I got the call on Saturday to purchase this watch from my AD this week. After purchasing the guiness earlier this year, I really want my brother to enjoy a precious metal watch as well. So this will be for him.
love this watch, love the dial, love the style of gold and steel, love the simplicity, especially I have a small wrist. Don't care other people think it is a woman watch & think it cool or not. When look at the watch, I smile, that's enough
Great and honest take on the TT. Totally agree with you on all points. I had this watch and traded it for a 14270 and very happy I made the switch. The SS is simply a more versatile piece.
I love the watch. I don't care for the regular Explorer. Just too "white bread" for me. I wouldn't take that watch to any expedition. Haha! The two tone is what I call the "Urban Explorer". It is a good blend of being dressy but also casual. If you don't like the DateJust, the Explorer 124273 is something you need to check out. I've gotten a few compliments on it. I have been wearing the heck out of mine along with my 37mm Yachtmaster.

@@Workingmanlifestyle Haha, same here! I thought it looked great from outside with the top down, but never liked driving it/being a passenger. I often popped the top down on the drive but never went anywhere!! Kids loved it but it didn't stay long.
They should have made the hands and markers in yellow gold , I haven't seen this in the metal but in videos it looks white gold which I consider both lazy from Rolex and a poor decision.
And when they discontinue it because of slow sales the prices will double. I'll be buying this one in a few months I think. I thought it was a genius move once it was released. Kind of stupid to combine a tool watch with gold, something like the Mercedes G class AMG. Made for a military purpose, but now it's a luxury statement with a V8 twin turbo engine. Pointless and stupid, but there's a charm in it. Same with this Explorer.
Two Tone = Rebound watch. Great if you went for the Explorer and Tudor GMT because you wanted them, but for most it's not. You brother does not have an an 'enormous' wrist lol, but you certainly do have a very small one. Saying an Explorer should be called a Datejust is the funniest thing ever. The lack of a date would render that pathetic for most people. Your work attire looks like a school uniform ; ) Two tone Explorer and Sub are a bit of a guilty pleasure (but will probably never buy one).
In my personal opinion it’s one of the most elegant Rolex ever,it’s eye catching without being overly dramatic and goes just under the radar.
I reckon when they discontinue this ppl will say it was the best explorer ever

Rolex have a 5 year guarantee on every watch. It doesnt matter whether you buy it pre owned or not. You just need the guarantee card.
