I like vegito too. But gogeta takes the cake. Hes the underdog compared to Vegito because of the fact that Vegito is overhyped. Ofc the writers are gunna appreciate him more. Vegito never stood a chance with Zamasu regardless of the timing of the arc compared to the Broly movie with Gogeta. Gogeta turned blue, and it was over. Vegito turned blue and pulled a ssj4 gogeta.
Also IMO, Vegito takes after Goku in regards of his playfulness and vegeta's arrogance mixed into one. Making his battle with Buy that much more prolonged. Gogeta in Fusion reborn had this sense of Justice like Goku with the savage nature of vegeta to end that shit quick. Thats gow i personally feel they tried to write Gogeta alot different than Vegito. To establish to characteristics alot differently. And get fans to understand that. Ssj4 gogeta and ssb gogeta imo were way too similar to vegito for my liking but still held their own to get that battle done with the best way they could. Even if SSJ4 Gogeta didnt managed to get the chance to defeat Omega

SSJ4 Gogeta is my favourite fusion due to his badass demeanor. When he first was introduced in GT, the animators didn't even bother to animate him when Omega Shenron charged him, deciding to demonstrate his ludacris speed in the simplest and coldest way possible. A lot of the times, he's not even using his hands while fighting. He just keeps his arms crossed and kicks you while smirking.
Plus the Big Bang Kamehameha is really cool too.

Z Gogeta (Fusion reborn) is my favorite of the Gogetas. Even though he had 1 minute + of screen time, it had so much going on.
#1. Gogeta (Good) vs Janemba (evil). Gogeta appears as a SSJ with a mean/determined face that lights up the area. This to me symbolizes Gogeta is the ray of light coming to save the day which leads me to my next point.
#2. Gogeta feels like an angelic being in comparison to Jenemba being the devil. Gogeta effortlessly slides at Janemba with rainbow/white attacks, with perfect and elegant movements while Janemba uses devil-ish and Sparatic dark movements. It's like "God's children punishes the demons on judgment day" (Christians will know).
#3 God's mercy on the sinner. Gogeta's "Soul Punisher" destroys and erases Janemba's evil nature. Cleansing him of his wicked ways. The boy that remained is spared giving the impression that Gogeta hates/Destroys the sin while loving the sinner in question. A lot of stuff in those moments I know.

Something that I loved about SSJ4 Gogeta was the setup; unlike with every other instance of Goku and Vegeta having to fuse; this time it was Vegeta who came up with the idea. It really showed how much he had changed since Z; he saw the threat, he understood what was necessary and even though he still didn't like the idea of fusion itself, he put that aside because he knew it would work and was their only hope (at the time). I'd like to think that's also why he gets so frustrated after it ends early; he had the perfect plan and it was going to work; but an unforeseen issue with how powerful SSJ4 Gogeta was caused it to fail.
Also can we call out how amazing the credits song for Movie 12, "The Strongest Fusion" is?

Nicely enough, the Super Gogeta one is great too for Vegeta because in the great Fusion Reborn movie finale Vegeta shows great character development with an immaculate scene between the two friends

Gogeta was definitely better handled than Vegito by the writers. Vegito vs Zamasu felt pretty even, I agree. Manga fight wasn’t much better since he defused even quicker. Putting a time limit on Potara kinda takes away what made it special. No need to equal powers, just throw earrings and fuse. They could have just used the dragon balls to defuse, but whatever I guess. Even then, they could be “too strong for the potaras” and defuse in minutes. Fusion dance will be more stable since the created warrior is a result of two fighters with perfect ki control equating said ki. Although, SSJ4 was also “too strong to remain stable” but the portrayal was better. He still managed to reverse the negative energy surrounding the planet.
Gogeta vs Broly is peak.
Putting a time limit on Potara fusions with no supreme kai is in the fusion does take way the specialty of it, but they had to do it to explain why Vegito unfused back into Goku and Vegeta. Am I saying it was a good call no bit I'm seeing it on their side of the story.

I don't think Gogeta was trying to kill Broly at the end, it's more like putting him to sleep, knocking him out. Broly is just too strong, that attack could not certainly kill him, imo. And he didn't kill Frieza because he was hoping Frieza could change (maybe?). I mean, it's pretty similar to every other antagonist: Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, androids, and so on. They were enemies, then with a greater enemy they became partners and later on friends. Except for becoming friends, Frieza checks every box.

