Love how you cut the part where it broke and then just easy peasy bolt in it to get it out and bam new one and everything back together. I'd rather have a 45 minute video of frustration
I have 2013 5.3l and mine has 3 bolts for wiring harness bracket 1 on bottom and 2 up top and the 1 is absolutely terrible to get out... And the sensor took me 2 1/2 alone to get it out...
I saw some videos people changed it from under the dog house , are there 2 camshaft sensors on those cars can some please verify I have 2008 gmc savanna 4.8 .
After the plastic breaking out on top and drilling out the sensor using an easy out took about 7 hours start to finish dont base your repair on this 1 video as he cuts out the hardest part of actually getting it out and acts like it was easy
Yeah you totally don't address the one little bolt thats hiding and is part of the shield. Maybe you should address the big problems and stop making it look easier than it is.!!!! So annoying.
Just one little sensor... two little boats... Yeah it's always going to be a headache working on that Chevy If you would like 50 head aches a year you should get a Tahoe 07-14 Don't sneeze on anything... it will probably shatter

That thing is stuck in there. On hour 3 of cussin and twisting that damn sensor lol.
Thank you. I have a 2007 Suburban getting P0341 randomly so I think this is my second step after I check all the wiring.
love how you just show it out without removing it
Just did mine took 4 hours omg was that thing stuck.
Do I have to do a relearn if I change the sensor . Or for the camshaft position sensor, do I have to do a relearn or just plug and play
Mine just broke off. Going to try the screw method.

which one is bank 1 and 2 located
Just use the "11 inch long reach hose jaw pliers" you will need muscle but I got it out in less then an hour

Would anyone know if a faulty crank position sensor would prohibit the vehicle from starting
Mine broke can’t pull it out any suggestions?
That's definitely a camshaft sensor. Why are you people who don't have a clue what you're talking about undermining this guy's video
That is the exact way to remove the CMP sensor (camshaft position sensor) on a 07 gmc yukon 6.2 engine which has 1 extra bolt
Is it the same for a 2014!chevy Silverado ?
Y’all really need to specify what engine y’all are doing this to.
Same thing happened to mines replaced it but the check engine light still on what else do I do

Isn't that the Crank position sensor, not the Cam position sensor. I thought the Cam Position Sensor went behind the intake manifold.

Depends on the year vehicle
Man that second number two bolt is a doozy
Is this the 4.8 or the 5.3?
On 4.8ltr 20011 there's a 3rd screw,10mm on left behind crank flywheel, it's no easy but can loosen, sensor broke, this is not sn easy job, 7 pkus hrs
Just one little sensor... two little boats...

yea some people call it the same thing but they are not
that IS the cam sensor. The crank sensor on a gm 5.3 is above the starter on the passenger side of the block. Frickin trolls.
That's the crank sensor
You have no idea please stop showing your videos
That’s not a cam sensor
That's the crank sensor😂
This is the crankshaft sensor.
