Hear me out, Scout with: Ali Baba's Wee Booties Buffalo Steak Sandvich Preferably the Bushwacka as your melee Scout is fast, has a double jump, but he has low health The boots increase his speed even further, and gives more hp for melee Buffalo steak sandwich gives minicrits and keeps you in melee and makes you even faster The bushwacka turns those minicrits into actual crits, plus Scout uses his melee faster (I think) TLDR, Hella dangerous use for the steak sandwich
Maybe swap steak for tide turner, since it minicrits and you get +10% move speed from the booties, and you have an on-demand cleanse [The Bootlegger Level 10 Boots +25 max health on wearer +200% increase in turning control while charging +10% faster move speed on wearer (shield required) Melee kills refill 25% of your charge meter ]
@@demi-femme4821 what do you mean? the video is about any class using any loadout, therefore by picking scout you make it much easier to pull off the combo. It's definitely not an optimal loadout, but it sure would be fun.
It’s way too under appreciated. I play on a Hightower server populated with really sweaty 6’s and highlander scout mains, and buying a Natasha was one of the best things I ever did. It hilariously neuters even the best scouts. But if they close the distance before you’re fully revved, you’re still pretty screwed.
Scout has speed and double jump, soldier and demo have rocket/sticky-jump resistance, pyro is afterburn resistant, heavy has more health, engie is a building wisperer, medic has passive regen, spy can cloack. Sniper:
"Sniper wasn't good because everyone was so mobile" One of the reasons mobility increasing items/abilities are dangerous. Give someone too many and they can become busted
The sniper is the one who is busted here, literal infinite range and being able to deal 150dmg in 0.2sec (although it does take a couple weeks of pratice).
@@darkcat6530 Correction: Can't hit anyome in the "head" area. A sniper rifle that can body shot like the Huntsman, or if the Huntsman was hitscan, Sniper would be truly busted. It basically becomes the Quake Railgun, and Quake Pros can hit their railguns in that game fairly well.
@@SyRose901 the hard part is that heads are tiny targets that are constantly moving around with mere mouse movements. this isn't a problem in a game like CS:GO, where your enemy needs to stand still to shoot you anyway, but it adds a gigantic skill ceiling to tf2 sniper on all levels
Skinny gamer here, Pain train scout was the best loadout to abuse the control points, especially on the last points in A/D maps when you needed just a few seconds to win the match just like that.
The beauty of Tf2 is how carefully balanced it is. Notice how even slight balance tweaks, let alone massive overhauls can really bring out the scouts nasty side. Suffice to say, had the Tf2 team not so expertly balanced the game, scout would be the dominant class. His movement speed combined with the raw power of other classes utilities would be a nightmare.
Once, I could use every weapon with every class. The quickfix ubers were infinites with any class but medic. The stickybomb launcher don't remove your disguise when you use it ( like a very special sapper, hehe ). You can eat your own sandwich very fast by throwing it and taking it back with any class but the heavy. You can use Your Eternal Reward to be able to disguise, whatever the class you play. When you play any class but spy and you are disguised, your teamates will see you colored as an enemy player.
@@unusualpizza not randomizer. 1 was scattergun 2 was stickylauncher 3 was golden gunslinger 4 was construction kit 5 was wanga prick 6 was quickfix 7 was flamethrower 8 was sandwich 9 was sniper mouse3 was direct hit + attack mouse4 was jarate + attack I was able to get any weapon I want when I want. I even made a script so when I was using sniper, I had the gunslinger as melee, and when I switched during the same life for Your Eternal Reward, I was equipped with bootleger in primary slot. I was able to use the teleporters as spy from griefers to get inside enemy base / spawn, then build my own teleporter exit inside their base. I was able to use a "golden gunslinger" that is a melee weapon that does not remove your disguise when you use it. And enemy will see you attacking without your disguise being removed, leading to confusion and distress. I did not talked about this weapon in the first comment, because I don't know if this weapon is in the game or if it was kinda modded. I basically changed the game mode to vsh.
