The Justice League book has been canceled for over a year and I don't think any one even noticed or cared. She was a legit great character back when John Ostrander wrote Suicide Squad back in the 80s. She stood for order by making sure the bad guys didn't win, and also by making the good guys accountable for their actions. Running Task Force X was how she got things done and she was one of my favorites in comics. Now she just acts like an evil sociopath and villain

She was still pretty heavy with her tactics but you could still argue she's doing what's for the best. Task force X has always been questionable since the start. It is forced labor with the threat of death after all. and even in early issues they dealt with more political stuff then mainland. Its really just since i wana say dark crisis(?) That she went off the deep, a bit before was when she was kidnapping kids aswell if i recall. And starting to try to do shit like nuke Atlantis . Wind her back like 4-5 years and she's still fine. I dont think she needs to go back a full 40.
There are a lot of superheroes that are just normal aliens, with capabilities that are super-human, but regular for a kryptonian in a yellow sun, or a martian, etc, etc. Same plot hole than tower of babel, just with extra "let's hate green arrow"

Another thing: Amanda Waller may say that all the crazy things that are happening are because of heroes, but she ain't going to put the the spilled milk back in the carton. Does she have a plan for the supervillains who are definitely watching this insanity? What about Darkseid and other intergalactic villains? What about all the monsters and demons? She's just gonna have plan for absolutely everything? I doubt it.

It’s kinda goofy how untouchable Amanda Waller is in comic books that have seen the death of several super powered beings and the ultimate planner Batman. They need to rename her the unlikable plot device the way she ever so easily implants explosives into people who can lift tons. The same hero’s and villains that defeat soldiers aplenty simply fall when a lady with the power of commanding soldiers enters the chat.

When Green arrow was talking to Batman, he said, "You supers." As if Batman wasn't human. I know he's freakin' awesome but he still doesn't have powers, or is he still considered a metahuman because of his intelligence? And the fact that he's at the absolute peak of human conditioning doesn't count to me.

I believe the assumption the story is trying to make is that if the concept of Magic can be drained, or godly beings like the Spectre can be Neutered by the Amazos, then Darkseid, if he showed up could effectively be Neutered by the amazos as well. Which makes no sense, but thats the crock of shit the stories trying to cook up.

The writer's introduce somekind of crazy tech or magic that can effortlessly defeat all the heroes, but then when the Big Bads show up the heroes never think to recreate the thing that defeated them or even just go get it out of storage if it was locked up in the original story.

I was mostly ok with the story up till that point. There is NO WAY in all the multiverse fucking Green Arrow of all people would agree to any of this. He's upset about none of the superheroes effecting "real change"? That doesn't make any sense! Does he want them to go full Justice Lords, or recreate the Injustice universe? Is he ignoring all the wealth that Queen Industries and the rest of the billionaire heroes pour into charity work and the development of new technology for the public? Did he somehow forget all the horrible shit the U.S government has done to oppress regular folk and maintain power of over other countries? I really hope this story quickly reveals that Green Arrow was mind controlled, because this is legit character assassination.
Green Arrow is traditionally a very moral hero. Oliver deciding to side with Waller is clearly a sign of him reaching some sort of breaking point on his part. Despite everything, given how cruel Waller’s assault and takeover is _already,_ I feel that his betrayal is finite. He’ll realize he made a mistake and perhaps why his fellow heroes seemingly worked so slowly when it came to uplifting society at first glance.
The entire time I’m watching this video, I’m like, “this is dumb, how are they taking their powers?“ The explanation of them using amazos, characters historically have ways of tampering with heroes powers, and turning that into fully taken them, was genius. Also noticed how Rob says things are about to get nuts, and then immediately cuss to Batman.
I hope Darkseid just shows up, destroys the Amazos and then Waller is just like "oopsie". Just, man, why do they always make her so cartoonishly evil? How many times has she tried to either take control or kill the JL only for it to backfire?
Y'know, Knight Terrors was a good event. It was simple, and the tie ins worked pretty well. Also, the consequences of the story didn't have a huge impact on the world, but the psychological consequences have had real impacts on the characters. For example, Green Lanterns tie-ins did a great job of showing us where Hal is at right now, while Sinestro's tie in did a great job of building towards what he was about to do. I hope they can use Knight Terrors as a template for the future. We don't need the world to end twice a year.
In every. single. universe. I think Amanda is a bigger threat, to mankind, than even Injustice's superman. She embodies the full evil of the US government, with the hubris that it brings. Her callousness, towards all life, in DC, including regular people, alongside her lack of morals, masterful manipulation, and power, makes her a true villain and more evil, than even the darkest Gotham villain.
The 2 most horrifying phrases you can hear in the same breath are "I'm from the government, and I'm here to help." That should be everyone's clue that Waller does not have their best interest in mind.
And that when Darkside came in and they all realize they are screwed, because they do not know how to stop him or the Dimensional Imp, or Trigon, or the monitor or any other treat that only the League can deal with. There should be a story that says that earth of screwed because they screwed over their own heroes one where the heroes basically say they are not going to lift a finger to save them and they really don't save them, saying you wanted this now you got it no one save them.

