That was our first mod to the SCX10 III straight axle platform. Lowering the shocks to the link mount positions makes a big difference. Also, that Reefs Swy Bar you introduced on the SCX10 III JLU back in the day. Thanks! Keep killing it, Joe.
Lol i did the same thing with an older castle set up i had. Still got the motor but fried that esc. And love the quick recipes at the end bout to try with some deer sausage. Have a great one
First thing I’m doing is finishing the rear comp cut ant stretching the rear 10mm, stretching the front 6mm and lowering it on 90mm pricey custom crawler shocks….you should do a review on priceys shocks and links there great quality and priced even better
I have the early bronco so basically that car. I have my Fronts flipped upside down and have 80mm limit straps. But where the straps has to mount they don’t limit the front really. Have 50wt front and rear. Rear shocks have and internal brass limit sleeves under the the pistons. lower and greatly stiffen the rear. Bronco lands plush like a stadium truck. Yes mine are mounted in lower position So much control those shocks are very nice.
Awesome video as usual man, I knew you’d be the first one to lower that thing down where it should be and throw some decent wheels on it. Can’t wait to see that Fusion do some work in it as well. Have a good one Joe.
I’m having the same issue with my Gladiator drag brake. Seems worse than it used to be. I checked all the settings and they’re good, but drag brake seems weak now. 🤷♂️
Aw man, saw you at the Haul N Crawl, did you have this Jeep then? Can't wait for mine to come in, I was already looking at lowering it just from seeing it in videos, glad to see it worked out good.
Would it matter if I removed the roll cage to make it look more like a Jeep? also I don't like the 'wedge' attached to the front bumper, that would come off. On both the small and big Honchos' they don't seem to know what to do with their rear section ie. the 'spare' tyre.
If I get one I was thinking of Fusion Pro 2300. That is what I have on all 3 of my TRX trucks. So that means adding a rx as well so if I do that I may as well use my good Futaba tx and a 4 channel rx. Then down the road I could also hook up the 2 spd in the transmission. I may even buy a Traxxas rx box to keep the rx protected as my Futaba rx is not waterproof.
See what I mean about the 2 Problem,s-in-1 electronics...now you need a new receiver and esc .. now that the esc has an issue. If you want to upgrade your radio to something other than spektrum you have to replace both units as there one unit. Your forced to spend more money than what you normally would have inorder to replace you may or may not be planning on replacing.
Now I don't mean to sound negative but they're bad for the hobby they're bad for the hobby enthusiast and we really should given two in one electronics the influential push .. really just sterling ppl in the wrong direction.
It really sucks that you TH-cam testers already have the new CJ7 and are already modifying it. It’s still on a pre order/back order status with the local hobby shops and online retailers. By the time it’s in stock you’ll be onto the next Crawler.
This is the most detailed Jeep body I’ve seen out of the box on any RTR. In video it’s just a Jeep I get that but this isn’t the same ole Jeep that’s been seen before.
I love your videos but all of the Vitavon just prices people out of the vehicles. I know you show the extreme of parts, But I would love to see you stay more stock in vehicles so more of us could relate or afford it. It just throws comparison out of the window.
This is why I like this channel it get straight to modifications
Thanks!
Looks much more stable now,but myself I liked the way it looked stock height and also the way it articulated.

Love that rig. Power still looks great. Nice job
Lower
Great job on the look of this jeep.
Also I throughly enjoy your enthusiasim with this hobby , you are allways upbeat, like a giggly school kid.

I’m on the base camp builders kit. Always appreciate the feeds Joe. 👍 Thanks

It’s very interesting video I with you here you got me thinking about the jeep look’s really good thanks.

With the length of these shocks they would be good candidates for the ole pen spring mod inside under the piston.

Thanks 👍
Nice and stable now dude, nice!
😁👍
Actually making fresh coffee on the stove and a huge omelette.
Nice work on the Jeep.
Really like it, but looked top heavy like the bronco. Looks more capable now! 👍🏻
It looks so much better lower like that!
Very good video 👍
I’m having the same issue with my Gladiator drag brake. Seems worse than it used to be. I checked all the settings and they’re good, but drag brake seems weak now. 🤷♂️
Great work !! Love your videos 🎉
Just send it on over to me when you’re finished testing and modding it!😅
Did you lower the front and rear shocks to the lower link holes or just the rears?
Happy Sunday brother. Great video as always.
Thanks! You too!
Aw man, saw you at the Haul N Crawl, did you have this Jeep then? Can't wait for mine to come in, I was already looking at lowering it just from seeing it in videos, glad to see it worked out good.
Great vid!! What wheels are those? Beadlock? Can you send a link to them?
Sweet rig man 🤙

Pretty sure there's a drag break adjustment on the stock transmitter. It's probably turned down.
I want one of these baaad. They look so sweet
I tried to relocate the shocks on mine for LCG and the ball ends keep popping out of the shocks when I do. Did you happen to run into this issue?
New rig name due to the self chosen mascot. “Rockhopper”
Yay more cj content :)
So you just moved the stock shocks to the lower link?
“Do you like popcorn Georgie” 🤣. Looks way better lower!
Very nice

Yeah I’ll most likely connect the 2-speed as well, of course a new radio and I want an 8274 winch for it too.

In your opinion is the hobbywing fusion pro or the furitck python x the better brushless system.
This is so deserving of a pro fusion
Put the furitek 1/10 scale crawler system in the new Jeep. Man this new body looks great. Axial did a great job.
I’ve got a fusion se in there and it’s a perfect fit.
1800kv looks about the sweet spot.
I did the same thing with my cen f-450 😂threw a 4s pack in it to test it and didn’t realize until a month later🤷🏻♂️🤣luckily it didn’t fry the esc
It worked after but it wasn’t right
👍😁😎✌️
Missing those Tuesday nights.
So much going on. This Tuesday I should be back
Have a great day, man. I am making eggs and sausage for my daughter and I right now as I watched your video.
I must have missed, what shocks did you use to drop it?
Stock shocks, just put them in the lower link holes
“I’m keeping this one stock for a while guys.”
😀😆😂🤣

Let's talk about buttered sausage, what's it doing to me , get it out of my face. 😂😂😂
What ever happened to I'm keeping it stock
It's still legally stock, just lower.
Famous last words used by every hobbyist😂 im just gonna keep it stock lol
Lol. That's crazy talk 😂
The demo electronics gots to go!
The frame is totally stock!
the vitavon stuff almost looks bronze
I still want /need a stock body
Where's the emo x
I have 2 more videos with that.
Didn't you say in your first video on this CJ7 that you were NOT going to significantly modify/accessorize this RC? 😆
Yeah I may put the stock axles back on to get back to that. I have my doubts though. LoL
I'm more of a bacon guy lol.
I can't be the only one super jealous as I'm trying to give them my money but they don't want to take it.. smh 😂
Soon buddy.
another jeep, why not a fiat panda 4x4 for example?! brands do all the same and there isn't something different for a change
This is the most detailed Jeep body I’ve seen out of the box on any RTR. In video it’s just a Jeep I get that but this isn’t the same ole Jeep that’s been seen before.
Please add a driver
I need one that fits correctly.
That plate holder is the perfect size for a V&B SPEED plate🫡😊🤘🤘
Have you considered starting a cooking channel
LoL I did! It was called BadHat Cooking and it failed miserably
@@ExocagedRC I guess they all can't be homeruns. Lol.

Nobody says you need those axles lol
