The Problem with FGC Characters in Smash Ultimate

  • In Smash Bros Ultimate the FGC characters are insanely good, a little too good. This is my problem with the FGC characters in smash ultimate.

    I pretty much agree, but watching them at top level can be really fun, especially Asimo

    Theres no shame in rant
    I play all the fgc and i think yoshi does well vs all them
    if u want advice vs them you have to first realized that their combos are mostly all sdi/di dependant ,ryu ken terry can do alot of damage or dont
    They can kill really early or completely miss confirm its all on if they read your sdi/di theres a few characters like this (bayo,sora as some examples) you have to be able to mix up any and all directions even In it could save u
    Theres a ton of variables rage (makes their combos more true) different sdi/di routes opens different combos
    Heres a small example for terry
    If hes jabbing u and he does jab jab u can sdi in or out this alone changes alot if u sdi in his heavy power dunk will miss 100% if he does light power dunk it can miss unless they delay they moves as much as possible (only higher level terry's do this) but they get minimal damage and only do 25%? Only kills early near edge but if they really wanna punish ur sdi in theyll do up B itll always connect sdi in but how do you avoid that consistent kill confirm? Well sdi out and youll fall out punishing him for free
    That was just a small excample they all got stuff like this hope this helps 👍

    The inputs do not get fixed by auto turnaround, at all. Most of the time if you’re doing an input that after turning around, they have to react within that time to get the proper special cancels, and Kazuya doesn’t have special cancels at all.
    Food for thought.

    the turnaround is inaccurate to traditional fighting games too considering that crossing someone up in a 2d fighter will just get them hit. i feel like there should just be a slight buffer to the turnaround
