I own a Tesla Model Y and a Nio ET7 in China. I think that ET7 has no competitors in the same class, and it's one of the best BEV that I've ever experienced. Equipped with air suspension and wild back seats, ET7 is extremely comfortable and quiet. Also, it's fast, powerful and intelligent. What a dream car!
Nio’s success is the entire industry’s success. The more that battery swap is successful the more that battery storage overall is successful. A vastly underappreciated paradigm shift.
In mysteriös point of view swapping is quite cool but fancy and I think it is more like Apple with IOS. Its never was the goal of apple to have IOS on every Smartphone.
The battery swap thing is kind of a poor solution honestly. It makes it quicker, almost petrol station fast, but really hurts the longer term sustainability of EVs
I gotta agree with you. You have a subscription. NIO comes out with a solid state battery. More range less weight. Designs it so it fits the old design. Swap out the old one the new one at whatever extra cost. I drive out with a new car without changing the car.
Design of exterior and interior both look better, quality inside and outside better. I know cause I sat in one in Berlin. Its a wonderful car. Definitely premium.
For people wondering why there are black stripes on the navigation screen. That has something to do with the camera I think. In real life you don’t have those stripes👍🏼
this is called aliasing. because the screen has certain refresh rate, while your camera has lower frame per sec. therefore the aliasing happens, which is the stripes.
Replacing the battery is a good idea, customers can choose to buy a car without the battery and choose to rent the battery so that they do not need to worry about the wear and tear of their battery due to long hours of driving, while in the future there is an opportunity to replace the battery with a more advanced, longer range battery, and less waiting time for charging.

This is true. I live in Germany and my Audi V8 diesel goes up to 300 km/h with fuel consumption around 8l at middle speeds about 120-160 km/h. So in any other country, I would give the NIO a chance, but in Germany I feel the limitation. If they would give 230, 240 km/h, that could make me think about it.

This is proof that tha EV producers can develop EVs with long range. Now develop them so that they can fully charge from absolute 0 to 100 percent in the same amount of time it takes to fully fuel a regular car, 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours. Do this, oh my god, now we're talkin!! Now short downtimes, long range and reasonable price will no longer be reserved for gas cars only. Iam all for EVs but they just need to be improved. The Nio ET7 sofar is the EV that is getting my attention. One important thing, I hate little cars!!! This is one out of many reasons why I'll never buy a Tesla. Because I'm a serious traveler, i always had large full size luxury automobiles. Big cruisers that rides with the greatest of comfort and relaxation. A car spacious and quiet like the classic 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood which to this day is still classified as American Luxury. No car is made like this anymore gas or electric. EVs have alot of extra features that i don't need and would dismiss if i could inorder to reduce price. Also the speeds are nothing more than increased points on your driving record along with ticket costs. This is a feature for someone who has no wisdom or respect. I will be keeping an eye on the Nio ET7 during the 1 to 2 years i have left before it's time to get out of my full size luxurious Jaguar XJl which i fully fuel up once a month and takes me 3 to 5 minutes and has a range of 570 miles, paid off at 41 thousand dollars. If the NIO ET7 is equally compatible with the fine features of the ice, then this will be my next car. If not, my next car will be the Jaguar XF 20d which has a range of 731 miles. We will see what happens down the road......

Yes. They do so in Norway and they will do so in Germany as well. During the beginning of subscription (not many swap stations) the swaps will be free. Sales model will follow soon.
It looks 100 times more better than tesla and is more futuristic.. The battery swap tech is just mind blowing to me no more 24 hr charge or 8 hr paid subscribe fast chg like tesla. Just come and go like gas car. So fast. And even the battery will have near to no wear because nio would be taking care of that for ya.

Battery swap is nice but honestly all petral station and car manufactures should have made a SWAP STANDARD in 2005 or so..

The only problem is, if you brought it in to a normal shop and had, lets say a problem with the back vent, something simple it could cost hundreds of if not thousands of dollars. In the future it will be common practice. invest now...

Nobody is talking about the revenue potential in having swap stations as advertising revenue. IMAGINE! USD 1000 (advertising revenue) x 3000 swap stations x 365 days is alooot of revenue and shareholder value!!

This is proof that tha EV producers can develop EVs with long range. Now develop them so that they can fully charge from absolute 0 to 100 percent in the same amount of time it takes to fully fuel a regular car, 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours. Do this, oh my god, now we're talkin!! Now short downtimes, long range and reasonable price will no longer be reserved for gas cars only. Iam all for EVs but they just need to be improved. The Nio ET7 sofar is the EV that is getting my attention. One important thing, I hate little cars!!! This is one out of many reasons why I'll never buy a Tesla. Because I'm a serious traveler, i always had large full size luxury automobiles. Big cruisers that rides with the greatest of comfort and relaxation. A car spacious and quiet like the classic 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood which to this day is still classified as American Luxury. No car is made like this anymore gas or electric. EVs have alot of extra features that i don't need and would dismiss if i could inorder to reduce price. Also the speeds are nothing more than increased points on your driving record along with ticket costs. This is a feature for someone who has no wisdom or respect. I will be keeping an eye on the Nio ET7 during the 1 to 2 years i have left before it's time to get out of my full size luxurious Jaguar XJl which i fully fuel up once a month and takes me 3 to 5 minutes and has a range of 570 miles, paid off at 41 thousand dollars. If the NIO ET7 is equally compatible with the fine features of the ice, then this will be my next car. If not, my next car will be the Jaguar XF 20d which has a range of 731 miles. We will see what happens down the road......

You just swap it every 300 miles instead of charging it? Or why would you even change it instead of charging it?
well the advantage would be in quick 5 min change, that sounds nice, but network would have to be built to make it functional

Then you can temporarily upgrade your battery capacity for holiday travel (billed by the day), and after the holiday is over, you don't need to continue paying rent when you switch back to a small battery.

If you have 30% power left You'll be charged for another 60% with Battery swap. Every Battery on the station will be 90% charged
Yes. They do so in Norway and they will do so in Germany as well. During the beginning of subscription (not many swap stations) the swaps will be free. Sales model will follow soon.

Gen2 takes 5-6 minutes. New Gen3 swap will take less than 3 minutes.

The battery swap tech is just mind blowing to me no more 24 hr charge or 8 hr paid subscribe fast chg like tesla. Just come and go like gas car. So fast.
And even the battery will have near to no wear because nio would be taking care of that for ya.
