I think Reviewbrah would be the first to admit everyone has thier biases. Look at the Coke vs Pepsi blind taste test, for example -- he was a life-long Coke drinker, always prefered Coke, but when he did the blind test he actually liked the Pepsi more. Why did he think he liked Coke more? Brand association? Advertising? Maybe his family are Coke lovers? Who knows. But for whatever reason he had a bias for Coke over Pepsi.
"Groundbreaking... this is it right here... I don't know if it is, but it sounds good anyway." It's this subtle humour and complete honesty that keeps me coming back.
I'll be very honest. You get the five-dollar box, you get that, plus a Chalupa Supreme AND a taco and Drink! I got it today, cannot be beaten for price. I loved the Crispy Melt and love me some Chalupas. I'll keep ordering that until they take it away, 9/10 on my scale.

@@Cynsham I figured I answered my own question lol. Thanks for your response. I remember in 2011, Taco Bell released the limited time Cantina tacos. These were street style tacos wrapped in aluminum foil with a lime slice with each. This is the one item that Taco bell never brought back and its a shame.
They come in a cardboard protective case, so they remain intact @at the point-of-purchase; take one bite, and they shatter like a Christmas ornament on a tile floor.
I don't watch TV and don't have cable, so the only way I know taco bell has a new item is from you. Unbiased, no BS, honest review of the item. And I'm on my way there now because they just built one only five minutes from my house.
The layers of this taco are only surpassed by the layers of deadpan humor you laid on in this episode, ReviewBrah! Also, the way you ate it gave me serious anxiety, and I'm not an anxious person normally. You really like living on the edge my man and, my anxiety aside, your reckless consumption of this product was truly a sight to behold!
I had one today and it's perhaps the messiest fast food item I've ever had. (But so worth it!) The shell is even crunchier than their normal crunchy shell so it's like breaking all over.

Sir, it appears that you have gotten a very well constructed taco. I've been going to Taco Bell all my life and it is what it is, however, the other week I ordered a #1 which I guess is a 3 pc hard shell taco meal that was way overpriced. The only thing was, when I got home, I opened these things and I had NEVER in my life seen such dedication to taco building. I've seen sloppy ones, I've seen skimpy ones, and I've seen lousy ones... but these 3 tacos I got were made by an Angel with precise technical ability and finesse. Layers were perfectly constructed. You should be honored Mr. Brah to have received such a gift amongst lies.

No one is paid enough to care that much, unless you're a regular who treats the employees well.

I'm not sure you’ll see this, but I live in Wisconsin and want to let you know at Culver's, they will have cheese curd burgers for one day only on October 15th. Minimal supply, only two boxes of cheese curd patties from what local managers have said per location.

I jiggled some wires and got the passenger window to go down tho but I didnt like the idea of going thru in reverse. It's too far to reach across. How do they even do drive thrus where they drive on the opposite side of the road?
Taco Bell had something like this in the 80s. I think it was called a Taco Lite. Same shell as their taco salad. I really liked it and have been waiting for it’s return.

Not gonna lie whoever made that taco made a beautiful work of flavorful art. But in no way could I ever eat Taco Bell without their delicious TB sauces. That shell looks yummy & if the employees were all competent enough to fallow this uniform look I would love to try it.

I worked at Taco Bell in the late 80's and they had the Taco Light witch was a huge success. It was a large taco and the shell was a deep fried flower tortilla. Huge success at the time. Just a bit of info, the wrapper had a foil lining on the outside and cost the company 5c each.
I've enjoyed your videos for some time now but this one hit me in like a next level sort of way... like there was a nuance to it that I wasn't ready for but in entirely good ways. That Jupiter layer comparison was the icing on the cake. Somehow that, in spite of being random and obscure and... barely contextual but logical enough... just was exactly where my mind was already going at that point and I was like "no way, man..." On the one hand, you annoy me because I spend more money on fast food after watching your videos lol but at the same time I mostly don't regret that and I'll see new things on menus and wonder what they are and I won't be all that interested but then I'll watch these reviews and immediately want to try them even if you say they aren't good. Also, that black napkin is classy as fuck. Big fistbump for that.
I'm a weight lifting meat head who maintains a strict diet with virtually 0 fast food in my diet, yet I watch all of this dudes videos just because of his awesome personality. Always brightens my day.
BTW, he is doing the same for me. I need to lose weight and avoid fast food. I am tempted by all the ads. He does the screening for me. Unless he finds a five star quality and price bargain, I can pass on it. I recall the pizza/calzone from Little Ceasars. Never been to Little Ceasars but I love calzones. After seeing the video, I wasn't tempted to try it.
Lol when he says "groundbreaking" it means that a building is going to be built because the taco is so good. But that's why they have Taco Bell because they are groundbreakingly good in Jesus mighty name. Praise Jesus. I could totally see Reviewbrah with like a skull ring on one hand and maybe a silver and onyx ring on the other. With his pale skin and perfectly manicured nails and the absolute authority with which he delivers his reviews - it would add to his already impressive persona. Dude could easily rock a cape as well, black of course.
Tried this out today for myself. No cap, this is probably my new favorite item on menu. Had everything you’d want from Taco Bell comprised in a single taco with a tasty crisp shell. Pretty reminiscent of how the restaurant used to taste back in the day, if anyone remembers. It’s that much of a flavor experience. 🌮
The black bean one is kind of a different experience, the beans are saucier than the beef so the shell around it breaks down faster. Tacos are a classic messy food, the taco is supposed to crack but with the black bean it shatters.
I find it funny that I haven’t eaten fast food or a store bought/frozen pizza in nearly 5 years yet I always enjoy watching your videos with a genuine interest. You’re a good man, and you make solid content. Thank you for your efforts and your work!
Starting out, wings flying had my full attention LOL. Love watching your food reviews, they are spot on and this new taco looks really nice and Fresh as you stated. Thanks so much for sharing and making me want one of the now for sure.
I really appreciated the points you made about the ingredients standing out in almost an a la carte fashion. The 7 layer burrito used to be my go to item at Taco Bell, mostly for the price, the plethora of ingredients was also enjoyable. The downside was when the item was put together poorly, and 60% of the burrito was just sour cream. Of course, since the burrito was closed up, I wouldn't know until I took a bite, a problem that would be (or at least, should be) impossible to fall trap too for this new taco item. The visibility of ingredients will hopefully force the utmost effort of all taco chefs.
I just love when he gets so animated reading the description or telling a story because you can see in his face sometimes he wants to laugh but can tell he holds it in... Just laugh damn you 😅
these are SOOOO good! when they came out, i ordered the black bean version on ubereats like twice a week lol. what really makes it is just that it’s a fresh fried shell! it’s so simple, it doesn’t even *need* the cheese! they should replace the normal hard shell tacos with these permanently! taco bell pleaseeeee i never eat the regular hardshell tacos anymore because they always taste… musty? so i rarely eat taco bell.. what’s the point of getting soft tacos at taco bell? i could get real mexican food instead! but these fresh hard shells made taco bell tacos worth eating again! for one short month, taco bell was my favorite fast food place again 😭
I saw this item the other day and my mom tried to get one cuz it was on their app but after ordering them they told us they couldn't make them they didn't have any of them items yet 🥺🥺 glad to see they are out now :p
Nice review and I'll have to try this. I'm pretty sure that mine will have half as much stuff in the shell as yours because that's what my Taco Bell does. They give you the least amount for your money, but I'll probably get the full laxative effect.