While i don't like DBS Gogeta that much, i loved him in Z and GT. In Z he was the serious beast that was a nice contrast to Vegito. And in GT, sure he goofed around, but it was purely to both embarrass and agitate Omega, taunting him into using the Negative Karma Ball attack to turn it into Positive energy instead. He would've killed Omega if he stayed fused for like another minute.

Ssj4 gogeta is probably the cleanest character in dragonball history. But he goofed around too much when he could have used the soul punisher on the earth and on omega.

I think gogeta is the only fusion thats ever won a major fight now that i think about it someone correct me if im wrong but its only been gogeta. Vegito never won a major fight and neither has gotenks.

To be fair vegito fought an enemy that was immortal and for buu he wanted to get absorbed but didn’t know potara had a time limit. If gogeta was in either of the fights vegito had or the other way around the outcomes would have probably stayed the same.

Apparently a lot of people don't know this but Gogeta was originally supposed to fight buuhan but created Vegito because he didn't want it to be too similar to the fusion reborn movie which was already in development. So that means in an alternate universe where fusion reborn never existed, Gogeta would have handled the situation exactly the same as Vegito. Same for Goku black arc

This argument is not it. It's not that I'm entirely disagreeing with your take, and you also pointed out a lot of the facts. But you're missing some key details.
Your argument is running off of a few bases that don't accurately scale which fusion is better. One, you're basing it off of who won what. Vegito is 0-2 and Gogeta actually has some Ws. *Just because you're right doesn't mean it's a good argument fam.* Let me first state my own opinion here: I think Vegito is better before a certain level of power, but then Gogeta is better afterwards.
The better way to think about this is to put the other fusion into the shoes of the opposite side. Here's a good one, what if it was Gogeta vs Buuhan? Well, they would either immediately kill them because they would know there's a time limit, or they would attempt the same Vegito trick, but then fail. They would fail because they defused almost immediately upon it happening as Vegito. He didn't overuse any power, hinting it had taken them an hour of manhandling Buu to finally get him to absorb Vegito. *As a sidenote, Gohan's pride must be fucking immense to make it take this long.* Without a doubt, Vegito was better in this position.
However, Super shows us some information that gets sort of.. overlooked. Vegito vs Zamasu and Gogeta vs Broly actually grants a LOT more insight that settles this debate, so long as you take notice. Vegito ends up defusing due to using too much power, and notably, they are weaker than Gogeta. Gogeta only defuses after the battle is over, and he used the type of power that would have made Vegito defuse. Given that both Goku and Vegeta are well adapted to SSJ Blue by this point in the manga AND anime, it's a weird argument to say they ran out of their individual powers. This sounds a lot more like it was the EARRINGS' limits.
Now, let's look at SSJ4 Gogeta. Here's the thing: without a potara retcon, it's obvious that Vegito wins this. However, he would defuse almost immediately if the 1 hour limit is in effect. It's quite simple: we already established that Gogeta didn't defuse against Broly, putting this battle at a level far above that one (assuming we are retconning). This is because Gogeta ALSO defused to using too much power. In turn, this just means Vegito would have failed even more miserably against Omega, as he would have gotten cocky and assumed he was fused forever. Even if he were aware of the limit, he would still defuse faster than Gogeta.
The time limits are based off of different limiters. The Dance is more of the users' mastery, and the Potara is more of the users' power. If mortal warriors who use Potara are stronger than what its limiter entails, then they are better off using the dance. Otherwise, the earrings ARE better.
There is another part to this debate though: the techniques. Even if it's the same two people, you can't deny that they both seem to have techniques exclusive to their fused self, just like Gotenks. Even if they're capable of using all of them, well.. they don't. It's possible to argue that they used the new ideas based on the opponent at hand, but I also have my doubts on that one. Why wouldn't Vegito use the Stardust Breaker on an evil being like Zamasu then? Gogeta had no problem trying it on Broly, who isn't even evil in his base form.
EDIT: Oh wait, also about the SSB Vegito vs Zamasu deal: that fight unironically has two different canons altogether. Manga and anime canon are hella different, but this fight is what was even crazier. For one, Vegito was man handling Zamasu in the manga so badly to the point where Shin had to open his fat mouth, getting the famed Beerus quote we all heard back then. In the anime, well, I got the same impression you did for the most part. Seemed like Vegito was outplaying him tactically the whole fight, but Zamasu was growing stronger at the same time.
Gogeta would need to go SSJ2 to even stand a chance against Buuhan and probably SSJ3 to survive the Super Ghost Kamikaze Kamehameha-Masenko/Galick Gun combo
@@FiremarioflowerWhile he probably would need it, SSJ2 does more than just stand a chance. The part that would get tricky is when Buu began tearing the universe, but from what I can tell that happened after 30 minutes. He would have defused by then.
There IS also the argument of his Stardust Breaker, Soul Punisher, whichever you prefer to call it. Given that it destroys negative energy so easily, that could have been the plot point to getting Gohan and the rest back.

