Anyone who has ever been camping has never used a hair dryer for it’s intended purpose 😂. I’ve spent many hours drying clothes, shoes, warming myself up with the trusty old hair dryer.

I have the same boots, best thing I ever bought. Great for walking or riding, and they have never leaked a drop despite some monsoon style riding. Need to plan for a trip next year to keep me sane through the winter.
Most of the parts of the bunker you went into are the ammo stores! Thays why they had an entrance but were dead end! Normally used for storing ammo for cannons or anti aircraft!
I saw a sign that said they had a full museum enterance but unfortunately I would have missed my ferry! I do intend to come back at some point though because it was wildly interesting! I would have loved to have had more of a snoop around more of the bunkers but a lot were flooded!
@@SaffySprocketthe drone footage at 1min 16 sec you can see what i think is the platforms for the artillary. The metal rings are what the legs would run along when rotating.
@@SaffySprocketit was the 10th battery (artillary) and the museum is in the old personel bunker!
Your commentary when riding down the grassy wet hill then the gravel reminded me of a few times on 650 lb BMW 1200rt doing the same thing. Sounded exactly like what was going through my head as well! At night turn your boots upside down so the water will move from the toes and soles by gravity. They will dry so much faster. Also, if you have removable liners, take them out while the boots are drying. If you have to use the laces to hang them from a tent pole upside down, just draw the laces around the notch by the heel and then tie them off. It makes a world of difference.

Hi, something to consider, tether the Garmin InReach to your body, on your jacket in an easily accessible place. If you fall off an injure yourself (heaven forbid) you may not be able to reach it or get to the bike.
Something like a Carabiner climbing clip that locks/screws tight to prevent it opening. Seen most ADV vloggers wear the Inreach somewhere on the jacket chest/lapel area which is reachable with both hands.

Your videos are excellent, but in my opinion what sets you apart from others is the way you describe your observations of the things you see around you. Everything from the tone of your voice to your description of what you see really sets you apart. I don't really know what you do to earn a living when not riding, but if you're not some kind of professional writer or motivational speaker I think you may have missed your true calling. P.S. Love your hair

I've been there with the wet boots! 😖 Sealskinz waterproof socks are on my list of essentials for long distance, all-weather touring. Not cheap but a worthwhile investment. Edit: PS put them on your shopping list with the vacuum bags!

Last month I did a 2 week 3200 mile tour of Spain/France, last day was 720 mile from Poole to Skye & I loved every minute of it! Initial anxiety & doubts were dampened down with, If Sprocket can do it, whats my excuse? Thanks for helping. Your opening monolouge was perfect.

Flip flops when camping, don’t take up any room
Wet boots are fixed with a cheap plastic shopping bag or two over your socks before you put your boot on. Works a treat! 😊

Only as. A short term fix though, as your feet will sweat more, a big cause of trench foot !
I stuff my boots with paper towels over night when wet. These pull out the water just great. 😊

I traveled alone on my Honda vfr to the Isle of Man and back to Stavanger Norway in june. Watching this makes me want to go back. I really loved the Island and loved riding alone. Safe travels ❤

Evening Staffy Sprocket. I have to agree, your hair does look great. Wanna laugh? Guess who left his full face crash helmet outside in a Welsh feild upside down by the tent once! And being Wales it just had to rain hard on our last night. My wife said I looked a right plonker riding home along the M4 with a Tesco's bag hanging out everywhere 😂? But I made full use of the heater in a motorway service station. But it really didn't help. Once home my helmet sat for three days over the radiator drying... I did check but there was no way of removing the internal padding. It smelled better after that, so every cloudceah? My wife once loved visiting those old places. Shame that it seems lessons still can't be learned although we're now in 2023. Safe cruising and see you in your next upload 😊👍.

Unfortunately you didn’t get to see a whole bunch on the bunkers.. But it is cool to still be able to see them… Your hair does look all nice and fluffy… but the boot just might be almost completely your fault.
They were so fascinating, I kept looking at them wondering how on earth people managed to live underground. It must have been so miserable

I'm home. Did 350 miles on a 1991 Kawasaki Voyager, complete with luxury comfy seat, big enough even for my butt. And OMG did my butt hurt. How on earth do you ride such a piddly small bike with its equally small seat for so many miles, especially as you have a skinny butt....? The mind boggles.@@SaffySprocket

Saffy too much talking lately in your videos. It's great with the inspirational stuff but way to much now. Rides and tours have there ups and downs but too many downs make it depressing and tours are meant to insure people to get out and go explor. Yours are making me want stay hoke under a duvet. Come on you Dan do way better videos that make us laugh and go wow.
