That was an awesome Father's Day surprise. As the father of two girls, I can assure you there is nothing more rewarding that seeing your children mature into young adults, with hobbies and passions of their own. Seeing your daughter excel at something while truly enjoying it is one of the greatest moments a father can experience. Well done!
I just recently found your channel. I watch Citation Max all the time and you showed up in my suggested. I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. Seeing you light up and smile huge whenever you get behind the yolk reminds me of my flying days. I learned to fly when I was 17/18 in a Cessna 150. There were days when I would get up before the sunrise on a clear summer day and head to the field to make sure that I could get airborne at dawn and I would fly 5-8 hours in a day. There is nothing like it. I hope you never lose your love for aviation and I certainly hope you realize your dream of becoming a humanitarian pilot. The world is a better place because of people like you! Best Wishes and Smooth Air!

Wow Bambi, You did it well. My congratulations and you did a great adventure in your longest flying day, also with your dad. Thank you Bambi for your flying videos. I want to watch more videos of you and dreaming to fly with you someday Bambi. May God make you successful everyday
Two weeks after the fun I find your channel. As a kid, I hung out at the airport and hoped for rides. (Kids, do not try this anymore.) Got many and once I started to work I took lessons. Soloed a Cessna 150 before graduating high school or getting a driver's license. My "mind" absolutely loves flying... My heart has a bad valve and the "body" doesn't take well to "fun-Gs" so I'm grounded... Long ago when my two daughters were very young, I got sick on the "kids" rides at the amusement parks. I guess I better take the "Do acrobatics at an airshow" off my childhood bucket list. Going to explore your channel... Have fun and enjoy life... Remember, if at the end of the day you're not grinning ear-to-ear; you're doing it wrong!
Glider flying is the purest, most beautiful and most rewarding kind of flying. And the most silent one. Though I am biased of course. I started to fly gliders in 1971 at EDKH. Greetings, thanks for the video. Many happy landings.
I spent Father's Day with my two daughters...it is such a wonderful feeling on such a special day... I know how your Dad felt...I wish you nothing but the best !!!...(a hint for the future, my granddaughters are older than you...life is good)...best wishes..
Lovely! We do the opposite downunder (of course we do!)... we try to fly the winter solstice... sunrise to sunset, with the fewest number of launches! (Summer solstice is easy for us... unbelievable soaring weather in Oz summer!)
enjoy your videos, as a pilot flying and owing for over 40 years cap 21, sukhoi 29, Extra 200, sback XA 42, I started gliding am in my 4th flight...Together with mountain flying and aerobatics...It's the "Grammar" of aviation handling....
Awesome video, have never done a winch launch going to have to try it one day. I fly out of Seminole - Lake Glider Port near Clermont, Florida. I own and fly a ASW 27.....
Well, the catapault makes the deck just disappear instantly. Catching the wire? "Hitting the wall". A glder landing looks even cooler than a motorized.
Greatest flying in the world to me. To all those who love to fly gliders the place to do it is on the island of Oahu. Captain Bills glider rides at Dillingham airfield. You fly the ridges overlooking Pearl Harbor and you can fly out over the pacific. Amazing soaring on those ridges great lift.
I wasn't ready either. First time I ever experienced loopings (I'm a private pilot but on motorized aircraft only, grateful my daughter took me to the next level :-)
@@PilotBambi No, unfortunately I did not pay attention. It was in summer 1992 so quite a while ago! Since then said family have gone on to international gliding championships. I found gliding to be the purest form of flight I have experienced. No engine noise, just the creaking of the wings and the altimeter peeping high and low tones due to the vertical speed.
great video, i am getting my glider pilot licence too... Even though i had some great experiences in aviation (going up to the B727) i think glinding is one of the most amazing. The towed flight is really fun too... nive video
An absolutely gorgeous cloudless day... which doesn't offer much in the way of thermals to provide lift, as I understand it, so I'm curious to know how long the flights averaged that day. Keep up the great work!
During sunrise we were only flying about 5-6 minutes. Long enough to enjoy the views and practice TO and Landings. During the afternoon we had quite some "blue thermals" (the ones that aren't given away by puffy cumulus 😊)
Wow..that winch launch looks like a blast! May I ask what kind of flight time and altitude ceiling were you getting? Is ground launching and a sustainer-motor a system that a club could use if they did not have a tow plane i wonder.. Loving all the videos so far. Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed all my video 😁 As club members we get to do unlimited winch launches throughout the year. Perfect way to practice many take-off's and landings. (it gets you up to about 400meter) On good thermal days you can manage to fly longer (my longest from the winch was 3,5 hours) Unfortunately we have a ceiling restriction of 1km due to the congested airspace...
Thanks for the coolest Father's day gift ever 😍
Glad you enjoyed it. You have quite a daughter sir. I am sure you are a proud dad. Greetings from Port Elizabeth South Africa.
you kept cool on those loops, i don´t think my father would.... lol. Nice flight.
Best community are world female Gliding champioships. Get there as a tow pilot and you'll never regret and continue to do it so.
You've raised an amazing young woman, you must be so proud of her.
Seems to me that your daughter is much like you same sort of lust for life. I see it both your eyes. Regards, Jim in NI UK

