    what drew me to these was the reverse fans. Thanks for the close up!

    Awesome video! Thanks for making it. I'll look into your feedback when I go to swap out my current fans. I like the white and silver look. Currently rocking 11 of the Corsair SP fans with the 22 cables that goes a long with it. I'm pretty sure I'm not going with Corsair again in the future even with the new link system they have. I appreciate the time you took to film this.

      Thanks for your feedback Shaka215x!! I do like the Corsair system, even with 22 cables, but that is getting old dealing with that, and there are quite a number of options now for modular fans. I do like the look of these Phanteks fans and that you have lots of control options. Sounds like you have an awesome build!!! Have fun and thanks for the support!!

    If i didn't have dozens and dozens of fans already, i would be using their t30s and d30s in all my builds.

    Nice looking kit it would look great in a completely white installation.

      @@HardwareArtisan Can these fans output complete pure white from the LED's? Or do they end up with a blue tint

    I just put five in my NV5 case, easy peasy, anybody that breaks the fittings is an idiot, take a deep breath and actually look at the shapes of the corner pieces, the rectangular tab fits the rectangular slot, if you can put Lego together you can do this without mishap.. Great Fans.

    How many of these fans RGB connectors can be daisy chained into one mb argb header?

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi 1gamerdad287, the documentation for the d30-120 fans shows limiting your setup to chaining up to 4 fans together. That would be one limitation, so 4 fans per ARGB header.
      Your ARGB header can likely support more than that, but I wouldn't chain more than 4 together. In addition, you have to consider how much power your PWM connector will support as well.
      You may likely have more than 1 ARGB/PWM connector on your motherboard to allow for more fans. If not, or it's not practical, I'd consider using an ARGB/PWM HUB powered by a SATA power connector, this would expand a single ARGB/PWM port to allow for more fans and make it easier to manage. In any case, I'd still not chain more than 4 together
      Good Luck, have fun and thanks for watching!!!

      @HardwareArtisan thanks for the response! I think I was going to hold it to Max 4 for RGB and Max three for fan connections. I have a 3+1 configuration so I'm going to plug three into pwm and the separate one into it's own pwm then daisy chain 4 into an aRGB header. That's what I think I'm going to do anyways lol

    If I buy the 3 fan kit I can just connect 2 of them and keep the 3rd one as a spare, right?

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi SpawnOfBlackie, you are correct, you don't have to use all 3 together, 2 together is fine with a spare on shelf. Great question! Thanks for watching!!!

    Can you connect an additional single fan to the trio like with Lian Li's unifan setup?

    • @gsi16
      @gsi16 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, output end of trio with a M to M pwm extension cable goes to the input of the single fan (or a pwm Y 2 way splitter cable). Not out of the box solution , but it could be done

    Hello for the D30 fans, what program is the one with which you control everything.

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi @Exlisticc, that's a great question, there is no specific software you need for the D30-120 Fans. These don't have a controller included, these have a 3 pin 5v ARGB connector and are intended to connect to your motherboard's ARGB header. You would then use your motherboards RGB software to control that header, in turn controlling the lighting on the fan.
      The Phanteks controller demonstrated is a standalone controller with buttons and doesn't require software to function.
      There are other ways to connect these fans of course, you could adapt them into corsair and use iCUE to control them for example.
      Let me know if I can help, thanks for watching!!!

    Still looking if this tripple pack can be split up. In my case 1x120 en 2x120. And if they can then still be linked up. I want 2x120 in the top of my pc and 1x120 in the back. That is why i'm asking/searching.

    These cost the same as Thermaltakes EX120 Swafan 3 pack which come with built in reverse blade customization ability and no plastic joiners to break. If these fans for a 3 pk were in the $50 range which about what they are worth in terms of quality and performance they would be the new budget king fan. $90 for these in a 3pk is just not worth it seeing as Lian Li Unifans and Thermaltake Swafans cost the same. Great try Phanteks Fans are nice but way overpriced for the market they are in.