This looks just like an item they had in the 80's called "the taco light". Anyone old enough to remember that?? It was SO SO good. They discontinued it cause the shell was deep fried in oil and it was so unhealthy. Man. That was good. I'll have to try this one, see how it compares.

It's not bad, though the only thing I'd change is the "cheese" sauce. It makes the taco much more salty than it has to be.

I've enjoyed your videos for some time now but this one hit me in like a next level sort of way... like there was a nuance to it that I wasn't ready for but in entirely good ways. That Jupiter layer comparison was the icing on the cake. Somehow that, in spite of being random and obscure and... barely contextual but logical enough... just was exactly where my mind was already going at that point and I was like "no way, man..." On the one hand, you annoy me because I spend more money on fast food after watching your videos lol but at the same time I mostly don't regret that and I'll see new things on menus and wonder what they are and I won't be all that interested but then I'll watch these reviews and immediately want to try them even if you say they aren't good. Also, that black napkin is classy as fuck. Big fistbump for that.

I'm a weight lifting meat head who maintains a strict diet with virtually 0 fast food in my diet, yet I watch all of this dudes videos just because of his awesome personality. Always brightens my day.
He's consuming all that fast food so you don't have to.
BTW, he is doing the same for me. I need to lose weight and avoid fast food. I am tempted by all the ads. He does the screening for me. Unless he finds a five star quality and price bargain, I can pass on it. I recall the pizza/calzone from Little Ceasars. Never been to Little Ceasars but I love calzones. After seeing the video, I wasn't tempted to try it.

I could totally see Reviewbrah with like a skull ring on one hand and maybe a silver and onyx ring on the other. With his pale skin and perfectly manicured nails and the absolute authority with which he delivers his reviews - it would add to his already impressive persona. Dude could easily rock a cape as well, black of course.
Tried this out today for myself. No cap, this is probably my new favorite item on menu. Had everything you’d want from Taco Bell comprised in a single taco with a tasty crisp shell. Pretty reminiscent of how the restaurant used to taste back in the day, if anyone remembers. It’s that much of a flavor experience. 🌮
The black bean one is kind of a different experience, the beans are saucier than the beef so the shell around it breaks down faster. Tacos are a classic messy food, the taco is supposed to crack but with the black bean it shatters.
I had the meat one today. As someone from South Texas, we don't do the black bean out here as much. We're more Pinto's

I really appreciated the points you made about the ingredients standing out in almost an a la carte fashion. The 7 layer burrito used to be my go to item at Taco Bell, mostly for the price, the plethora of ingredients was also enjoyable. The downside was when the item was put together poorly, and 60% of the burrito was just sour cream. Of course, since the burrito was closed up, I wouldn't know until I took a bite, a problem that would be (or at least, should be) impossible to fall trap too for this new taco item. The visibility of ingredients will hopefully force the utmost effort of all taco chefs.

these are SOOOO good! when they came out, i ordered the black bean version on ubereats like twice a week lol.
what really makes it is just that it’s a fresh fried shell! it’s so simple, it doesn’t even *need* the cheese! they should replace the normal hard shell tacos with these permanently! taco bell pleaseeeee i never eat the regular hardshell tacos anymore because they always taste… musty? so i rarely eat taco bell.. what’s the point of getting soft tacos at taco bell? i could get real mexican food instead!
but these fresh hard shells made taco bell tacos worth eating again! for one short month, taco bell was my favorite fast food place again 😭
I saw this item the other day and my mom tried to get one cuz it was on their app but after ordering them they told us they couldn't make them they didn't have any of them items yet 🥺🥺 glad to see they are out now :p
Nice review and I'll have to try this. I'm pretty sure that mine will have half as much stuff in the shell as yours because that's what my Taco Bell does. They give you the least amount for your money, but I'll probably get the full laxative effect.

This looks just like an item they had in the 80's called "the taco light". Anyone old enough to remember that?? It was SO SO good. They discontinued it cause the shell was deep fried in oil and it was so unhealthy. Man. That was good. I'll have to try this one, see how it compares.