I'm surprised spy wasn't better. Cloak with any weapon seems very powerful, but I guess the games were too hectic for that. And then there were the charging heavies. By god those looked terrifying.
Heavy: "We fight like men." *Charges into an enemy player with his minigun revved, instantly killing the poor soul.* "What the hell?! Freaking speed hacker!" God bless you, Kitty0706, for giving us a glimpse at future technology.
The charging heavy was such cool idea man It could be legit a weapon for heavy, not only gives him mobility but also makes weapons like the brass beast and Huo long heater super useful a
Heavy needs a buff to the stupid fucking hidden nerf of being 20% easier to injure with the steak and a faster movement speed after eating it. Why the fuck Valve thought it was a good idea to punish you so much for using melee with a weapon that's literally MEANT to be melee only I have no fucking idea
imagine how extraordinary these metas would be if you built a completely new game with the idea of 'any class can use any weapon' in mind, in no other game would you have a tank class practically teleport into the enemy's face and unload lead point blank or a very mobile glass cannon with a flamethrower outright flambé an entire team
I would love to see a tournament with this plugin, but with a highlander clause to prevent scout rush and a teamwide "use it to lose it" rule (if one player uses a weapon, no players on that team can use it for the set) to prevent teams from picking the same OP loadouts every round.
@@GewelReal it uses some of the mechanics of rando, but why this is different is because you can actually customize loadouts, and thus, not "randomizer"
Yep This needs to be a community server, the thing I would also add is weapon ban, randomly or voted by player Basically removing a weapon from being used in the game can change the entire meta of it
I made a concept for a self-launching heavy melee on r/tf2weaponideas called the knucklethrusters, their stats were: •swinging this melee weapon launches wearer forwards -deals 30 damage to wearer with each swing -45% less primary ammo on wearer. If it was added, heavy could get the base jumper to create a "heavycopter" subclass.
Port over the MVM rage building bar code, so dealing damage builds a meter, but make it so when it's full the heavy completely drops his rev slowdown and gains 30% more movespeed on top of that.
I like to imagine it as the ripped front part of one of those world war one planes that shoot the bullets from the front where the spinny thing is, after a meter is filled with damage the gun allows you to charge full speed at the enemy
If you ever decide to make another video like this, you should make "what if any class could equip any cosmetic? what loadout would be the most cursed loadout?" for halloween
This is the scariest thing I've ever seen, but I love that so many classes are just floating instead of walking because I guess they lack animations for their loadouts
I ended up having a lot of fun as Scout with the Flamethrower/Degreaser, Medigun, and Jag. I just really enjoy being a team player and I felt that load out really suited my playstyle and was very fun (even got a few kills on ya 😋) Thanks for the opportunity to try this stuff out! It was a lot of fun
It's kinda amazing that 6 out of the 9 classes had some sense of utility. Scout for the mobility obviously, but Pyro for the fire immunity, Heavy for the health, Engie for the buildings, Medic for the regen and Spy for the cloak. I dunno what use would have the other classes tho, except maybe a mix health / mobility for demo and soldier
The entire BLU team watching in terror as a Sniper main with the stock Sniper loadout easily kills their entire team from miles away (this includes their 3 phlog scouts and 2 charging heavies):
@@truebruhmoment4667Tfw said Sniper main can go Heavy and give it a Sniper Rifle, a Shotgun and the Escape Plan/Powerjack (You are incredibly oppressive at long-range, you're a 300 hp shotgun man and you can run away with the Escape Plan/Powerjack)
Rewatching this a year later, did nobody think of Natascha Pyro? Pyro's natural immunity to afterburn plus the slowing effect of the Natascha seems like it would be a big help against the Phlog Scout. You could either combine it with the Battalion's Backup and Powerjack for extra speed and health OR a Shield and the Eyelander if you're feeling ballsy for stacking speed and health.
