Problem is he keeps calling it an rtr when its actually a kit version with motor and esc that doesnt come in the rtr version

The RTR has been shown on a few other channels, and it looks awesome too, and has all the features the kit does. The RTR will be great for those who don't want to mess with building, and painting.
I built the sc10.2 9 months ago only thing missing are electronics battery n charger atm gonna go w the rtr this time and I could swap them out for both rigs!

Awesome video as always 👍🏼 The gear lash is why I always stress people shimming where needed, pinion, trans, wherever. Thats why I wish they would just make a simple single speed transmission conversion, it just adds too much slack to the drivetrain.

I won a SCX10 III kit back in November 2021. I still have to build it. I do have a Trailmaster Pro and a Mamba X set aside for it though.

the rtr is out now, but im awaiting the straight axle version, itll get rid of the gear noise and a few other factory issues by then, just got my HH PP Stubby 3300kv motor after 6 months, cant wait to test it in my new Savvy Bomber, and I cant wait to get my hands on your v3 servos to test it out vs the new triple 7 from Reefs in my new bomber

Hey John, how would you say the new scx10 compares to a trx4? Are there any really noticeable differences, or are they pretty similar overall? Like torque twist, suspension loading, etc.

axail is actually going to be releasing a straight axle for the 10.3 and are in the testing phase of it with it having so much lash I wonder how they will pull it off
Mopar do/did a portal kit for jk wrangler so portals on a Jeep is quite realistic

High john wondering if you can help just bought a120amp ESC for my senton3s as you now the 100amp one that is stock bullets are 3.5mm but on the knew one are 5mm can I solder 5mm on to the 3.5mm or 5mm all the way through or vise versa thanks
550sport 10t and 10tooth pinion in my 10.3 moves rocks it has so much torque
Scale wise, those different size tires really top it off compared to the stock ones...I'd do the same

Did those body clips gry hung up in tall vegetation? Could you do magnets? Cool rig but so over jeep bodies. Maybe a chassis kit in the future.

John what crawlmaster sport would you recommend? I would like to try the 5 slots and was hoping for some wheel speed when needed but crawls well too. Any help would be greatly appreciated
My motors Are robotics motors, but higher quality than whats normally done.

The excessive gear lash has to do with the lack of quality engineering in the transmission main shafts and gears. Either the holes in the gears are too large or the shafts are too small. It has been found that the tolerances with the mating of the gears to the shafts are very sloppy. This slop even has to do with the clicking under load that several have reported. Axial needs to address this issue because the issue is not minimal, it is very excessive play.
Pretty much all shocks work fine. it's how you assemble them. After building them from kits for over 30 years, I can say that without a doubt. Green slime and careful assembly go a LONG way.
i plan to get one with spektrum 6100 rx. what motor and esc do you recommend ?. brushed is fine
Ive got the spektrum dx5c and 6100 reciever. They r great for this rig. Im running a hw 1880 quick run has the program card with it. The tekin t series heavy duty 35t. It does great but honestly the holmes motors r probably a lil better quality.

Ive got them also i just took it out today and it performed way better than i thought it would you cannot go wrong with this setup u can really dial in the drag breal and also reverse where theyre not so jerky. It handle like a dream
I also recommend putting some liquid gravity in the front and rear bumpers and in the link pan it really plants it to the ground
I’m selling my axial 10.3….. for the money it sucks….. my darn dig servo went out ! It’s a moth old and I haven’t even taken it rock crawling, just played with it in the yard! Moving on to redcat Everest gen 8 v2!

Delays in manufacturing and shipping from the corona virus. Its not just Holmes it is most companies around the world right now. When you have increased demand from everyone being home and less people able to work in different parts of the supply chain process, you are going to have delays.

They have nearly a kit through team garage hack. You need electronics, axles, and links iirc.
I have a scx10.2 fully built brand new needs electronics n battery/charger only some upgrades ...

I said it before and I Will doit again,cannot force myself to like anything from axial ,looks like a cheap toy(still)and since the Trx-4 or 6 is out axial will be forever in the shadows ☝️