Didn't Vegito last 40 minutes in his fight with zamasu. I could be wrong though. Also in the Goku black arc they were using an imperfect ssb. In the broly movie they were using a mastered version. This is also probably why the hair looks darker in the movie

Even though according to what the original canon rules between Potara and Dance from the Buu Saga stated that would make Vegito stronger than Gogeta, Gogeta is the fusion of the personality aspects that make Goku and Vegeta credible, whereas Vegito is the fusion of the personality aspects that can make Goku and Vegeta insufferable. The only exception is SSJ4 Gogeta acting more like Vegito than himself, because he doesn’t act righteous like Goku, and he doesn’t become ruthless like Vegeta. Gogeta in Fusion Reborn and the Broly movie was a righteous yet ruthless warrior.
But Gogeta didn’t beat Broly though. Broly got saved by the Dragon Balls so I wouldn’t call that a real win.

Like you need to understand that all those galaxy or universe visual reactions to a characters power are just that, visuals. They aren't an indicator of a characters power. When Vegito Blue was formed, the Galaxy didn't react to his power like it did Z Gogeta's either. So what, are you saying that Z Gogeta is stronger than Blue Vegito? The real answer for that difference in visuals is that one is a movie character with a high budget for special effects, while the other is a character from a show that had a strict schedule with rushed episodes. That's it. Visuals are not indicators for power.

At the current time, although potaras are better to use due to being easy and not requiring the exact amount of power,The only Advantage Vegito has over gogeta is his Time limit. Otherwise Vegito will defuse Midway. Gogeta himself claimed that this time his power just not multiplied, But it's insignificantly magnified. In the guildbook it was stated that Fusion not only has a better balance, but it also draws out the power to max the fuion stats. There was another statement that if their fight was happened to be like 30 mins, gogeta would win but if the fight happens to be more than 30 mins, Vegito would win since gogeta will defuse to Vegeta and goku. And if we go based on statements, The 30 mins time limits allows the gogeta to raise, go beyond and reach higher power to end the opponent fast. But potaras aren't meant for powerful mortals which resulted in Vegito having a timer and transforming drains the timer even faster. Not to mention it also has a power limit which will lead to Vegito getting defused under 30 mins considering Vegito defused cuz of using too much of his power.

I like the original Gogeta more (Fusion Reborn) since his demeanor was all seriousness, no bullshit. The one in the Super Broly movie and DBF felt like Vegito again. SS4 Gogeta was kinda like Gotenks but I still like him.

Regardless, at the end of the day, Vegito will always be the stronger fusion out of the two for two simple reasons: 1. The stronger fighter has to nerf their power slightly to perfectly match the other in the fusion dance, while the potara automatically factors in their power. 2. The time limit for the potara is around twice as long as the fusion dance. Also keep in mind that movie Goku and Vegeta have higher scaling than their canon self and the beings that Vegito fought were practically freaking immortals, it took Zeno to finish Zamasu and I doubt Broly was even stronger than Beerus let alone Zeno. But when it comes down to it, how strong Vegito and Gogeta are largely depends on Goku and Vegeta's power, not their opponents, and since the potara are the superior fusion method then no matter when they decide to fuse, Vegito will always be the better fusion.
i think you forget that in the fusion reborn movie the reason Gogeta energy was felt all throughout the universe was because hell and the universe were unstable because of jenemba evil energy causing a muck even when Goku went ssj3 in that movie everyone in the universe (earth, the afterlife, and so on) so is it really that much of a feat on gogeta's part if Goku did almost the exact same thing in 3 not trying to downplay gogeta I love him as much as Vegito(they are literally the same person/different counterparts) but the feat was there because of how unstable everything was you can look back just to correct me if I'm wrong haven't seen Fusion Rebron in a couple of years

With Super Vegito, they stood a better chance against his crazy techniques as well, like the Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack which is way more powerful than the user, as SSJ Gotenks also demonstrated. In some cases ,Super Vegito even had to block his punches, he was knocked back by the Terror of the Universe scream that Buuhan did and he had to Instant Tramsission out of the Kamehameha-Gallick Gun/Masenko combo that the Super Buu Ghosts did on him.
Base Vegito would've never survived that, nor would he be a match for the turn-into-candy- technique or the invade-your-body- technique.

