do shit for Jason Todd and even protects joker from Jason. But I can’t help but loving the character.
I agree with everything except the injustice thing. Even though it was an accident you can’t throw something at someone and not dodge that object and they die from it. You can’t just say you thought they would dodge it
All the robins had loving parents? Tim's dad ended up abandoning him (I think Idk much about Tim Drake) and Jason was left on the streets. Jason's mother gave him up to the Joker and basically was the reason Jason died. Damian's mom and grandfather made him a weapon. While that's bad, would you rather be made a weapon or be given to a sadistic serial killer by your mother. Yeah. That's what I thought.

I gotta disagree with you about the Injustice part. Yes Batman did blame Damian for killing Dick Grayson. However later in the story he did try to forgive him, but Damian wanted none of it. Sure Batman could’ve tried harder, but he did try.
Doesn't change the fact that he did not try harder
Not the point. He disowned Damian first not try to be a parent serious Slade is a much better Father.

I just imagined Needlemouse as Alfred scolding Batman for not being a good father figure to Damian
He does have Dick Grayson who actually loves him as a brother
“At least all the others had loving parents and a life”
Jason Todd laughing in Crime Alley:
It's really hilarious that the world's greatest detective really thought that a 12-year old kid could reach into a guy's chest and pull out his heart.

Talia was very wrong to force herself upon Bruce. That’s one of the reasons I like Catwoman, and I know she’s got nothing to do with Damian, but I’ll respect any talia supporters.
Honestly, and just for a son too
I like talia alot but what she did there was wrong
*Contains Spoilers*
If people have read City of Bane, Damian's run of the Titans, the Lazarus Island arc and the Shadow War arc, you'll agree with the fact that no one other than Alfred and Dick have cared for Damien.

Batman disowning him for killing dick was reasonable but sure it was accident he still need to learn self control
And it even worst that he joined Superman

A child has no control over the circumstances of their birth thus they cannot be blamed for anything that happened. They didn't choose to be conceived but they were and the parents have a responsibility to take of that child or make sure it has a decent life. Long story short he is more Batman than Bruce Wayne
He didn’t send him to live alone he sent away to a school so he can learn

"I know that he... troubles you, but he's here. And you need to get over the how and the why. Trust me on this -- this boy needs his father." - Bruce Wayne
This is word for word what Bruce Wayne said to Clark Kent in order to get him to Man of Steel up, and work things out with Superboy in Season 1 of Young Justice.
Honestly I hope if batman doesn't accept Damian in young justice super man tells him that.
Nice video
"He is his father. And as such, Batman should not be hitting his son" Batman did more talking to that kid and it didn't work. Damain only respected fighting and bloodshed. He considered talking to be weakness. His grandfather is Ras Al'Ghoul. What kind of talking could stop Damian from being a brat? The only reason he started to calm down was because he started spending more time with Grayson - whom Damain also fought and also threw the first punch. He started to calm down AFTER fighting the 2 of them. Talking didn't do squat.
He does offer in injustice to come back to him but he said he’d never be Robin again… so Batman beats him up in about 1 second.

All the robins had loving parents? Tim's dad ended up abandoning him (I think Idk much about Tim Drake) and Jason was left on the streets. Jason's mother gave him up to the Joker and basically was the reason Jason died. Damian's mom and grandfather made him a weapon.
