I've been impressed by this young guy. I'm 52 ive had 2 crs. 87 125 - 1982 cr 125. I am a Honda guy myself. I appreciate this guys ambition and his choices in life. He's dedicated to relentlessly getting these neglected dirt bikes brought back to life. The Japanese people would honor you for what you do. I'm hoping there's many more people out there doing exactly what he's doing. Motorcycle junk yards are full of these old bikes. Anyone reading my comment please consider visiting an old bike Yard and bringing 1 home and giving cpr to an old cr.🙂 👍💯🔥

A good way to free up your clutch plates without destroying your transmission is send it up a steep incline (on street) in high gear wide open with the clutch lever pulled in (High gear high load) The torque put on the plates will free them up and it doesn't involve slamming your trans into gear and potentially damaging anything or over revving the motor. Worked on my YL2C trailmaster. Not to mention you don't have to pull the clutch cover

That piston slap is easier to hear in air cooled bikes and the manufacturers didn't bother installing rubber dampeners between the fins on their race bikes. They were more concerned with keeping the engines as cool as they could, even jetting them a bit rich for the cooling evict. Engine sounds fine.

I had a friend of mine a long time ago that had 79 CR250 and he knew the throttle cable had a bad spot in it. He wanted to ride real bad so he rode the woods anyway and as soon as he turned the corner throttle cable stuck wide open and threw him off the bike. The bike laid on its side running wide open. We all had to pick the bike up and get it against a tree get it cut off. Ha ha it was almost like running a chainsaw. But it hurt him bad.

Sell it, I'd doesn't make sense financially to restore it with the price of parts unless you're in love with it

Even though it would be costly having a bike like this brings back memories for some people and they would pay tons of money for it
