Also they changed Soul Punisher so all the rules it followed in DBZ it doesn’t apply here so anybody saying it erases evil, it doesn’t, it works exactly like the one handed Spirit Bomb from Saiyan Saga but is a critical hit to all. Akira isn’t just going to keep the same rules with Gogeta if he isn’t with the others. That’s why personally I think Gogeta is mid from Super meanwhile GT Gogeta was absolutely perfected and should’ve been kept rather than this one. Since GT Gogeta could’ve followed the rules of Soul Punisher but he didn’t cause it doesn’t work like that after Z. Gogeta literally purified Omega Shenron's Negative Karma Ball. It is literally made up of minus energy and hatred. It's not Soul Punisher, but it's following the same properties.

The answer really is: We don't know. So, it's not far off to say Soul Punisher didn't work on Broly simply because... *he's not evil.* Not that it didn't "follow the rules."

The "milly rock" that gogeta was doing is actually a very basic fist deflection you learn in karate. Shows just how angry broly was and how in control of the fight gogeta was.

The larger your opponent the more likely you are to use what Gogeta did as it can deflect an opponents fist above you and give a clean hit to the stomach. The circle version (I forget the exact name) is the same way except you deflect horizontally instead of vertically. You use that on same size or smaller opponents instead. You’re basically just preparing your hands to move an opponents mid swing to create an opening.

The animation in this film is insane. I just wish we got this kind of animation quality from the start back in the 80s (although, the Dragon Ball films have always been pretty good with animation).

I think a lot of people's issues with Super's fights nowadays is they're moving so fast we can't even see the choreography anymore. In Z, with the Goku vs Kid Buu fight, the choreography was immaculate. I kinda wanna see more of that in Super, but I know we prolly won't get it since it's different animation style.
I'm not saying I hate Super's style of fighting, different animators than Z, newer era than Z, it makes sense, in fact it's kinda starting to grow on me. But man, I miss Z's style 😭
