    I believe you’re supposed to leave the exterior boot flange exposed so that it mates/seals into the countersink located within the large block-off plate(s).

      No. It will give a non flushed surface for the rest of the plate and even warp it. Needs to be %100 flush or risk a leak. Should use 3M 5200 tho and not rtv like I did.

      Ahh.. just did one for the 1st time. You are actually supposed to transfer the seals from the cylinder supposed assemblies (Rutter), to the machines recess in the block-off plate. That is per Riva Racing instructions.
      Not trying to be a “know it all”.. just to help others as well! Your video helped me! Thanks!

      @@chaddenton9641 fair enough I don't recall mine having recesses. But what you've said makes sense.

      all you do is screw one screw into the block off and then take the plate holding screw out

      On the exterior large plates, there is an O-ring supplied for the big hole, and you use the rubber washer from the rudder mount that you tossed out for the small hole. Silicone works probably.

    How did the PWC perform after the OPAS delete? Noticeable difference?

      @jonparkmac  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Little harder to steer around dock and little better handling on hard turns

      Personally I would use 5200 sealant and never look back. Nice informative video.

      Glad it helped. This is what I used off eBay. I don't know about a GTI. www.ebay.com/itm/Deluxe-Billet-Fit-SeaDoo-RXP-RXT-GTX-RXP-X-RXT-X-OPAS-Block-Off-Kit-215-255-hp/313395312248?_mwBanner=1&euid=bc84a0d358434fb7882e50b53a740305&bu=45303005606&segname=11050&crd=20210607085629&osub=-1~1&ch=osgood&sojTags=bu=bu,ch=ch,segname=segname,crd=crd,url=loc,osub=osub&mkcid=7&mkpid=0&emsid=e11050.m43.l1123&ufes_redirect=true&ul_noapp=true&pageci=512f13f7-1777-4f73-92e6-727eb78ce3ce

    SHAME ON RIVA!!! I always find old parts in seadoos when I work on them 🤣

      What's the shame on Riva?

    • @JetEnvy_TV

      @Jonathan McClure stuffing/hiding unused or old parts in the ski is a lazy way to do things "in my opinion".
      The easiest part of the job is removing those line which I would pull out with the rest of the assembly instead of leaving them behind.
      If you pay someone to do the job, which way would you prefer?

    Can you just plug off the hose?

    • @jonparkmac
      @jonparkmac  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Goal is complete remove so you don't have 4 holes in your hull to sink the ski.

    where did you get the kit

    • @jonparkmac
      @jonparkmac  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Off eBay. The ones you want need to have drill out cavity in the back to allow for the little hold screw head. Otherwise you can drill a recess if your careful

    do you still have the opas?

    • @jonparkmac
      @jonparkmac  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you mean for sale, I was going to keep it to sell with ski to next owner