Your passion for aviation and the joy of it are remarkable...nice Father’s Day gift
Thankyou!😁 Really glad I got to take my dad flying on this special day
As a Dad I have to say that this was an AWESOME gift for your father! What a wonderful day. As always, great video!

My first ever flying lesson was in a Schweizer 2-22 when I was 14. I'm now 69. This video brought back a lot of nice memories. Thank you.
Wow, thats fantastic! Love flying the older wooden planes 😁
I love the atmosphere in the videos, the music is perfect and editing as well. Always super excited when a new video is released! Good job 👌
This makes me so happy, thankyou!!
Thanks for sharing! Must have been awesome to take your dad for a spin and to be around gliders all day long. Congrats!
So glad you enjoyed the video, it was so special to take him flying that day 😊
He must be the happiest father in the world on this day! 👍🏻🙂
I think he was 😁
Just waiting patiently for your next video...hoping you are keeping safe, and healthy, and having some fun!
Sorry for the long wait, new video will be up in a couple of hours! 😁 Hope you are staying safe too
@@PilotBambi nothing to be sorry about, 'young lady' ;-) just wondering, and, of course, hoping that all goes well with you and yours!
Alles gute!
So awesome! I cannot wait for the day I get my license!!
You are an amazing young lady. Very impressive how you try anything. Your experience is priceless. Keep up the great job.
The fog Patch that was broken up by the retrieval car and the gliders was particulary gorgeous. And great editing as usual!
Thank you! Really glad I got that on camera, it's the small details that make such a day so special 😁
Well that looked like a great day was had, you're ever so keen being up at that hour but worth the effort. Thanks for sharing

You look so happy flying!
As a Marine aviator I've flown everything fixed wing that the USMC has flown for 30 years, but I've got to get into one of these!!
I finally get to fly again tomorrow! I’m glad I got to watch this before bed❤️
Yay! Where do you fly?
Pilot Bambi I fly out of a very small airport in Southern Louisiana in the U.S.
I had no idea that a glider can be flown that way absolutely amazing, thank you
It's quite a spectacular way to take-off, lots of fun!
To say that your video was beautiful would be an understatement. This one goes straight into my Aviation archive. Thank you...
This makes me so happy! Thank you Joe
Music reminds me of Bobby Alu - Terrific flying and wonderful way to spend the longest day of the year.
Thanks Richard! 😁

Really appreciating those extra hours of daylight 😁
Thank you so much for this Dream...
I LOVE YOUR GLIDING VIDEO'S ☺️☺️
Great that you gave a wonderful fathers day gift to the person who taught you to walk. @Jan Willem Smeenk
Thanks, indeed I taught her to walk, she shows me how to fly loopings :-) I am so proud..
Bambi, loved seeing your family! My Grandfather taught navel aviators in WWII. I am so in awe of you following your dreams!!!

And a Solo! Congrats! 🎉 🍾 Always happy landings!
The shot at 0:30 is so extremely cool...
Great video. Love winch launches but I do it with my rc glider.
I’ve always wanted to learn how to fly a glider! So absolutely peaceful and beautiful 🙌🏻
You should! It's so much fun 😁
That was cool. Lost track of when you were PIC in the glider. Thanks for the close-up of the gizmo that launches the glider.
I did about 5 PIC flights that day! It's a team sport, so we are also asked to drive the cable cars or operate the winch😁
you guys are so brave...
Mooie beelden! Thanks.
great video and even greater father's day surpise! You have a lucky dad ;-)

The footage with the ground fog is really great!
Thankyou Ernst!

Love Dad.

It definitely was! 😁

Winch launches in the USA are a unicorn. Too bad because they are a "E-Ticket" ride!
Great video and cool vibes...
What a cool experience! Love it!

Great video! I thought initially "Hey that's the DG1000 with the short wingtips. Will we see a little bit of aerobatics?" I wasn't dissappointed 😁

This is a once a year kind of thing, couldn't imagine waking up so early every weeekend!😁
My first ever winch launch we had a cable-break at maximum pitch angle and came down sooner than expected.
Wow that must have been a crazy and unexpected first experience!
Wow! You gain altitude quickly with those tows!
Yes, it's quite fast 😁 (except on hot days!)