0:18 Quite a while ago there was a bug that people used to equip a minigun in the melee slot so they could use Buffalo Steak Sandwich to get a minicrit boost on miniguns. When spawning, you would simply have NO melee (not a second minigun either) - just a primary and secondary. This was fixed in the November 13, 2014 patch. I remember using it quite a bit on ctf_turbine. This was a different exploit than the 'stand inside dispenser' exploit.
Sitting here imagining more meme loadouts and what a shakeup this would be for MVM. For one, the Huo Long might actually pose a threat to the Brass Beast's dominance if heavy could set things on fire himself. Or you could banner stack with heavies. Added bonus: Also apply this to the robots with custom waves. You could do some evil shit, like extended backup Heavies with sniper rifles.
Just from my experience on randomizer servers my first instinct was: Scout with any kind of rocketlauncher, and knife for backstabs with maybe cozy camper or jarate
Wish I could have been there, that sounds fun. I would tried the medic knight: bootlegger, tide tuner, and bushwacka for changing its mini crits into crits. It would be like the old tide tuner before it got nerfed with better run speed and passive healing
the dream i've been having for years has finally come true, every class having access to other class kits i don't mean that like i was hoping for it or something, i mean i literally keep having dreams where tf2 classes can use weapons from other classes. i get one every year or so, even though i haven't really played tf2 since around 2012
I just recently got a plugin working that allows any class to pick up any weapon from the ground. While making it, I had questions as to whether it would be too unbalanced since I had seen this video before - what if a scout picked up a direct hit? Or a spy could cloak with stickies? But it turns out that, since you can die pretty easily and often in tf2, you would always die before you got too big for your britches and lose the weapon. Even if you did go on a good killstreak, it wouldn't be too hard for lots of people to rush you and kill you, since they only needed to kill you once before you lose your advantage. Not to mention you need to find a good weapon in the first place. You can equip a weapon on one class, killbind, and switch classes, but with respawn times it becomes not worth it and simply unfun to be waiting upwards of 30 or 40 seconds each death. I know this doesn't have much to do with the video, but I figured it's tangential enough to write down. The difference between choosing what you want and finding what you want is a lot bigger than I first thought, and it really cast a light on how huge death is as a balancing tool.
3:23 convenient of you to show the clip where i missed my reflect and not one of the clips where i reflected a direct hit rocket at point blank... (jk, this was actually very fun. I set up binds for scout with flamethrower/shotgun/homewrecker and flamethrower/shotgun/jag to be a pybro scout.) I got 14 heads as Heavyknight at some point on barnblitz. it was pretty neat.
Hahaha I thought the same thing cause I spent a while dominating as a tide turner heater heavy but aside one clip at 6:27 it was just me dying. But yeah, this was great fun, and those barnblitz rounds were great
It would be pretty funny if weapons that gave/removed health were percentages so for instance, gunslinger (+25 max health) would become +20% max health. This would be really oppressive on characters like heavy, but it'd be fun to see just how broken it is
5:53 I feel like the heavy with a shield and minigun it can become a new weapon, maybe just remove Shield damage and some low boost few downsides and you get your self a new minigun.
Years ago, there was a community server i used to frequent that would occasionally run a plugin allowing you to select any weapon on any class. My favorite was always minigun scout. similar to the charge n targe heavy you mentioned, but with double jump and no charge cooldown. I actually did mess with direct hit scout a bit, but i was never effective enough with the direct hit to make it as much fun.
I remember playing a lot of randomizer back in the day. getting scout with a rocket launcher was amazing. I went on so many killstreaks being able to get to just about any position and blow enemies away with a couple of well placed rockets then run away to safety, and come back to do it again. its an unstoppable combination.
This was a fun time. I hope you have like 1 server or something later down the line that runs this plugin. It's always fun to try and figure out that one wacky loadout that suits you.
Giving scout almost any other classes weapons would make him annoyingly strong, but still manageable on account of his low health. But now imagine a spy with a degreaser, or a heavy with a PDA.