Vegito has only gotten to fight against opponents he’s not allowed to finish for one reason or another
Add to the fact that vegito went blue at a time were blue was a newer transformation and hadn’t been mastered yet thus he defused due to the lack of knowledge on blue
And if we talking about irl. Gogeta pops up in movies were there isn’t a need to move the plot along whole vegito shows up in an episodic format were he is on a limited budget and irl time limit.
Gogeta is allowed to show out while vegito gets a few episodes and that’s it.
Vegito is stronger, better, cooler, more fun and entertaining, he accomplished the goals he needed such as getting his frinds off of buu and damaging zamasui enough to weaken his regen (said by gowasu). His fighting style is more raw, better personality. Ss4 gogeta literally fumbles for no reason unlkie vegito and how comvinient for gogeta to win in MOVIES not even apearing in the main show.

Not only is it a movie so the animation, and music would be better than the anime’s, but the fusion reborn movie takes place before super buu is born, which means super vegito is already stronger than super gogeta due to there being a stronger goku and begets fusing during buuhans rain. I’m not saying gogetas wasnt badass, but it was a movie, the entire feel is gonna be different from the anime.
2. “Ssj4 gogeta is the most powerful ring in dragon ball “

Honestly, that answer changes with the new dragon ball material, but from what I've seen, they're both are practically identical, almost even in power, with the defining factor being how they fused and can go either way. I personally think the current Vegito would be victorious over Gogeta. Here is my reasoning.
Vegito has a longer time limit over Gogeta, though it is no so clear-cut since it would be up to writers and creators of the Dragon Ball series. Both of them has overtaxed their energy quick enough to end their fusion less than ten minutes. Vegito has more of flexibility and slight power advantage over Gogeta, and that he’d be more of strategic while the latter is able to use their power with no consequences so it’s would be safer way to say Gogeta would run out of juice first. Remember when it was stated that fusion dance requires the guests to match their power similar enough? Vegito's fusion through the Potara earrings has been depicted as stronger in the Dragon Ball series (and official sources), as it doesn't have the same power matching restriction as the Fusion Dance.
P.S There is alternate ending of the Raging Blast fight where Vegito is victorious, his victory depicted as more decisive than Gogeta due to him having a shorter time limit.

The form Gogeta is using in the Broly movie is "Perfected Super Saiyan Blue" which Vegito, during his time in existence in the Zamasu Saga did not get to use. Gogeta was using Perfected Super Saiyan Blue = No Stamina Drain/No Ki Drain. Vegito was using Imperfect Super Saiyan Blue = SSJ3 Level Stamina Drain/ SSJ3 Level Ki Drain. If Vegito appeared again and could use Perfected Super Saiyan Blue as well, he would not defuse early like Gogeta.
Edit: I was also drawing a comparison between Gogeta with Imperfect Super Saiyan Blue and the current Vegito. I apologise if my explanation was unclear earlier.

Potara fusion is stated to always be a little stronger than metamoran fusion, and thats not counting the rival boost goku and vegeta get during fusion. Also its not fair to compare gogeta and vegito from 2 separate arcs. The broly movie takes place a year after the zamasu saga, and is 2 arcs after it.

Vegito has many guidebooks, guides, retcons, and in manga/anime statements that prove why he's stronger and better. Actually I tend to agree with most of what you say but it ins't true that Super Buuhan got weaker. As he got angrier, he got more powerful, till the point that Super Vegito was even in trouble for a moment
1. He had to block Super Buuhan's punches when he teleported out of the water and attacked him
2. He was knocked back by Buuhan's terror of the universe scream

LOL this man just debunked his own statement by his own arguments. Vegeta was the SAME in power, he says. Right, this SAME Vegeta in SSJ2 is able to outsmart and hit Super Janemba who's only so mighty cuz of his warp abilities LOL.