There was this old story from DC where a superhero emerges in our reality and that causes his counterpart to come into being as well. The argument was that once a super hero appears, supervillians will follow. In the end that superhero realizes that and after defeating the first supervillian, he leaves Earth, or maybe our dimension. I'm not sure if it was a JLA story.
So I'm just going to assume the speed force is okay with someone again absorbing all of it again and not sending a black flash black to be like yo stop it before you f around and find out.
I really- REALLY- hope that what Ollie said was true because if it is, then real, immediate change can happen with DC- and I would love to see it. Waller seems to have thought of everything- except how to deal with beings like Trigon or Darksied. If they decide to attack, IMO Waller and her dream of control goes up in smoke.

There is one hero who may not be affected by this someone from the future a hero with an interesting insight into what has happened, Brainiac 5 and his teammates the Legion to save the past and look deep into the future of what to come. She was still pretty heavy with her tactics but you could still argue she's doing what's for the best. Task force X has always been questionable since the start. It is forced labor with the threat of death after all. and even in early issues they dealt with more political stuff then mainland.
Its really just since i wana say dark crisis(?) That she went off the deep, a bit before was when she was kidnapping kids aswell if i recall. And starting to try to do shit like nuke Atlantis . Wind her back like 4-5 years and she's still fine. I dont think she needs to go back a full 40.

Amazo drains meta powers. This is not something new. Superman’s powers are a meta mutation. A lot of this was cemented in the various Metal series.

Another thing: Amanda Waller may say that all the crazy things that are happening are because of heroes, but she ain't going to put the the spilled milk back in the carton. Does she have a plan for the supervillains who are definitely watching this insanity? What about Darkseid and other intergalactic villains? What about all the monsters and demons? She's just gonna have plan for absolutely everything? I doubt it.

It’s kinda goofy how untouchable Amanda Waller is in comic books that have seen the death of several super powered beings and the ultimate planner Batman. They need to rename her the unlikable plot device the way she ever so easily implants explosives into people who can lift tons. The same hero’s and villains that defeat soldiers aplenty simply fall when a lady with the power of commanding soldiers enters the chat.

I believe the assumption the story is trying to make is that if the concept of Magic can be drained, or godly beings like the Spectre can be Neutered by the Amazos, then Darkseid, if he showed up could effectively be Neutered by the amazos as well. The writer's introduce somekind of crazy tech or magic that can effortlessly defeat all the heroes, but then when the Big Bads show up the heroes never think to recreate the thing that defeated them or even just go get it out of storage if it was locked up in the original story.

Green Arrow is traditionally a very moral hero. Oliver deciding to side with Waller is clearly a sign of him reaching some sort of breaking point on his part. Despite everything, given how cruel Waller’s assault and takeover is _already,_ I feel that his betrayal is finite. He’ll realize he made a mistake and perhaps why his fellow heroes seemingly worked so slowly when it came to uplifting society at first glance.

The entire time I’m watching this video, I’m like, “this is dumb, how are they taking their powers?“ The explanation of them using amazos, characters historically have ways of tampering with heroes powers, and turning that into fully taken them, was genius. Amanda Waller's weakness is Entenmann's and diabetes.
Y'know, Knight Terrors was a good event. It was simple, and the tie ins worked pretty well. Also, the consequences of the story didn't have a huge impact on the world, but the psychological consequences have had real impacts on the characters. For example, Green Lanterns tie-ins did a great job of showing us where Hal is at right now, while Sinestro's tie in did a great job of building towards what he was about to do.
I hope they can use Knight Terrors as a template for the future. We don't need the world to end twice a year.
In every. single. universe. I think Amanda is a bigger threat, to mankind, than even Injustice's superman. She embodies the full evil of the US government, with the hubris that it brings. Her callousness, towards all life, in DC, including regular people, alongside her lack of morals, masterful manipulation, and power, makes her a true villain and more evil, than even the darkest Gotham villain.

There was this old story from DC where a superhero emerges in our reality and that causes his counterpart to come into being as well. The argument was that once a super hero appears, supervillians will follow. In the end that superhero realizes that and after defeating the first supervillian, he leaves Earth, or maybe our dimension. I'm not sure if it was a JLA story.
So I'm just going to assume the speed force is okay with someone again absorbing all of it again and not sending a black flash black to be like yo stop it before you f around and find out.
